It's been over a week now since Lindvior went live, and the New Chat Blocking to stop Chat and Mail RMT spam seems to be working. That leaves only 2 places for RMT spammers to advertise in game. In looking for Mammon today (June 7th) I found stores advertising RMT websites in the following locations. Rune (1), Goddard (1), Aden (8), Giran (4) and Gludio (2).
There were 2 advertising in the Party system as well (1 in Aden & 1 in Giran). One in Aden also was spamming in normal Chat.
NCWest should point out to the developers in Korea that the options in game for chat blocking are years behind what the newer games are offering. Similarly, with reporting suspected RMT deliveries, and the bots who supply their income. For something which is a priority with NCWest they have not made it easy for players to send in reports.
NCsoft has indicated in the article about a chat between NCWest and NCSoft's top L2 developer that more will be done.
L2 is not the game it was 5 years ago, and probably never will be. Those who loved the game before Goddess will never agree with those who loved the game after Goddess. They are two completely different games, but Lindvior has returned some of the pre-Goddess feel to L2.
So, which camp are you in? Goddess or pre-Goddess and is Lindvior a step in the right direction for you, or a step the wrong way? It's not like the Korean Developers have not already made up their minds based on the opinions of the players in Korea, but even too late, our opinions should be on record.
As 1 pre-Goddess player I like what Lindvior has done.
I like the basis of this update although there are many things i dislike. The crafting system is good with the exception it's unbalanced and not fair for new players. They should have created new gear and the new gear being only available via crafting and much better than current gears. This would have put everyone on equal grounds.
As far as complaining about rmt.. Im frustrated by it but usually complaining heavily about such things lead to rash and hasty changes that are in some cases gamebreaking like the auto dc if you say 3 lines of text consecutively.
How to you block the RMT ingame mail? some name are to hard and long to type not like pm/shout where you can click on the name and /block it. I hate not able to delete RMT mail unless you open the mail and then delete it. Wish there would be an spam block button/check mark I can use right away when an RMT email arrive.
The in-game petition stop work.
You need beg to a game master check bot in current petition system.
You beg 1,2,3,4,5...x times and game master don't do nothing. The bot still alive.
If they don't want stop bot, they don't want stop rmt.
There many reasons to think that the GM's are part of the black market ....

it is actually but not in ours. must have been missed.
It's in the more recent changes thread in the news section. It was mentioned days before the patch.
And it sucks because now you have to pay tax on stuff you buy from Merchant. Before you could just wait it out in a non-tax city and save some adena on i.e. R Gems.
Clearly they are desperate to get adena out of the in-game economy.
