Bishops or Prophets

Hello. I'm a new player and I'm still learning about L2, so I wanna know if Bishops (cardinal) and prophets(hierophant) are good classes to start with. I always have played as a healer and now I want to do the same, but I dont know if it's that easy to find a party in Lineage 2.

I still don't have friend @Magmeld and obviosly I cannot hunt monsters all by myself (as a bishop), so what do you guys think about those classes for starters?

Tell me what a Shillien Elder is supposed to do then, since I was one and I leveled up to 80 by nuking down stuff. Then made parties (at that time there were).

Am I supposed to use Wind Strike lv. 5...forever? o_o

At lv 44 (dunno what level you are) you get holy nukes (can't recall the names, it's been a looong time...). They are more powerful than Wind Strike, for sure.
Wind Strike is more than enough to get fast to 44 nowadays. Then you can forget about it.

Might of Heaven? I'm still 38 but I think that might of heaven can only be used against undead...

Level 44 nukes, and you're set.

No, no. Divine something and Divine Flash. They're the healer's nukes, no need to restrict yourself into hunting undeads.

just do it old school and wear heavy + dualsword! >:)

Hmm... I can see that Shillien Elder can learn Divine Flash and Divine Pushment, but I still can't see when a Bishop learn that skill....

Once you change class, you see.

Some quick points:

Bishop will awaken into an Aeore Healer at 85.

Prophet will awaken into an Iss Enchanter at 85.

So if you want to play a healer, play the Bishop. Prophets do not get high level heals, so you'd never be useful for that. Prophets are buffers.

Bishops get the nukes that other healers get. I recently soloed a healer all the way through 76 with those nukes. Mentor buffs made all mobs rather trivial.

Imo if you're going for 85+ and you plan on making a 2nd account go PP, it will save you a lot of time to have a box Iss in the long run.

On the other hand if you want to have fast leveling along with a true healer main, go bishop.

I soloed my Bishop from lvl 1-85 (she is now an Aeore Healer lvl 89). Using ure "baby" skills below 40 will suffice...after lvl 40...use the Divine nukes...Might of heaven is for undead, Divine punishment for all mobs and Divine Flash for AoE. Like "HeirtoRune" said ...id make a 2nd account using a prophet/swordsinger/bladedancer/warcryer/overlord and get it to lvl 85 before you lvl the Bishop...this way when you lvl up the Bishop you will have nice "New" Buffs" to lvl with. here's a little tip for you...if you plan on in the future to run with a clan...i would go with the Overlord/Dominator as come Lindivior when they return to 34 characters again...the Dominator will become the clan wide buffer like it was before GoD...they will be Godly, also great pvp type buffs...Iss Dominator FTW :p

Divine Punishment is much more efficient than Might of Heaven. Does more damage per nuke and costs much less MP. Might of Heaven is spammable, but drains MP quick.

Might of Heaven have less mana cost and more power... if you farm on undead mobs is better to use this nuk...

every iss at 99 has their buffs clan type, sonatas and resists are still group tho.

everyone keeps saying iss dominator will be godly. seriously, have people stopped thinking or you forgot the dominator was mostly a robe+magic weapon and they had mage stats, now they are a physical class and their magic stats suck and they wear heavy and a physical type weapon. not only that their mana is limited, the heal will cost 3x time the mp that is now, all their debuffs are magic and 400ish mp so not much room for spamming. if those land, if... they get cleansed instantly in pvp, gl with that. maybe their is a reason in korea only 6% of total iss population went iss dominator, even iss doomcryer are like 12% and rest went bd/sws/pp.

Celestial dispel every 2 minutes is quite powerful. Should be a good counter vs ganks.

I'm a healer myself... That's why I'm so sure of my ability to level up one with nukes. :o

Healer = Small nuker
Phophet = Wolf with buff habilities (not fenrir).

Prophet = predicts the future.
