No, the appearance stone will only update to what you have equipped. Dual daggers = Japanese dual daggers.
Vali or Juji, an example: I have a pole c-grade weapon and use a Japanese stone appearance, change it in mammon for a mage blunt one hand and I would have a mage blunt with the appearance of a Japanese pole weapon?
Japanese Weapon Appearance Stone doesn't work with Specter Caster, at least in my case :/ .
Process of apperance change stucks without any result.

I can confirm that caster weapons are currently not working with the Japanese Weapon Appearance Stones and the Emerald Weapon Appearance Stones. Seems as if the properties for the new appearance stones are bugged for Retributer and Caster weapons. Requested a fix already.

You will lose the appearance since you are upgrading to a new weapon.
Is there a possibility to see Japanese fists appearance on a Orc Female Fighter model and Orc Male Mystic model? Cause on some characters they are smaller, on some bigger :)
