Bye bye to white chat in towns

We have a new problem. It's no news that advertising bots stole from us trade and shout chats, but today i noticed that their audacity reached new heights - they even started to flood white chat. So now we either have to /block every single flooder or turn off even white chat in towns?

personally I just /block everytime some new spammer arrives. It's about 1-2 times a day I need to /block a spammer, so it's not really that much work.

Personally I've started to get mails from adena sellers... This is annoying as hell because you can't block them easy with just clicking their name and add /block in front of it. You actually have to type the name which makes it a pain in the butt!

Yeah right... there are many legit players, traders whatever else with the nicks of "sdhfjsdcd" "mgmgmmhmf"....

I guess that's one of bad sides of free to play system, but still annoying. And it even getting worse. Recently i also noticed increased mailing activity from spam bots. Used to get advertisement mail from time to time, but now geting it every single day and not just one but several at the time and before all this nyerk can be deleted - i have to open/read it! Nice progress. And that's after <40 chars were muted. New players would really have very good first impressions indeed.

It's not fun. I always love duoing Kama with my 16+ Top D weapon with a stranger. Playing as a Kamael Trooper is always fun.

To be honest, GG was never really about stopping bots. It was supposed to make us safer (lol) from keyloggers, etc. I don't think it's ever stopped a bot but has blocked many an innocent program.

When GG was first implemented, Ash (the CM at the time) said it wouldn't block anything unrelated to L2. I PMed him with a list of applications that it did block, from my own PC, that were not related to L2 and he never replied to me.

GG is now and always has been a waste in L2. It causes far more problems than it solves.
