So, I was looking at some ru videos from CPs from different servers fighting in the AM championship.
Why not make that here?
Could make 1b adena by CP to join, winner gets 3/6 of the adena, 2º place gets 2/6 and third gets 1/6 of the adena, or something like that.
Or maybe just do it for the fun.
To avoid 100+ cps fighting in a rly long championship, could limit to lv 99, or 10 cps per server or something like that.
I look at videos from iLucie and Martelx.. keep imagining those 2 cps fighting.. Or maybe a really good cp from shilen kills them? Who knows..
What I do know is that it'd be really nice.
1. Make a way to select who is going to participate.
2. Select time (saturday, 20h, f.e.) and how many times per year (3 per year)
3. Duplicate all chars to a new server (to avoid transfering heroes and making some kind of bug). That new server would only be used for those fights.
4. Make some kind of prize (even if it's "Hero chest" with 0,01% chance to come anything good), just enough to motivate ppl.
5. Record all fights and post it on youtube.
Making those fights without help from ncsoft would be really complicated. So here is my suggestion. Hope you like it.
Well, not really. I don't know about ilucie (martelx is like common knowledge), but most CPs I know that do a lot of pvp play the chars themselves in those fights.
Since one the most fun things to do on L2 is pvp, they like to actually control the char. And I think that there are lots of other cps that do the same.
I still think it'd be really interesting making the top cps from all the servers fight themselves.

Most of self called top groups here would also avoid it. PvP is terrible and boring in L2, it's all about botting to the highest possible lv, donating/hacking the best gear, using scripts in pvp and then fighting a weaker opponent. It's beyond pathetic.
Such a tournament would be great to have here. I've almost gotten a group on Innova EU to participate in tournament this month there, but their tank happened to have time in the end. :( And i'm not sure that NC West is to be capable of organizing something like that in here, but if they do so i would love to participate.
Sadly it would not be in NC's power/competence to block 3rd party soft since they are completely handless at dealing with this problem. They might be able to deal with exp/farm bots a little bit, but they fail on 100% to deal with pvp side of this software. Which would stop many people from willing to participate. That's where i see the greatest problem of such tournament taking place under NC West.

Well, yes, it's either gank and pr or bring huge numbers to 1 side on a small fight.
This tournament doesn't work cause our "tops" are sad r -tards who feed on legits for self-esteem.
I'd feel ashamed to have these nabs respresenting our server, if our friends from other regions would see such tournament videos, we would give such bad image which even more says western society are a bunch of individualists with selfish and r- **** goals that simply cannot play a game without subject everyone else with their egocentricity and legit sarcasm.

I don't see this as an issue unless they were forced to use non top gear aka eternal jewels instead of epics

no. They are simply afraid to fight with opponents in equal conditions because they can lose. They wanted to copy their character with all their equipment to the tournament server instead of being in same armor, jewels etc as other participants.
Well, the same way that there are ppl that wouldn't want to participate, I think that there are a lot of ppl that have real skills on pvp and would be willingly to enter this tournament, such as iLucie.
And lets say a hero from some server doesn't want to participate. That doesn't mean anything. There would still be a LOT of ppl having fun participating in the event and others would have fun watching his/her favorite CP on equal grounds with others.
And we could see other ppl that doesn't have the necessary gear to shine on servers now (r95 +3 isn't so good) doing really well against the "heroes" of all 5 servers.
I think L2 is 90% about pvp (be on siege, open field, old RB, etc.), so this would fall right under that.
Since it'd be a side event, NCSoft could even charge an entry fee for each CP (to cover the new costs this event would give).
And the Winners would be awesome script tea party from chronos DiegoV and his scrubs.. no thx
erm not really as GM's would be watching so I doubt they would be that dumb..
and even if so we all know how it went when Nova's top pvp party went to Naia and got destroyed until they upgraded their scripts as theirs was way below par to what was/is used on Naia..
don't forget for which server the most popular pvp 3rd party soft was developed first and foremost and even thou that was many years ago imo it still holds true..
but back on track maybe that pvp event would be the global olympiad event that they had in Korea ?
As much as I love this idea, I don't think NCWest will (or can) currently coordinate an event like this, they currently seem to be understaffed and lets face it, when was the last time they honestly listened to player suggestions?
Now, try suggesting this again with a 1000 NCoin buy in (Per member - Aka 7000 Coins per group) and maybe, MAYBE then will you get an answer. However I highly doubt you will get any feedback on this.
Sure, script helps to do somethings, but there are a lot of things that people do much better.
To have experience on pvp, to know when to attack the healer, or when to change target to a DD to try to kill it while both healers are healing each other, or when to start healing a DD as a healer, when you see that he got bullseye. I think that those who don't use script would have a good chance on that fight.
About NCSoft doing it, I agree that we could pay a fee to enter, but I think that ncsoft, as any other company, wants its clients happy. If NCSoft confirm that such an event would do that, I don't see any problem of spending sometime making it happen.
@FrontOfArmament afraid your being to optimistic or just dont fully understand how much scripts influence things but as said before as long as there will be close GM scrutiny during such cross server competition then it should be fine as really only idiots would use scripts when they know GM's will check their logs..

would be rly nice to see how those top parties would do against others on equal gear conditions (probly suck without +++lol gears and epics :D )
And you'd probably be in for a rude awakening. A lot of people in top clans are there because they are competitive and have half a clue how to play the game. They understand the mechanics, the gear, and what to do in pvp. If you think that everyone just turns on a script and becomes good at pvp then you're pretty clueless.

I never mentioned scripts on my post, and when you talk about game mechanics theres not much stuff to deal with, a 16 YO boy could understand Many of the aspects of PVP, but noone in their life will ever meet the level of skill necessary to beat a good pvp script.

Pretty much. They say they can run without scripts, but I have yet to see one in Open Mass PvP do that.
Well its like, maybe they were good to begin with, and are well informed, but all start to become so dependant on scripts, they loose instincts and timings without scripting.
It's like playing a action/platofrm game with infinite health or no mana points drain, you loose skills by continuously playing this way.

I agree that many top pts could play really well.
Hell, everyone talk about martelx using scripts, but he plays lineage 2 doing pvp all the time for more than 5 years? Don't know how long, but I'm sure he did A LOT OF PVP, WAY more than most ppl that play Lineage 2.
