Ok, on my Tyrr (duelist), I switch to my Apo pole when in Kartia during the waves of mobs portions. I use my eruption, then my other aoe skill (can't think of name..the only that is range when target is away), then I target a mob and wack between re-uses of my aoe skills. The single target dmg is noticeably less using the pole, than it is using my duals or my 2h sword. I use it because I was under the assumption that it hits multiple enemies. I never see this in my dmg text (which is on btw). How can I tell if it actually is hitting multiples? Or is hitting multiples the ability of a different class, and I've been mislead all this time thinking it was of some use? I appoligize if this is a stupid question, and thank you in advance for any replies / answers. :D
Turn on Screen dmg txt and you'll see the numbers flying.
Also the mobs must be infront of your swing angle, altho you can get visual bug on that and see them on ur back, either way the screen dmg text shows what you are hiting.
How can I tell if it actually is hitting multiples?...
if I'm not mistaken, by the times I had a DN - the polearm weap activates a passive skill when you equip it, stating you'r able to hit multiples enemies at once.
Generally, when you have tyrr+feoh/yul in party, you will notice all mobs in the wave will die at same time, +/- = its how I know "scale" how efficient the party I'm is, and if any DD are being lazy.
If the pole mastery isn't enchanted you should be hittind 4 targets at once. But kartia mobs aren't the best test subject, since they're relevently big as size and hard to pack in tight group if there isn't any nuker around. And ofc, 'cos you're duelist it's normal to make less dmg with pole, then with Dualswords.
Thanks for the replies....with all that being said, I only really use the pole in Kartias and SH parties....beyond that it's all duals. Is it worth even keeping the pole for these reasons? I mean, if I'm not even that effective, and my aoe skills are doing all the multi-mob damage anyways?
