Testing: Success rate applying a Bloody / Dark stone to a standard amaranthine weapon at the Blacksmith of Mammon.
Question: Somehow it has gotten into the public perception that there is a 50/50 chance at applying this item to a standard weapon, however anyone who I have ever known to have tried this has failed. It takes several months of farming and 10+ billion adena to even try so some indication on if it is even possible would be very helpful.
Reason: There is no public information on the success/failure rate of using this item on standard items.Items Tested: Dark Amaranthine Enhancement Stone, Blessed Amaranthine Cutter, and Standard Amaranthine Cutter.
Number of Weapons Upgraded: 1,000 per type (standard/blessed)
Results:
Standard Amaranthine Cutter - 598/1,000 (59.8% success)
Blessed Amaranthine Cutter - 1,000/1,000 (100% success)
Standard Amaranthine Cutter (40 Elcyum) - 821/1,000 (82.1% success) ~20% Success Rate [Also applies to upgrading Eternal Armor]
Does the Dark stone disappear every time it fails?
(It's L2, you gotta wonder >< )
It disappears when you upgrade. *Watches Blessed Scroll prices jump through the roof*
also the bless R99 scrolls are insane rare & expensive enough as it is hehe..
I might dare to claim that there isn't even a Blessed R99 Scroll left on Naia.

has this been tested on the Lindvior patch and do the same odds apply for the armors ?

This was not tested on Lindvior. There were new requirements added for upgrading in the next update, which will make it more expensive to do. I'll create a new test for the Lindvior version later.

MORE? Holy crap... =(
It's an extra upgrade option that will give you a chance to decrease the failure rate. Pretty much like with the Kaliel's Energy option with Seed Talismans.
What you read was a crummy Google Translation of a patch note originally saying that you can no longer sell the stones for adena in the store.
May be a red name saying that will help clear this mess we are trying to explain since months there.
nice so ill buy a normal ama shaper not a blessed one ;)
thanks for the info
I failed if you don't understand. :)
And you'll waste your stone like me... because the stone disappears anyway.
So use bless weapon or wait lindvior with extra upgrade (ofc if it's true).
Thanks for the test, pretty good chances with elcyum.
If its not trouble would it be possible to verify the same applies to armor parts when used with elcuym? Just to cover all our bases :)The 20% success rate from upgrading with Elcyum also applies to armor :)
This test has been updated when you use Elcyum to upgrade to a PvP/PvE weapon.
Hello, has the rate to upgrade amaranthine weapon (standard) with PvE stone changed in Lindvior or it remained the same ~58%? I see you upgraded this test with elcyum results and what about normal try without it?

No change. For standard weapon upgrade without elcyum is 60%.

Hi Juji
Can make this test's for Valiance, because on Lind and Vali i try put one Bloody Eternal Gauntlets and fail on both chronicles with Elcyum... i just want know if this still working 100%... 2 times with 80%+ and fail, can maybe one bug!( or just really no lucky)
So many people in this thread that are not understanding how Lineage II game mechanics work. The game is not adding up your attempts and failed attempts do not count towards your future chances.
A 60% chance is a 60% chance on every attempt. You can be lucky and succeed every single time with a 60% chance or be unlucky and get the 40% failure chance every attempt.
Also, if you success rate passes to future attempts failing twice in a row is still normal, because there is a 4/10 chance of failure.
Start crying on failing and burning adena when you do 10 attempts in a row and don't end up with 6 successful attempts. Because when you do 10 attempts and you fail 6/10 the numbers are off OR you're just really unlucky. A sample size of 1 or 2 isn't a sample size. And as I said, failing twice in a row is still in line with failure rate and test results.

Where you see "crying" here? People just asking about changing in new update and stating the fact of failed attempts... that's all.
So many words about nothing...
It might be a dumb question, but it is possible to apply the 2nd SA on R99 PvP/PvE weapon with 1SA?
Or it is same like S-Grade weapons, and only Echanting is possible after the PvP option and i need both SA first?

You can add 2nd SA and whatever you want after you pvp it
LUC (LUCK) :
- LUC shows your fortune. The main effects are the following:
- Item enchantment, crafting, spoil and sweep will succeed when LUC is triggered. A 4-Leaf
Clover Visual Effect appears when LUC triggers on Craft/Enchant (Includes Lady Luck system
message).
- When using spoil and sweep, or Plunder, if LUC is activated, you'll get double the items.
When LUC activates using these skills a chat message appears: "Lady Luck smiles upon you!"
- You'll be able to dodge lethal blows when LUC is activated. Basically, you have a chance to
evade killing blows of any damage inflicted in PvP/PvE. Not related to "Lethal Blow" type
attacks.
it is increasing even the chance to put appearance on your armor
