Hey guys, was just looking for tips for hunting spots?
i went from 85 - 88 in swamps, but that gets pretty busy and lots of wynns.
where is a good place to solo from 88 onwards, other than friary.

Because it's a party zone. But imho it's pretty soloable, provided you don't pull too many mobs... (hard to do, I admit it.)
Isle of souls is the place where the Strongholds are and where Kamael Village used to be.
It's a party zone balanced for 9x and to even think about that you need amazing gear otherwise you'll either be pulling so few MOBs it isn't worth it or getting swamped by MOBs trying to keep true pace with a solo zone. Wouldn't even bother trying to solo there.
You have high part of swamplands, Altar or Evil still usable until 89, Fairy at the low end should be doable, and Antharas Lair is doable until 89 if you are out of other options (but like every other place minus maybe fairies, heavily botted).
