I'm also legacy here aliais, several friends who are also playing with lag. I'm from Brazil, and have never seen a lag this never happened, but some time to get to ca also get about 30 seconds of nowhere stopped, today I do spicula killing all the people, and there was not a Latino, of south america, and they had no lag, my internet this perfect, since it measures the speed of it. And not only that, to the site and the forum are slow to open, but other pages open very very fast, as the server gets out of Brazil, to open some sites outside Brazil, Europe, United States, only the lag is server and the web page of lineage 2.

You also need to look at your ISP (Internet service provider) to see if they are providing a fast enough connection speed from your router to NCs servers. I play in Europe and by your logic and the distance I couldnt ever play this game.
Usualy I got max 2s delay, now its like 5-15 :-P almost unplayable

I ping google from argentina and I got 19ms, I ping lineage and I got 700+ms so the issue is not the ISP.
The problems are in the routes in LA and Dallas.
It is not the ISP and its not bandwidth.
And IF ALMOST ALL LATIN AMERICA GOT THE PROBLEM that has to mean something ;)

The google server that you ping is also in Argentina so that comparisson is not valid.
Anyways, I'm from Argentina too and it's true that during the day, its absolutely unplayable. 20 to 30 seconds freezes, 3 to 4 seconds lag, disconnections, etc. Then during the night, and especially after 1 or 2 AM everything is fine. I'm doing most of the instancies at night due to this issue, but it's really a joke.
PS: even using WTFast and connecting to BR1 server (20ms of ping) it still lags, so the problem is higher (more to the north) than that.

come through this make a plea for all of NCsoft staff to review it after the last update there has been any change in the connection of the servers I and my friends are having the same problem seen above the staff and play on Shilen server for a year and a half and never had seen a lag of 25s - 30s ... 2 days ago I'm with the same lag. I'm open to discussion on my connection ... but already anticipating me say that game also other online games ... diablo 3 ... HoN ... WoW ... and always with low ping (40ms to 200ms maximum), then seek solutions to the problem as they thought it was only me and my friends. :(

All servers have this problem, all start last monday, i m from magmeld & at afternoon start the nightmare with superdelays at morning 0 lag/delays, i m from Spain & have contract with telefonica.
Pd: only have problems with l2, my pc/conection work excelent, (youtube,google,downloads,etcetc all without problems & very fast)

From Spain we are few players but we have same problem. at mornings 0 lags but at afternoon ....start the nightmare

No bro, im not pinging a sv in an argentinian IP range.
Answering the question, I used support, I sent a tracert report and asked me to use a 3rd party took to test routes.
Just tracing from sv to any latin american country will give same result.
Blame Obama! :p Let's guess it's the USA who organized the blocade of South American ISP's in order to force them to extradite Edward Snowden, or at least to disclose his IP. :D
From Chile, using BP with Florida or East Coast 1, i get ~160ms (a normal delay for me) with a 6MB connection (Telsur), so it might not be 100% NCSoft's fault, but rather a re-tunneling connection of some sorts. For comparison, i get ~220ms at WoT (worldoftanks), so i know that BP is at least working.
Although i do concede that before Lind, no one on my clan (Chile - Latin America) had any problems playing the game, but afterwards, and moreso the last week... something changed, that is for sure.
