It seems I am going to be forced to level with my clan mates only. In light of that what will be my best solo options to hit 90. I am currently 86. I know i can change my class for up to 30 days. Should I go Spectral dancer untill i am close to my 30 days so i can take advantage of k85, tere, and randoms? What would you do?
In hind sight I should have never changed my iss until I was 95+ but... to late now.
I picked Domi and quickly changed to doomcry because I feared I would NEVER get invited into a group EVER! I would love to be domi again...even pre GoD they were welcome in a group (non clan). I think NCsoft is killing the off this class much like the Judic.
Yeah i agree with you. Domi is going to take dedication to level and a clan that works together a lot. If you are unable to make a full clan group for k85 and the like you will never be able to level in any reasonable time. Short of having someone powerlevel you that is in your clan your hopes of grouping with randoms are none. No one wants 2 iss's in a group when they can have a dd instead. My only hope is to hit 90 asap and find a good clan that groups alot for pvp/pve.
HOLA A TODOS
Una duda el iss dominator puede bufar a la gente de la ali o solo al clan
Domi's are what they been long ago. A clanbased buffer (tho once it was even ally). If some1 rly wanna go Domi Iss he has to be in a active clan.
Domis back when they could not buff group members were in the same position they are today. Hardly anyone wanted to play them because the amount of "average players" who can put a Constant/Set Party together is quite small. Casuals have too much going on in RL to have such a hardcore gaming schedule, generally speaking.
An Iss can Solo, but it's probably the slowest soloing class in the game right now due to their bad Crit Rate and Crit Damage. Maybe a Tank is slower? In any case, at lower levels there is an abundance of them which can make grouping a pain and even random 90- groups aren't intelligentn enough to get 1 hour buffs for instances that let you port in with buffs (like group Kartia) so good luck there. All the instances that wipe buffs on entry require a group buffer. Technically an Aeore can buff most non-Harmony/Sonata buffs but no group will XP like that...
In order to level consistently on a Dominator you want to start leveling up, you will need a DD to PL it. The same way a DD needs to box an Iss, enjoy boxing your Iss behind a DD. Summoner > Archer > Nuker (cause I think Archers can achieve similar XP rates in many places with less work) and you're good to go. I'd personally go for the Summoner as it's the most ezmode relaxed PvE class in the game right now.
Just sit your Domi there and let the Summoner kill. You might want to invest in at least the 30 day 100% XP runes and Vit Maintenance/Regen pots here and there too, since you'll be doing a lot of out-of-full-party XP.
If you can get a CP going, then you won't have an issue. But if you can't, being able to level yourself at a decent pace with your own DD is the best option.
A buffer that can only buff clan members has always been a dumb idea, and anyone who thinks it's okay to hamstrung players who like this flavor of iss just becaue it was like that literally 5+ years ago is either an idiot or needs to really think this through a bit.
Clan buffs are barely a benefit for this class because every group will want an Iss in Mass PvP for rebuffs due to cancel (getting chain without getting noble after a rez, as well), BR, debuffing group targets, etc... and in some cases being out of range of the dominator (i.e. don't have many, siege force split between castles, etc.). The CP Heals aren't all that great unless you're stacking Dominators, and healers can outperform them (PvP groups have two healers). The only reason to go Domi is either to have a more efficient boxed buffer (sonatas and most buffs without having to invite/dismiss, built-in skill OE to the Sonatas without having to spend adena on them - even at a very low level, etc.) or for the PvP skills they get, which is wholly independent of how their buffs work.
This is the case now as much as it was the case back when they were clan/ally buffers back in the day.
Both Orc Iss Subtypes are pretty bad in this update. Wish for changes, but don't expect much in the next year or so...
