Dimensional Castle Siege Highlights and Feedback

As we head into the 3rd weekend of the Dimensional Castle Siege we wanted to take a moment and bring you some awesome highlights of the first two sieges.

First Dimensional Castle Siege - June 22nd

The first Dimensional Castle Siege held its share of surprises, I don't believe anyone saw coming. Most notably the alliance between the Renovatio (Nova) and SilentHorrors clans, who seemingly came to a non-aggression agreement prior to the siege, allowing them to focus on other clans and take the top two castles, Rune and Aden for themselves.

Not to be outdone on the maiden siege, MAX and Genocide clans conquered the hard-fought castles, Goddard and Giran respectively to complete the victors list of the first ever Dimensional Castle Siege.

Will we see clans merge into bigger, stronger clans? The Dimensional Castle Siege allows each participating clan to bring 200 of its strongest members and so far we've seen clans bring less than their full complement.

Giran and Goddard were NOT defended at all by its owners

Its reward is not worth it at all.

1st ncsoft take off 5 of the 9 castles, okay we are less servers, 10 clans figthing for 4 castles, looks okay, it will be fun.

Then, info page about dim gets updated and Goddard and Giran rewards were edited and dont give any usefull reward at all, so the big reward for the "battle of supremacy" is a box with a chance to get an Elcyumm. Thats it, the worst part is that you didnt even announced this before.

So the new content ultimate pvp endgame reward now is a "Black Anvil Guild's Dimensional Chest." where you maybe with some korean chance get an item that cost 150kk. This looks totally like an insult for for the clans and the player base contesting Giran and Goddard.

I would like to know the reasons behind this nonsense decision, does the people in charge of making this decisions even know the game? If you only wanted to give the "good" rewards to rune and aden, why wouldnt you just keep those 2 castles instead of adding 2 useless meaningless-rewards castles extra?

Either you take off giran and goddard as asediable castles and force all the 10 clans go for only aden/rune, or make the same reward for every one of the 4 castles, if this isnt fixed, Dimensional Castle Sieges will most probally be just death in 2 or 3 weeks because, there is no point for clans from shillen, bartz and magmeld to ever try to conquer Aden or Rune. Simple as that.

This post was made before the 2nd sieges, during the sieges, as I said, magmelds clans who were owners, didnt show up, shillen clans didnt show up, and bartz clans showed up because chronos "helped" them.

The 2nd clan from Naia, didnt show up, this means that of 10 clans that should have participated, only 4 participated, juji is not hard to notice that the sieges rewards are wrong.

Next week will be even worse, since will be only the 4 clan owners farming fame w.o any attackers.

If you dont believe me, go check the "attackers" list of clans registered on your last siege, is this really how you want your best feature to be?

Also merging clan? Juji do you understand that merging clans from same server means pretty much KILL the pvp/political situation entirely on the server? The 2 clans that suppose to represent each server are also the 2 best clans from those servers and is normal that they are in war with eachother fighting for stuff on their servers.

"l2" want to see pvp at rune/aden , they want to see MASS pvp . so for me reward and castle are ok , who arent ok are who have castle on live server.

Obviously not, and even if it was nobody here would want that. One top party from Warsmith/Genesis/LoK would destroy Nova/SH/DH/Geno or any other clan in a matter of seconds.

don't think so cause Koreans dont use 3rd party soft for pvp so they will find out the hard way how much that changes things if they would/could show up..

on the other hand sure let them come, maybe then Koreans understand the reality of western life better..

Sure scripts help a lot but when you got a party with +10 dark eternal sets, +16 dark amaranthine weapons and full set of blessed epics (including lindvior earring) you can wipe top parties of chronos/naia like they are elpies.

I saw picture of an archer with +23 Blessed bloody Bow :D Thats the most sick thing i saw around.

NCwest should ask a Ninja Patch right away from Korea to change the Rewards. So it will be also more interesting and worth to fight at Minor Castles like Giran & Goddard.

Reward: Major Castles (Aden, Rune)
Stage 1: Elcyum x 10
Stage 2: Eternal Enhancement Stone - PVP x 10
Stage 3: Eternal Enhancement Stone - PVP x 20 & Amaranthine Enhancement Stone - PVP x 1
Stage 4: Amaranthine Enhancement Stone - PVP x 2
Stage 5: Amaranthine Enhancement Stone - PVP x 3

Reward: Minor Castles (Giran, Goddard +others)
Stage 1: Elcyum x 5
Stage 2: Eternal Enhancement Stone - PVP x 5
Stage 3: Eternal Enhancement Stone - PVP x 10
Stage 4: Eternal Enhancement Stone - PVP x 20 (I Suggest to add here: Amaranthine Enhancement Stone - PVP x 1)
Stage 5: none (I Suggest to add here: Amaranthine Enhancement Stone - PVP x 2)

Reward for taking Aden & Rune is the abillity to take Rewards twice as fast.

Right now with the current System Minor Castles will never have any Access to Eternal/Amaranthine Enhancement Stones PvP. With the current System if only Aden and Rune can take them. It will make the Clans owning them even more powerfull in the near future. This also means the gap between them and any other Clans not owning Aden nor Rune will increase even more. This since the others will never have the abillity & supplies to keep up with these two Clans PvP gear wise. They will never be booted out of Rune and Aden ever, if they are the only ones who got access to put PvP on all there weapons/armors fast first.

There is no competition in the Reward System right now. The strongest get stronger and the poorest will never keep up and remain at the same level. The gap only increases more. In order to make PvP more interesting the poorest need to get access to certain supplies aswell. This in order for them to be able to gear themselves up too and stand a chance to fight Clans who are already geared up very good. If this will not change. Then I am afraid Mass PvP in the Dimensional Siege in USwest is only doomed to fail.

Mass PvP will only happen if newly started players and the slowely poorest players/clans will be able to keep up with the strongest in a slightly slower way ofcourse. Dimensional Siege has been build to promote Mass PvP. Like I said Aden and Rune get stronger when the rest will remain running around with same none-PvP Gear for months later to come.

This is just a thought I had. Hypothesis. Try to find the problem first then the solution. You need to make it eassier more interesting/worthwhile not harder and impossible. Do your math.

Another thought I had. Since Enchant Weapon of Destruction was introduced for over a year. Many Players were able to make top-grade weapons +15 or even more. Since they denied the Players the access of these Scrolls in this new update. The new Players or even the Players who are still trying to hit 99 will never have the chance or abillity to get these Scrolls and Gear up the way the older group of players did. Unable to beat Players with these Weapons. Now they removed the Scrolls from Hero Boxes and yet others can not compete since it is nearly impossible to make weapons +15 with normal echants. Let alone to craft weapons alot to try on them.

I am just asking to find a better way to promote Mass PvP again. At the moment it is not working at all. It is even working the other way around. Players telling other Players that it is not even worth to go to the Dimensional Siege. (Reward wise and Gear wise).

Mass PvP can only be promoted if all Players got access to certain items untill a certain level/degree. It needs to be more Player friendly. At the moment it is not nearly at all.

I do not even know how to explain NCsoft Employees our problems who never saw the in-game world themselves and how things really work ... sad story :(

So this is why less and less Players and Clans are showing up for the Dimensional Siege? Maybe they are Promoting Mass PvP. I do not know if you noticed, but in the end the Reward System (behind) to keep Players comming back to play is failing big time.

Yup you are right about this one. The other 6+ Clans together should help eachother and take Aden/Rune Castle. So they can fight eachother later about who can get 1 PvP weapon stone every month. GL on that I would say.

Yup let's attack and get 2-shotted by some Players with +15 Dark Amaranthine Weapons and 6+ Dark Eternal Gear. NP

People came, they saw and they failed to conquer. Surely they will not try again for these simple reasons. All Top Parties left Shillen/Bartz/Magmeld to Cronos/Naia with nearly all Top Gear. SO these three Servers are almost dried out of good gear. Everything is concentrated on Cronos. No Balance to even start a fair fight in crappy gear.

I am not Crying at all. I am just explaining how the majority of the Players feel about this. Most of them do not even bother to login and post their Feedback since NCsoft does not even know how to bugfix problems within 30 days. These Players already got the feeling they are talking against a wall. NCsoft answers are always the same lately. It will be fixed as soon as possible. You hear from us as soon as possible.

DIM SIEGE: No Gear Balance + No Reward Balance = R.I.P Mass PvP

still I like Bennies suggestion about improving the reward system cause it will mean more ppl to fight/harass during Dim Sieges and those holding Aden & Rune will get stuff much faster as well so why not ?

also a suggestion to Juji but really maybe ask Korea HQ if they want to bring over some their top parties to play the role of marauders and will be allowed to attack us ?

:/ That pov is pretty much annoying cuz the simple fact that show how "Top Parties" from this game need the use of 3rd program to be that "Top" I turned it off after first 2 mins cuz u can clearly see how the first 5 targets from martel are 5 healers in the inner tower of castle i mean C'mon he even target Anemelos that doesnt even show in the screen LOL

As to having an international war, apart from the time zone problem the main issue will be typing. Koreans can use Hangeul, Chinese and Roman, while we can only use Roman letters. In order for written communication to work for everyone we would probably need a Korean server/client combination, with translated NPC text on the website for the NCWest players. The different updates shouldn't be a problem. After all our characters also smoothly transitioned from Tauti to Lindvior :)

1) 70 people max per clan
2) all castle owners allowed to take part
3) 5 castles instead of 4
4) allow crp maybe to be gained...?? and clan wars would be nice!
