even though I'm a light elf and the TK-Sigul will be really hard to kill after the update after Lindvior I've decided to stick to my original choice and go SK-Sigul as I just prefer offensive play style and having 2 spammable para attacks is going to be funny :D
As a girl I like animals and changes ;p
So, I decided to try this time something I always wanted here - a kitty. I played Dark Elf ST, and as a Sigel my husband made a great offensive build which was very good, so I stick to it - offensive + a nice looking companion Blood Panther. I don't like looking of a lion, but panther is amazing (I love hidden eyes :D).
Simply I just take my cougars from dualclass, make a fusion from them like in DB ;p And poof - panther is ready to fight. Good that summoner soulshots from dualclass works on all pets ^^
So - Dark Elf Hell Knight is a way for me this time :)
with the changes in the update after Lindvior I would say best defensive tank will be TK as we're really going back to the pre GoD style class differences..
PK gets a salvation skill and improved root skill whereas TK gets a cleanse cubic (or just a passive to be near impossible to get debuffed) and a guardian cubic which makes him faster and harder to kill so yeah..
btw DA will be back as well pending on how this new skill is going to work with his panther, Touch of Death aka the return of death touch
Prolly in a future old 83 powerful partybuffs from tanks may be back, who knows? :) Maybe PK will be able to trade lion for phoenix pet?
---
Yea, I am wondering too how this panther skill will be working so instead of ST I picked HK this time whathever it will be - good or not too good, but... I'll be lovin' it for sure ^^
I enjoyed Godlike mode on Phoenix Knight
It had the highest dps among all Tanks but now it seems ST/DA will be the most offensive. So I guess I am going for ST/DA.
I would keep my "humanity" if sacrifice was improved enough and if they brought back Angelic Icon/Archon.
Also ST can keep hex cubic which doesn't stuck with Armor Destruction.
If the new hex cubic stucks then it's more probable for me to go ST.
old hex+new hex dont stack, they override each other.
TK gets a cleanse cubic (or just a passive to be near impossible to get debuffed)
afaik it's active skill that dispels debuffs.
old hex dosnt stack with armor destro, old hex doesnt stack with new hex, so its only normal new hex doesnt stack with armor destro.
The same as violent temper and armor crush and shock blast (?).

Why did they made the new Sigel PK so weak ? I don't even get the point to choose this class. Beside the mass root (wich is great), all you get is a lol sacrifice 2000 hp. Ok, there is some multiplicators with gears/epics and buffs but seriously....
And what will the update after will bring ? Soul of the Phoenix, lol ! This skill was great 3 years ago but it is useless now, who care to die now, everyone can rez 100% ??? If this skill was effective in Oly, ok that would make sense (but that would be OMG overpowered).
This is a shame because I was PK and really enjoyed this class, bring back flame icon !!!
I think the biggest question I have on the PK is if their sacrifice will be oeable in a future update. And if so... what options it will have. If it can be OE'd to act like it was before they become viable as a tank with effectively unlimited hp again.
Short of that, the mass shackle, while nice, isn't exactly one of the skills that made them good in the past. The HK is another one that isn't great right now, but the non penalty cat is still nice, freely being able to use it regardless of who you are fighting is absolutely a bonus.
For me, I still need to try the TK and PK both. Orc stats are a fair bit different than the DE/LE stats in a few ways, so the overall feel is something I need to look into.
For my dual class, thinking in go to Shillien Templar.
Nice Combo: Agression (+10 hex = -10% p.def) + shield charge (-10% p.def) + cubes (-15% atk speed, -15% P.def, - 15% m.def) + rage aura (-20 % atk speed and p.atk) + Certificates from sub ( p.atk + 4%) and dual class (+12% p.atk) + Shillien's Presence (6% p.atk).
But maybe I take Evas templar :P Hard to decide xD I know, 2 different type of gameplay, but I don't wanna just tank tank tank and cause lame dmg. Once u have a nice healer on pt, just be happy.
We have to consider the classes at lvl 99:
Evas templar:
Evas's Presence lvl 4: Increase Character P. Def./ M. Def. by 6% and there is a 30% chance that upon hitting a target, party member's P. Def./ M. Def. and healing recieved is increased by 4% for 10 seconds.
Buff cubic lvl 4: Summons Buff cubic. Sigel Buff cubic uses magic to restore the owner's 600 HP.
Mind cubic lvl 4: Summons Mind cubic. Sigel Mind cubic uses magic to restore the owner's 40 MP.
Superior Guard Stance lvl 4: Shield Defense Rate +15%.
Shillien Templar:
Shilien's Presence lvl 4: Increase Character P. Atk./ M. Atk. by 6% and there is a 30% chance that upon hitting a target, party member's P. Atk./ M. Atk. is increased by 6% for 10 seconds
Phamtom Cubic lvl 4: Summons Phantom cubic. Sigel Phantom cubic which uses magic to reduce targets Atk. Spd./Cast Spd by 15%.
Hex Cubic lvl 4: Summons Hex cubic. Sigel Hex cubic which uses magic to decrease the enemy's P. Def. by 15%.
Lightninh Root lvl 4: With lightning, inflicts non-attribute damage on the target with 22,848 Power added to M. Atk. Instantly becomes paralyzed for 5 seconds. Requires a shield.
I made some pvps with my dual class full geared with r95 stuff vs other people lvl 99 and is hard for them make me dmg at lvl 95, I really don't think is necessary more shield def rate (iron aura and focus shield to mass pvp give u lol 145% shield def rate).
So, sigel cube + agressive style + long range paralyze looks more usefull for pvp and also for small scale pvp than 600 hp + 40 mp.
PS: Once is just for my dual class, will ask for my friend tankers test and tell me haha!
Do we know 100% sure if Cube "Hex" stack with Rage aura ?
Well, i'm still hesitating between SK and DA (considering the Epeisodion update). I think how often the "Vampirism" skill trigger will help me to choose.

Why not? Rage Aura is a Self Buff, cubes act like... hum.. "individual" =P

honestly i have no idea :/
i was PK before this class merge and wanted to go back to it, but reading the changes i dunno, looks like an ET but without cubics :/
what i would like to know is the cd for heal cubics, since 600 hp (at lvl 99) are like nothing if happens every 120 sec.

The timer on the heal is the same as knight cubic and the mana regen, which by my count is every 10 seconds. Kind of disappointing imo. At level 1 cubic you get 200hp and 10mp every 10 seconds. Fully buffed at 88 I have 33,778 hp and 5004 mp. From 0 it would take around 28 minutes to fully heal and about 18 minutes to fully recharge. Even at level 4 you only get 600/40. If I gained 0 hp from now until cubic lvl 4 it would still take around 6.5 minutes to fully heal and around 4.5 minutes to fully recharge. All of this is of course not taking into consideration natural regen rate etc.
I'm heavily considering changing to a different sigel already as this is very disheartening and I now understand why it is the least played tank in Korea.
Also, in the Lindvior preview, wasn't ET touted as a tank with the ability to heal its party? Also not the case by any means.
Edit: just looked. 'Ability to restore the whole party's HP.'
EK is the hardest to kill and in the update after Lindvior that even gets more so..
ppl got the wrong expectations imo as the changes compared to the old Sigul class are minimal so don't know why ppl were expecting to see shocking differences ?
I like my paralyze but can't understand why the new cubics have such weird time duration and not same as old cubic.. it's quite annoying to remember to click them back up as it takes a few seconds before I realize am down 2..

Agree. I had inflated expectations, and quite honestly my character was strong before update and only got stronger with new changes, but I feel like they were overhyped a little bit as well.
The thing that bothers me the most is the information on the official site stating that they will be able to heal their parties hp. While I don't anticipate to make a healer comoletely obsolete by any means, at least having a small heal to help generate agro would be nice.
I'm still testing out the TK at the moment. I find that in PvP I'm taking a HUGE amount of damage over what I used to. It seems like not only do the other classes hit harder, but my shield def is a bit lower in non ideal situations than it was. I can't put numbers on this simply because it's hard for me to test right now, but I've seen a lot more missed shield blocks than I recall seeing before. Some of this I think is the level difference just being felt more with the increased damage, but hard to tell until I ding.
That and yes the shortened duration for the new cubics vs the knights is idiotic and is driving me nuts.
The cubics themselves aren't bad. I wasn't expecting another 10% heal on top of the KC, so the small (and fairly frequent) heal + the mp is pretty much right what I expected. That both the hp and MP can crit heal is nice.
My biggest disappointment so far however is king of beasts. The skill is almost worthless now. Sure it's almost spammable, but the low damage and HUGE mp cost in relation make it next to useless.

I seem to be getting hit harder in PvP BUT it's still not a big deal. Everything could hit me TWICE as hard (which they don't) and I still wouldn't die too often. This is just a testament to how OP tanks were before Lindvior and TBH we are still pretty OP.
BTW, to all you people that are "disappointed" with your new class, Hell Knight "blows." At least every other tank actually has a new skill that does something. Vamparism is a joke and the 2 headed Hyena that the devs call a "panther" is nothing more than a distraction. Oh well, I am sticking to my roots and hoping for improvements in the future :).
EDIT: I always thought King of Beast was pretty crappy and I hardly ever used it so no biggy.
