It would be really nice if there were a way to earn Chaos Essence in game without having to spend NCcoin. Maybe a quest, obtain a large number of items from different zones which can eventually be traded for Chaos Essence? Or a quest line with multiple parts? It shouldn't be very easy to get... but it should be obtainable...

Oh, c'mon, Nc$oft need to make money since game is FREE, so they put NCoins anywhere they can... Its like with those ****ed shirts/ncoin events/shadow epics in l2store/etc...
If the game is broken, NC broke it, not me. I did not create the item "Chaos Essence". NCSOFT created that item. If the ability to switch your awakened class ONCE through an IN GAME QUEST is game breaking, then how is the ability to purchase this item for USD unlimited times NOT game breaking? Are you seeing my point? If you think that my suggestion is game breaking, then you must think that the item Chaos Essence itself is game breaking. Do you care to clarify if this is correct, so I can tell if you are a conscious human being or just a troll?

"For free" meaning, not for USD $$$? Did you not see the part where I wrote "NOT EASILY OBTAINABLE, BUT OBTAINABLE?" I should have included ONE TIME QUEST but I didn't. So no, NOT as many times as you want, "WHENEVER WE CAN" ... that's how it is NOW. I swear some of you people who have thousands of posts on here are literally so bored, so lifeless, that all you can do is come to the forum and disagree with anything anyone says because you have no other excitement in your dull and empty lives.
If I dropped the cash, I could purchase 10 Chaos Essence right now and bank them all. When the item is removed from the shop, I will have 10 chances to switch my class to the strongest class at any time. New patch? Class is OP? Switching. If anything, your clever little post there has done nothing but support my suggestion of adding this item to a one time in game quest rather than able to be purchased unlimited times for USD.

You are implying that I suggested to add this item to some NPC somewhere for 0 adena where it can be obtained innumerable times for absolutely no cost. My point is exactly that, if you want to dominate other people with overpowered items, you must be prepared to use your real life money.
Chaos Essences were originally designed to let pre-Awakened players choose their own path after introducing changes that revolutionize the game, like the Stone of Destiny was at the beginning of GoD.
The fact both SoD and now the Chaos Essences are/were put into the Store, serves as cash milking for people willing to use their Visa cards. Oh, I know there are perfectly legit and innocuous usages for the Essences... But they fundamentally remain as an overpowered item.
In short: greed drives both the Store sales and your suggestion. You don't want to actually pay for an overpowered item. But hey, why do I bother responding to someone who's quick to call other people "trolls, bored, idiots, lonely creatures, lifeless" if they don't agree to his amazing suggestion?
