Who Remember Buffs and debuffs in C5 NA?

A friend and I that used to game together back in C4-C5 recently were talking about the old days and got onto a debate about buff slots and debuffs back on C5 NA. I thought I remembered that on C5 NA servers that the 20+4 (4 divine books) buff slots and the seperate 10 slot debuff bar were implemented during C5 on NA servers. He insists that those changes were only on Korean for C5 and did not get implemented on NA servers until Kamael or hellbound.

Anybody remember how this unfolded on the NA servers?
i recall song/dance taking up buff slots before they added a separate bar for song/dance.
now song/dance is consumed by those nifty non enchanter class toggles.

i also remeber some buffs being stronger than others, and when Berserker's spirit was considered a debuff as well as a buff.

When you state "berserker spirit" was considered a de-buff as well as a buff. The original poster is speaking in terms of mechanics. Your response about berserker spirit is referring to player opinion? If you are going by opinion, then you are wrong. Berserker spirit was a buff that sacrificed defenses for power. It was appropriate for certain classes. Do not label it as a debuff.
Pretty sure that dances/songs were counted in the normal buff slots till CT2... But probably memory serves me wrong.
people used to use the the buff for raids on the bosses to reduce their defense. i didn't mean for the players.

I remember when some Hierophants used it as a debuff in their tactis in Oly, to help nerf some class's pdef. It was like casting Bless the Soul to help them to burn mana of the opponents, since the buff could give a 'false' impression of reducing current mana of the target (in this case, for the target, the buff should look 'n work as a debuff).
An older dated post from "Beleth's Slave" posted in Oct-2006 if that helps....and I don't recall when, but after additon of slots with Divine inspiration then....C5? started the combination skill learnable with a spellbook to combine two buffs into a single slot.....

Re: New buff slots - quest name
Peoples bought 4 because they believe thats what they needed but no it's not that simple

Thers 4 different lv's of the SB, and obtained differently, only the first one is buy able.

Lv 2 is raid bosses
Lv 3 is drops from antharas valakas and the new rb
and lv 4 is from the olympiad.

I understand, I did not read it that way at first but I do remember that.
