For years this game was fun and pvp was fun. Characters were all pretty well balanced and only minor differences could be seen making the difference between win and loss during a good pvp. This is no longer the case. It should be said that not all clans cheat badly and not all members of the top clans cheat badly but why these minor few stay in such cheat clans is beyone my comprehension. I know I dont want to be assoicated with cheats but think I have a better moral character.
I think everyone can see how minor differences have now become major. The minor changes before included maybe a +5 weapon compared to a +4 or a skill enchanted (old skills) to +12 versus someone else that may have only had +8 and since these had minor differences in skill stat and abilities the fight could still be close.
Now we see top clans that have major differences on most of the people in the clan- Where most people struggle to get a regular 1 sa 99 weapon many of the top clans probably with help from programs (exping, pvping, and botting) have blessed weapons all +6 or greater with 2 SA. This is not a minor difference in game play and the majority of the real players can not compete. Let us also think about these people having such good augments (hmm even with free augment removal the cost of augmenting 99 weapons is expensive and where do you think they got the money to try hundreds of life stones- they did not buy adena they went to thier own bot group and farmed it). These top clans then complain and wonder why no one will PVP with them. Stop using programs to farm billions of adena, stop using programs for targeting and pot spamming, and lets see how good you are in 2 years when people catch up some (assuming they dont quit because the game is so unbalanced).
Now of course we also see another unbalance that is going to occur in the game- the owners of castles in dimension siege- the top clans are going to get much stronger because now they can put pvp abilities on the armor and weapons where the average NON cheating person can not because it will take them years to save. The top clans can do it easily because many of the people in them have programs running on alt groups making tons of adena daily and no one sees anything being done by NC west to slow or stop it. Telling people not to buy adena does not help stop the people that are farming the adena for the purpose of pimping out the main toons.
Does NC West care? I would think they would. I doubt any of them want to see the game END. I would think the people that work at NC West want to keep working (if the game ends would they loose their job?)
I know I dont- I still enjoy playing and avoid the top clans because I know how badly they cheat or have cheated. I have tons of videos showing many of the cheats botting or afk in bot parties. It is funny how these top clans do not seem to care just like it appears NC west might not care. The break all kinds of NC rules using programs and using exploits and get away with it all the time. They make it difficult for others to enjoy the game by breaking the rules.
When I die to a top clan member I dont care that much because I know they did NOT earn the kill- they cheated.
This is like doomsday fanatics all over the world getting hyped because of y2k, 06, 21.12.12 etc etc. The game will be dead if an asteroid flies straight into NC HQ and whammo, everything evaporates.
It's the walking dead era. bot's are zombies,if you get bit (experience their advantages) you'll become a zombie (start botting your self to get ahead in the game)

I aaree. This game is horribly broken and dying by the day. When one or two clans can claim all the end game prizes and 95% of the heroes where does that leave the average player or clan that actually works hard to try to level/gear out their toons to pvp competitively at that point. There is no competitive pvp at the end game level. It is always one or two clans that literally control the server. Which would be fine if they actually used the intended game mechanics to get there but we all know that is not true. Go anywhere.....Harnaks, GoG, Pagans, upper eg....the list goes on and on. Even the greenest player can recognize the automated programs. Please do not tell me the GMs cannot. I am forced to conclude that it is purposeful ignoring on the GMs part that allows this travesty to continue, as one walk through all the places I named and more would be SO easy and they (GMS) would have to choose to either stick their heads in the sand or do something. Anyone want to take a guess which avenue they would choose?
L2 died years ago but its definite end came with free to bot GoD. It's a botting/RMT/scripting contest and it's sick to the core. There's a handful of players that still find L2 somewhat interesting and actually are having a bit of fun while the vast majority are addicts and failures from L2's golden days trying to finally win in a dead game by cheating. Let it rest in peace.

There's a handful of players that still find L2 somewhat interesting and actually are having a bit of fun while the vast majority are addicts and failures from L2's golden days trying to finally win in a dead game by cheating. If you look around, the guys who won in the "golden" years of L2 are still around with the same or different names.
A few of the winners left out of boredom or a want to have a much experience gameplay than sit in one spot and F1,F2,F1,F2.
A majority of the losers were the ones who left and play in private servers preaching about how C1-C5 were the "golden days" when in actuality it was only the golden days because there were enough bad players to fight (that actually fought) to make up for being smashed by the top players.
Nowadays there are even more bad players to fight, they just don't fight. They PvE ineffectively in their level 6 clan with 4 clan skills. Some of them cry on the forums about how bad GMs are and how the game is dying, etc. instead of using what bit of intelligence is embedded in their skulls and getting ahead by means of taking control of pve, playing the market, gathering other noobs and making them strong, etc and enjoying this dying game before they realize that they'd have more fulfilling and less stressful fun in real life or in another game.
To the OP. I'll be honest, I only read the first sentence. But no this game was actually more balanced at the start of GOD than it ever was in L2 history. In the years before then, classes were horribly unbalanced but they seemed balanced because everyone played the same few classes and boxed all other kinds of support. Your argument is just as silly as those 90s kids on youtube complaining about how "everything today sucks and how power-rangers was the best show ever" kind of nonsense.

oh well theres always been these that claim to be the "top players" which remained so since years ago cause they been botting for years. they are the first to hit max lvl in every new released update and than they claim it as everyone else on the server is noob and doesnt know how to effectly grind (pve) quick to max lvl. Take a look at Martelx who became First lv99 Char on NA...
he was being celebrated by Ncsoft themself.. go figure. instead of checking on these people reachin the max lvl soon.
they open drinks to celebrate the Hard working player who spends tons of money on l2store and plays 24 hours a day for multiple weeks.
IF your Legit, learn with them existing and be aware that you can never archieve much cause they will take it before you get to see it maybe years later.
all these players/chars exist for more than 4 years now and they have never been banned... go figure ...
and why legits stay at their side ? obvious cause these legits also want a piece of cake being Legit. so they support them in hopes to get some goodies :rolleyes:
