Here's an idea. Whenever someone starts a new topic, before submit "kicks in" a small window should open "Did you try the search engine before opening a new topic?", before you finally confirm it :p
I am a guy who has many VIP sources with SK ( Southern Korea), and i will get your problem solved within a week, and all classes will be reverted from 4th to 3rd :)
I remember parties in Cruma in Prelude so bad you would quit the game if you were in one right now. Having to press your soulshots was just bad. Who's idea was that anyway?
Daggers 1 shotting people while wearing heavy armor? An entire chronicle of this.
Sure there are problems, but old L2 isn't synonymous with good. It was fun, but the people you played with, the people you fought are all gone. Just going back to C1-C4 isn't going to make the game fun. It will make it painstakingly clear that the old L2 was indeed made by the people who played it. As it is to this day.

yes.. i want it too sometimes.. when archers oneshot almost everyone, and all was happy. pvp 9v9 lasts for ~30 seconds. and ofc wizzards with 4x dmg mcrits.. that was AWESOME...

but that was fun :D stun stun stun gf. or like in c4 oly with sps. sleep cancel sleep cancel sleep cancel. surender to water, ice vortex, sleep, cancel 2 more nukes. gf i win.
The only good thing about the old L2, especially C1-Interlude was catacombs and the drop rates that follwed the logic of any normal RPG/MMORPG: the higher the level of a monster, better drops it gives. The things started going downhill after kamel with new grounds where lvl 80+ mobs dropped less than lvl 20 ones.
if pvp balance nowadays in l2 is extremely poor, old days of L2 it was extremely terrible, the worst of the worst that you could find in all MMOs was in L2.
Off course, L2 is a doomed game and its players live in the past, playing with their memories while the game slowly dies. Even Koreans hate L2 now.
Don't forget the mess buffs were: a DD couldn't party with nuker due to the incompatibility of the buffs each class needed. L2 was a huge mess when it comes to balance.
The buffs were not a mess, they were perfect. It required some knowledge about the game to have the perfect setup and skill to keep them up for all members (good guy prophets).
The difference between mage party's/archer party's/dagger party's was awesome, why the *** would you have close range DD's in the same group as 900 range mages?
Sure, some classes were 2 button mashers, but mass pvp was beast.
We are not playing "wow", so I won't even comment on your better drop statement rofl.
Some warriors had magical debuffs, namely SK, this char was a tank with potential on DPS with many magical skills. So you needed either dmg, magic or defense, while warriros only needed DPS buffs to fufil their role. This put some classes at extreme disavantage over others and warriors were alrdy powerful to begin with. And funny thing was most warriors could tank beter than SK in old days. So they proceeded to increase buff slots, make a bar for song/dances, make combo buffs, cause they realize how ridiculous it was. But it came with another problem, it made the game even more buff based than it was.

I was a little surprised they haven't launched a "classic" server just to see what would happen. I registered in 2004, I remember those days where Swords of Revolution was good business and vVv on Gustin server would roll in to the Giran Castle Sieges and screw up EA's attempts at ownership for the first time(s). We were spectators.
But that aside, someone else also said that the personalities that made those days are certainly not longer here en mass which I think is very accurate, some hold on to the old days (I do). Such as it is. Perhaps the new old days would work on a classic server I don't know. Still would have to deal with the bots...

Beside that Innova is not a "private server" , Innova players says "server is dead" , 'cause they cannot full a pt for instances (cp may help,lol) , player in NA says "server is dead" , 'cause there are bots everywhere. Also
In Innova they says "few bots , report and they're done" , "no lag at all" , "fast exp" , "you don't have delay when moving after click" , "active gms" , "but low population , hard to full a pt"
In NA they says "server crowded with bots" , "laaaag1!11!one!" , "30 days for do 97-98 wattaf****?" , "2 hours for move in aden" , "where are gms?!" , "you full your rooms pretty fast at main hours, easy to make instances"
Flip the coin and choose : Awesome gameplay but low population , or Worst gameplay evar but high population?
(I don't play on Innova , i'm from Naia , but the only things i keep hearing is people coplaining about NA servers and saying Innova is dead but a better place , i wonder which is the truth :rolleyes:)

Ah...a lil question for you from the moment that looks like you know everything : and what if Innova is "dead" 'cause only the "legits" can play and you don't see 500 bots per spot (varka/woa/ketra) like we do when doing dailies?
