Testing: Percent damage reduction per attribute value
Question: How many percent of damage does each additional Def Attribute Value reduce?
Reason: With Tauti update comes a new formula for attribute differences (i.e. an attacking character's Atk Attribute Value minus a defending character's Def Attribute Value of the same element). Now, you can additionally reduce incoming damage by having more Def Attribute Value than the attacker's Atk Attribute Value. Assume the source http://www.pirateninjas.net/articles...e-attack-test/ (http://www.pirateninjas.net/articles/lineage-2/elemental-attribute-attack-test/) for previous updates is correct, we should expect similar results.I know this is a bit late, but this is how the attribute system was changed in Tauti.
If the defender's attributes are higher than the attacker's attribute stats, the damage will be lower than before. (Same applies to NPCs as defenders.)
EX:The defending character has raised their defending attribute to be higher than the attacker to resist attribute damage bonus.
Formula Before Tauti
[Attacker Basic damage 100] + [Attribute at 20 points, so damage bonus is +20] - [Defender's Attribute at 100, so damage bonus resistance is - 100] = [100 Damage]
Explanation:
The attacker's 20 attribute point damage was canceled out because the defender had 100 attribute resistance, but the attacker's 100 base damage still goes through.
Formula After Tauti
[Attacker's Basic Damage 100] + [Attribute at 20 points, so damage bonus is +20] - [Defender's Attribute at 100, so damage bonus resistance is - 100] = [100 Damage - (defense attribute bonus when defender's attribute is 80)]
Explanation:
The attacker's 20 attribute point damage was canceled out because the defender had 100 attribute resistance, but the attacker's 100 base damage will be reduced based on the extra attribute resistance from the defender.

Max Attribute Bonus when Weapon is at 300 Attribute
There is a max attribute Bonus when using a Weapon at 300 Attribute, which is now 1.25 x the base damage. Before Tauti, the max bonus was 1.7x
Max Attribute Bonus Example:
Attacker Damage with 0 Attribute Weapon {Defender with 0 Attribute Resistance} - 2,819 Damage
Attacker Damage with 300 Attribute Weapon {Defender at 0 Attribute Resistance} - 3,524 Damage

A non-attribute skill would add on the attacker's attack attribute damage bonus.
If there is no attribute for the growth range or set skill, this would resolve the issue of not having an attribute even when bestowed on an item; it would also lead to more attributes being bestowed.
If there is no attack attribute from the attacker, the defender's attribute is set to be the highest one among the 6 attributes they have.
If there is no attack attribute from the attacker, the attack is recognized as a non-attribute; the defender's attribute stat would be the highest one among the 6 attributes they have, thus calculating the final damage.
