It'll be automatically sent out later today. You don't have to log in to claim it, it'll just show up on your account.

Why is it so important to the NCwest, that we use this new Account System?

When AION released I bought a Collector Edition, I did stop to play with it 1 week later and did return to Lineage II.
I won't play with another MMORPG for me the L2 is the first and last. So the option to play with upcoming NC games to me useless also.
I'm available to use the L2 Store without migrate the account, so it is another reason why it is useless.
What I won't be able to access it is the L2 Gallery. Also I won't get 400 NCoins as reward since I have 3 accounts to change it is -1200.
While I got a less protected Account as I have it now.
Fair or not fair, that's how it goes. As an oldtimer I should've felt entitled to some reward that new comers received when game turned F2P after me paying for it for so many years, and now it takes couple days to get to 85 while previously it took years and blahblah blahblah rant rant. No real loss ever occured, and world does not end for 400 ncoins now, too.
Yeah... making an email account these days is so very complex, you need to be a high school graduate. The new system obviously benefits the way NCsoft conducts business, why would they spend time developing the new accounting system if it wasn't more robust than the previous... new and improved enough to bribe everyone with $5 worth of virtual stuff. I made 8 accounts, my hand never once cramped up, the entire migration operation couldn't have took more than a few minutes.
Almost forgot to ask, how is this system less secure than a single log in for multiple accounts?
A new system to manage user's accounts and add features that help NCSoft make money... I just don't see the problem?

I've just tried to update my account and got caught in the infinite loop at the email verification stage:
I receive the email from NCsoft,
click the link contained in it,
and it brings me to the account log-in page;
once I enter the updated info it gets me back to the "verification pending" page:
"We have sent an email to the address shown below. To verify your email address and activate your NC Account, click on (or paste into your browser) the verification link in the email that you receive from NCSOFT."
So, it looks like it ignores the fact that I've clicked the links they sent, yet it now threatens me:
"you must verify your NC Account within 24 hours or your NC Account will be deleted."
I'm looking into this but I doubt I'll get an answer you'll like. I'll get back to you about it regardless.

However, when I tried to log into my newly verified account, it asked me to answer the security questions, and the questions were NOT those I've just answered before starting the whole procedure!

I concurr with your opinion, but i find that, if they are "promoting" the change with a nice bonus (not a large one, but not short enough to not be of use for casual playing), for an update that, somewhere along the line, it will be mandatory 100%, so why not take the chance and do the migration altogether.

Unfortunately there won't be any compensation to those that migrated before June 12th ultimately because it was a voluntary migration but as of June 12th players have been prompted to update when they log in and are not able to manage their account until they do. We are aware of the outright inconvenience that has caused and the NCoin is a way of saying thank you for going through the process.

As far as playing the game is concerned? No, you can still continue playing the game as is, no updating necessary. Only when you wish to make an account update or purchase NCoin will you be prompted to upgrade to a NC Account.
The saddest part of all this is the loss of our actual creation date... mine now displays Jun 12th, 2013.
This is being fixed and will be released at a later point. The original creation dates are still there in the back end.

Vali, it looks like your account management system is totally messed up.
When I tried to "migrate" my newly created account (all I needed was change from its old "login name" to the email address it was associated with) and went through all the stages, I got the wrong set of security questions in the end.
I contacted support, they reset my password and security questions (twice, so far) but all I got in the end was "There was a problem updating your account."
So now, I get quite an interesting situation:
I am still able to log in game using the old account name and the original password.
When I try to log in using email address and the old password, it says "Your account has not agreed to the LineageII terms of service".
When I try to log in using email address and the new password, it says "The password you have entered is incorrect".
At the same time, when I try to log into the account management page using the old account name and the original password, it still asks me to answer the same wrong set of security questions (the most idiotic ones).
When I try to log in using email address and the old password, it says it cannot be verified.
But when I try to log in using email address and the new password, it brings me back to the page that says "There was a problem updating your account." (though all the three account verification steps are shown as complete) ...and there is a button "Continue" in the bottom of the page, and it does nothing but opens the same page with the same message.
Update to day and got nothing in my account??:eek: is this only trick?

Why therapy? All I'm saying is that I won't be taking up the offer.

I`ve upgraded yesterday to a NC account, but my brother also plays l2 with his account, except we use a router, our initial accounts were created on different IPs, will he be eligible to receive the free NCoins once he updates his account?

From what I understand - you won't give any awards to players who really helped YOU and upgraded earlier(you, because the players don't get ANYTHING better with the new system) but you will give rewards to the ones who don't support you? Having in mind that the new system creates only troubles, I do believe I should get award too. I had conversation 4-5 e-mails to get my account fixed to be able to buy coins. Was this considered as some kind of "feature" of the new system? Maybe it was good that I got familiar with the support system because of problem?!
Quite strange decision.
But for sure in such case I won't do anything more that NCsoft ask me to. I'll simply wait for the award campaign to come.

- originally the master account system was laid out for multiple game accounts (you still get to select the account after log-in) and you should build on that instead. why not be allowed to have multiple accounts listed under the same email? (there is another advantage to this: if you ban a player you can ban him with all his accounts)

I'm assuming first come first serve. I migrated 4-5 days ago, saw the thread in News & Announcements yesterday, checked the accounts, all had them. If you read, you saw where they said they'll be doing 2 rounds of distributing the free coins....let's assume you're in round 2. Have some patience. Petition for free stuff? That's just crazy to me.

the old system has one more layer of security but once they find your master or the email of master there was np for hackers. i migrated not long after the system was implemented and never had any problems. i played l2 and aion just fine with same info and there wasnt one attempt to **** my account... not like there is something of value to steal or that my emails are public on the internet. you guys keep saying its not safe but your email address is even less safer, your facebook/twitter/whatever you use are not safer and you still use them every day. just dont sign up on every website or forum you see on the internet, especially with the same email and this is available for older accounts too because they arent safer either in this case.

yes. lets make example: you forgot maintain one of your added email accounts that you check lets say once a year at the most or never. many companies will delete your accounts after 6months to free up the name for a more active customer. lets say you lost one of those emails and try to set a new email to your account. you will not be able to because all mail is directed to the old one.

my account info is my secret. however if we where "friends" and i knew your email and was trying to **** you, i would be one step closer by knowing your email address.

your email address is often known to other people,your id however should be known only to you,it is so obviously not so secure. can keep the 400 nc coins,was hacked in another mmporg and will not reduce account security.

it also is proof of a database and every active email is considered a "real person" and makes the obvious stick out like a sore thumb.

1. You'll still be able to play the game. If you want to manage your account or buy NCoin then you'll have to upgrade to a NC Account.

you can still use existing coins in game and in galleria, you just cant add new coins without migrating.
No where in that agreement does it mention they will not modify the security level associated to players accounts or any words guaranteeing access to the L2 Galleria. What is in the agreement is this little statement:
You acknowledge that NCoin is digital material with no cash value, that no interest is paid or earned with respect to NCoin, that NCoin is not personal property, that the quantity of NCoin in Your Account may be increased or decreased by NCSOFT in its sole and absolute discretion for any reason or no reason whatsoever, that You have no right to a refund related to NCoin, that there is no right to transfer or exchange NCoin, and that NCSOFT may limit Your license to use NCoin with respect to any Item or Content or service or activity, as well as any time period related thereto. yep, thats why said that ALL previously migrated players should get 400 coins as well.
Unfortunately there won't be any compensation to those that migrated before June 12th ultimately because it was a voluntary migration but as of June 12th players have been prompted to update when they log in and are not able to manage their account until they do. We are aware of the outright inconvenience that has caused and the NCoin is a way of saying thank you for going through the process.

On July 12, 2012, the NC Account management system is implemented. From now on, any new accounts created will be of the NC Account system. The new account system is not a forceful change at this time: for months to come the NCsoft Master Account system and NC Account system will co-exist and players will have full access to their accounts and the game regardless of which system they use. Vali, i'm in direct contact with Account Support since 10 days already cuz my account went in loop at step 3 of migration, and after about 13-14 mails exchange they are still looking for a way to solve the problem.
Since in that situation i can't do anything with the account on the website, what would happens if they manage to fix after the 3rd of july? i'll get nothing because i missed the window, even if related to a problem with the website that is giving serious problem even to the staff to solve it?

this is correct and just another attempt from nc soft to "make believe" that players HAVE to migrate when they don't.

sparce? sace? those gm's are not moderators for a long time. most of the infos from them are from the FIRST migration attempt, we now are on the 4th. have you even tried to spend your coins?
i just spent ~2k today and i am not migrated. i boght 9th anni item for dances in webshop, still buy the 1 coin shirt scrolls and get the letter bags... no problems at all. to be honest i am starting to think that you have not even tried to spend your coins you have remaining. however if you did and cant then you really should put in a support ticket.

you really should put in a support ticket about the fact that you can not spend your coins in the webshop. do you have the same problems with the ingame shop or with galleria only?

Yeah I know...I've played since August of 2004...that's why I have an "old man" attitude with a lot of the whining and crying around here. I paid for 3 accounts for a long time and have never had any issues with anything. I appoligize for returning to a thread I wanted to now stay out of, but did at least want to let you know I'm not a new kid here. And all I was saying about the email addresses is I just plain don't see an issue creating new ones strictly for the game. I made 4 with no issues at all...migration was as smooth as it could've been...no issues since either. I could care less really about what NC wants us to do, I'm just saying to the general public that for some reason is scared to death, there really isn't anything death defying about it...it's really really really no big deal.

If I have 139 coins left and get the 400 bonus, will I be able to buy something that costs 160 coins and be left with the free 379(-139 of my old coins and -21 of the free added coins) or should I first buy things that add up to 139 so my free coins can be used. I'm essentially asking if I should get my coins to 0 balance before I can use the free ones, because with the things we've seen, that could easily be the case.

Seems like you should if you updated to a NC Account on June 12, was it after maintenance? Regardless, if you're having issues receiving your NCoin contact our Customer Support (https://lineage2.custhelp.com/app/ask/) and they'll be able to help you out.

Apparently there has been some miscommunication in the past few days and there won't be a distribution of free NCoin today. The original date of July 3rd is the date in which the free 400 NCoin will be distributed to those that update to a NC Account.
Thank you for contacting us in regards to the “Upgrade and Get Paid” promotion. As a part of this promotion, any players who upgrade their accounts from the NCSOFT master account system to the new NC Account management system from June 12th to July 3rd, 2013 will receive 400 Free NCoin to their accounts!
Due to the popularity of this exciting new promotion, we have been receiving a lot of questions. Below are answers to some of the more common questions that we have been receiving regarding “Upgrade and Get Paid”:
Q: I just upgraded my account, but I don’t yet see an update NCoin Balance.
A: The NCoin was not applied immediately after upgrading, however, our first batch of upgraders have already received their NCoin. Customers who upgraded their account between June 12th and early on June 19th have received the reward. This payment was very recently applied to accounts, so please double check your balance. For customers who upgrade after our initial list was pulled early on June 19th, the next payment will be after the weekly server maintenance on July 3rd.
Q: I upgraded on the 19th why haven’t been paid my 400 NCoin yet?
A: If you have upgraded your account on the 19th and haven’t been paid yet, this means you most likely upgraded your account after we had already pulled our first batch of people on that day. Your account will receive the 400 free NCoins on or around July 3rd, after the weekly server maintenance. If you find that you do not get your NCoin after the second batch of NCoin deposits on July 3rd, please let us know.

A: The “Upgrade and Get Paid” promotion is only for existing game accounts that upgrade to the new NC Account management system during the specified promo timeframe. Newly created accounts are not eligible for this promotion.
Q: I upgraded both Lineage II and Aion into the new NC system, or I have more than one Aion/Lineage II account, do I get more NCoin than just 400?
A: No. It is not game account based. Players with multiple Aion or Lineage II accounts will only be eligible for one 400 NCoin bonus, regardless of how many accounts they upgrade into the new system. The NCoin bonus will be applied to the first NC account upgraded.
