Just wanna share my feelings about enchanting last month or so.
Trying to make moirai set +6 (successful)
- overall I spent around 1,5 bilion (I was lucky with 2 GEAS and made helmet and gauntlets +7, +8)
conclusion: if you are not mad, its not worth ( I like the set but the p.def is just low compared to R95+), S(80) armors seems to be more failing for me than R+
Trying to OE Specter Stormer (I bought 12 unidentified and all became bound)
- all failed going to +4 (even with 2 GEWR)
conclusion: if your luck is similar to mine, just spare the adena and buy your weapon from some player (AH)
apo bow failed +6 once. next made +5 1st try.
specter bow. failed +5 once, next try +5 and i stop :) maybe when i get some more adena i will try +7 or more ;)
what else.. +7 bless requiem caster 1st try w/ normal enchants.
was unlucky with duals on my iss, failed +4 4 or 5 times in a row :)
few +15 D grade weapons (was good for ssr chars :D )
failed idk, maybe 10 weapons of 30 or 40 what i tried OE.
Well some weapons just refuse to be enchanted idk what's reason for this. But if wep +4 fails sell it or trade. Im sure other wep will go up more smoothly.
Before Lindvior I made my Apo 2hnd sword +5 in one go. I also made 2x Kris to +12, breaking only 2 others at +7 and +5.
After Lindvior I tried to OE a Requiem Spear to +4 and 3 tries failed.
I also tried to OE using the +% stones from the mentor thing (D, B and A-grade) and also those failed on 1st try
I'm starting to think that the 66% chance of success has been lowered with Lindvior like the chance on a money drop has been as well as the actual money dropped.
It's so clear that NC is pushing players to the NCoin shop with this update to buy the 'convenient' items to increase the chance of success. But I'm afraid that they will fail in this and that a lot of players will just eBuy their items instead of turning to NCoin shop and try their luck there.
well finally ncsoft found a way to make people just rage quit the game
Update Lindvior day I finally was able to make my r99 bless duals with 2 r95 swords, I was collecting BEWR for a long time, after 34bewr the weapon barely got 2 times to +5 and 1 single time to +6 wich is the actual enchant, today tryed 5 destructions they all failed, so ye is pretty much a waste to enchant a weapon nowdays, i could have saved so much money from buying those nccoins cards to get bewr and adena from destructions but well i learned my lesson i guess this game is a waste of time and money

I play this game since late 2006, I've enjoy all the nonstop grinding, I have enchanted weapons during all this years, I've failed and I've made good enchants, I know there is a risk, but there is a HUGE diference in enchating now in lindviour than those old days enchanting drac bows, the rate its just ridiculous and nonsense even for warriors armors, there is no explanation for why would they do this after there is so many red weapons on server, now getting a simple +8 from +7 even using 12+ dewr is a really bad rate to go.

You ain't going anywhere, you've been here since 2006. Even if you do rage quit you will be back in a few weeks. On second thought, you should walk away and recharge your soul, this game takes a toll and you might be at your wits end. Send me all your gear and I will make sure you have stuff when you return... no charge.

Keep in mind that previously you had to create separate forum account and not many people did that.
It doesnt take a genius to figure out that NCsoft nerfed R grade enchanting rates so they could force players to purchase NCoin in order to get high OEd weapons.

Funny how a probally free 2 play newcomer from october 2011 tries to be smart about freetoplay players :D
