On Shilen we have had a lot of people buying chaos essence (main class) from L2store and this has allowed them to take hero... by switching on last day an hour before Olympiad ends.
Is this as intended? Can we have an official word on this... as MANY were told in previous post from Juji that this is ment to reset the points back to 0

Why you think only ppl on Shillien do it ? It's the same all over the servers. The game is so true to the real life - if you can't get something done all by yourself, you pay for it. So you have to be happy that you play the most realistic MMORPG that's outhere ;)
Can ncsoft make something about it? It's one of the most non sense thing i see...lets go all change to strong class and after choose what hero we get...
chaos essence shouldnt be in the store in the first place, it had its purpose but i guess the found a way to get more money from players. probably will be there for a while because ppl buy this item monthly

I dont really see how this would be too bad.
Some classes within an Arch-type are significantly stronger than their counterparts.
A good example is SK. A player may not be able to win head to head against the top SK on a server but he can still play that class and beat the other tanks (HK/TK/Paly) then switch at the end of the month.
Pretty easy to see how this would work with some other classes as well.
The only up side is that a player who used this method to get hero will probably only have hero every other month because u can't use Chaos Essence when you are a hero.
Yeah it is kinda stupid , it should reset oly's points to 0 for give it a balance...in Naia they did this trick twice this month , a lol dagger from SH was going for hero Adventurer , but from the moment that his clan need to feed someone , they made a nice tactic :O
Hero TH left server so they was looking for a new lolhero to take his place , so they made a WR switch to TH , nice , you got the hero TH , but there is another problem now , a shared-account was also looking for hero status , but he was also TH from the moment that his scripts was not good enough , what to do? easy deal : GH class hero is about to get stolen by an enemy! buy the chaos and switch to GH , so you now stole GH & TH hero by doing such a trick , while hero WR is still owned by the shared-friends :p
It's basically just another (gaay) p2win function of olympiad.
Get use to it, it makes locking down all hero arch-types more difficult. I bet nc secretly likes it and will never fix it. Everything NCKorea has done in the last five years has been geared towards making hero status more obtainable by those outside of top clans; this is another nail in that coffin, so to speak.
TBH it ****** the dagger class based quiet a bit on Shilen, but as long as people know now that it can be done; one has to be more careful...
The question is for those daggers with 2nd & 3rd place, are they restricted from changing? Same as heroes are... this will be worth noting when keeping an eye on the competition. :rolleyes:
as long as Ncsoft is making money they are not going to change it. But people can waste money to change class for hero if they really want it that bad =]
