He changed the question after first response – the previous version of question was not telling anything :P

The question is not what dyes to use but how to afford the dyes in the first place because right now the only functional dyes are running at a price of 500 million per tattoo, assuming you can even find 10 dyes altogether.

I've heard people say that you always come out ahead when buying dyes even if you resell them to the NPC after but that is a flat out lie verifiable either by doing the math, through a thought experiment or through an actual experiment.

I have just read through this post and have bought a 2H Retributer but my issue is with my tattoos,

I'm not sure if i'm posting correctly as i've just registered here and been playing solid for 2 months

my char is 86 Feoh storm Screamer and can anyone suggest/recommend what i do with my DYES

Here are my stats

Dyes are as follows
Level 1 Legendary INT +3 -1 WIT
LEVEL 1 legendary WIT +3 -2 Men
LEvel 2 Ancient WIT +4 -3 Men

Stats are
INT 106(+3) WIT 85((+8) MEN 65(-7)

Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

Wit all the way, imo

Int +15 are not so cheap.. so maybe you can manage first +5 int without any other plus, or try +3-2 always reduce men or wit, just try to get an accesory with men or wit, if you decide any of those, thats while you can get better dyes, and a m atk hat, i prefeer that, not int, ive seen most dmg on m atk than int, im 99 btw :)
