If you can't afford the $5 additional dollars per Avatar you should be a collector. Supply and demand drives the market... if you have something people want you can charge any price and when they pay it you can raise the price until you find the point where they stop giving you their money.
Because they like ******** on their customer, they say you paid for the others, now theyll make you pay extra for the last four. and the prize for collecting them all? an empty wallet and NCsoft saying thanks trololololol.
I was also disappointed to see that the last 4 Soul Avatar Agathions suddenly cost 5$ more than all the previous ones. There is no reason in the game mechanics why the orc and dark elf ones should cost more. The P.Atk and M.Atk boni they give are comparable to the boni of the other Avatars. So I must assume that prices were increased for the new avatars based on the expectation that the dark elves will be the most popular avatars and thus more people will buy them (even if they cost 5$ more than the previous ones), or because some people are collecting all avatars and since these loyal customers already have invested quite a bit of money, they certainly will also pay 20$ more to get the final 4. Either way, it's not a nice thing to do. To me this feels like an abusive rip-off to get exactly as much money from the playerbase as possible, with all means possible. In the long term, such actions will severaly damage the image of the company.

I imagine the increase in cost is due to the high amount of DD's on the servers. If you're a hardcore player, PvP or PvE, at attack boost is a must therefore NCWest is captializing on it.

Ok, so you believe they are capitalizing on something else. Still, they are taking advantage of a situation to create more money which is simply not fair. That's like if in the old days, they would have charged 50% more per month for an account with the right to create DDs on it O_o Or like making the most popular Hero Weapon, the most popular Emerald Appearance stone, etc. more expensive than the others.
Besides, there is only one energy recharging item with one price, no matter what Soul Avatar you use it on.... so here they are treated as equal. Why not in the initial price?
I guess we just have to accept that for an item with no production cost at all and unlimited availability, prices are completely arbitrary and in some cases, whichever price will create most income according to calculations (no matter how they were made) will be the price it's sold at. This includes changing existing prices at any time, when people hopefully won't notice/will swallow it, so more money can be harvested from those ****** customers...
I'm just saying, in the long run, with a lot of such things happening, it will finally damage the company's image.
And as a customer with a brain, I complain when I feel I'm being treated unfairly. If nobody does, they'll think that everything is just fine with the L2store price policy and that they can continue to make such rip-off offers.
Of course, there is also protest, to make the company feel the loss of income, and I could just say, they won't get another cent from me. But they wouldn't know for what reason.
(But yes, I had already bought one of the previous Soul Avatars for 799 NCoins and it was my plan to buy one of the Dark Elf Avatars as well, but when I saw that they costed 50% more for no reason I can understand, I decided not buy it).

Also i dont grow money on a tree , and 100$ for some cosmetic stuff in a video game is abit to much for my pocket..

If you have something that is in demand... you charge what you want. If the dummies pay what you have set you than increase the price until they slow down their consumption. Thus you get all the money you can for said item.
Their is no consumable sold to the populous fair... NONE. (example: bottled water cost more than gasoline)

A short time ago we were informed a mistake was made by an employee of NcSoft on the official forums concerning the avatars. Okay, mistakes happen, yet the mistake was addressed after many of your loyal customers purchased avatars at an inflated price.
Don't you think it would be a good business practice, to at least give credits in the amount of the price difference to those that purchased these avatars based on the error made by your employee's information.
I am not asking for a refund but a credit. And please do not send me a worthless cosmetic item and call it a credit.
