Hi to all! I have tank lvl 93 and i love this class but but I have a doubt :p
Is still a useful class ?
Since they decreased the aggression I noticed that I can not keep the raid on me. The mobs caught up with aggression after a while go away. Is normal or is it just me?
What is the use of the tank now?
I will continue to play it because I like it but I hope to do something for the aggression ;)
Thank you
I've noticed aggression doesn't always 100% land on RB's or instance mobs. This is something we're just going to have to used too.
As for the usefulness of the tank. I think it's still needed in a party. I currently use my tank for AOE purposes out in EG and for hating those uber Gainak mobs. For you, I think you'll be prefect for AOE tanking in fairies or in SH2 or 3 at your current level.
You still need a tank for party soli lvl 3 after that your better off with a tyrr in party doing the tanking, as for pvp the dmg a tank is getting from an archer/mage in lindvior its just ridiculous.:p
I don't know why you complain about tank losing aggro. The only Raids I lose aggro are Spicula Zero and Octavis after the new update (he always resets his target after every Medusa at stage 2, making Boxtavis a bit harder on the healer). And both of them aren't that problematic.
I never lose target on open field bosses (I am level 97) like the orc raids or Krogel, others die at Istina only if it spams Death Strike after it kills me.
Tank is still useful for his aggression skills in PvE.
For those who keep mentioning that tyrr can tank better... you can't even compare Ogre spirit with Shield Passive mastery.
The only place where tank lost its usefulness is in mass pvp where everyone has 2 healers/party (perma celestial/brilliant protection almost), and after the 40 seconds of party UD/Noble sacrifice on your healer, your role in party is 0 (everyone hits me only if I find their MA and if aggro lands, and IF it doesn't get reflected to me like it happens 2/3 of times from Yuls and Aeore).
