As you can see, the ncwest is out of control .. there are too many bot for just a *few* people.
But let met ask you this..
as you know, lineage 2 is a game, just like super mario or gta 4 or tera online.. the developers worked on those games so we can play with them.

Why do you play with a game what you dont enjoy?
You know, games are meant to be played thats why we call it games.. you know games.. when you sit down front of the computer and soon you realize its already tomorrow.
When you sit down with your friends for a card game, or you when you call Jacob .. hey come over and lets play on xbox 360.
I enjoy the game.. i like exp partys, boss partys, daily quests, or asking people for a dance.... because i play this game.. even if i dont have a +10 valakas necklace in my 4ss.
If you dont enjoy the game you should think about searching for an other game .. you know.. like the kids in the kindergarten...
If Timmy is bored on the swing then he will go play in the sand box.. how simple is that?

mmmm....good point and ofc i enjoy playing the game,and theres nothing you can do with all those bots,you ban one,another comes,the thing that really unbelivble,is that those bots "own" the market,if they open buy shop for stones,ot doesnt matter if they pay you 150k or 250k,you will sell because no else will buy it.
If you game using bot for level up your toon , or if you use ze for play...for what you play for? for boost your ego in real life? for show to the others that you're strong but without scripts you're like a fish out the water?
People make me laugh when they say (when they lose) "nice bot" or "nice scripts" , i'm sorry , so far i'm fully legit , i don't use scripts , as far as my hands wont be called "scripts" at least , and about bot , well , my toon have about 2 years in the server (since f2p) and i made lvl 99 the same day lindvior came in ncwest servers , nothing much to say i guess :)
But i guess what kind of fun have people to watch their toon moving alone , they just push a button and their toon play alones , you can even go sleep...mhà!

From my point of view, some people who used to occasionally loose in PvP now are doing things to win at any cost. Imo nobody likes to loose, so that's the outcome - they start using 3rd party software to automate gameplay in order to be more effective/productive in PvP.
I enjoy the game as it is, but for that I have to be in party of people who I am having fun with. Even if I loose against folks with the same gear as me, not a big deal - I'm a human being and I do make mistakes. 3rd party software users to automate gameplay and us, who play with hands took different paths, but we all aim for same goal - to win.
I almost ignored this thread because I thought it was just another bot qq thread...but the thought behind it is how I also feel. So many people just have to have something better than the next...I don't get it. RMT, botting, scamming, even NC coin....I just don't get it. I like the game for entertainment. If you die, so what? If your wep doesn't shine as much as the next guy's, so what? If the next guy does 300 more dmg per swing, is it really worth billions of adena? People just make me lol. Botting is the same....it's scumbag behavior that roots from spoiled babies that don't want to work for/earn what they get. You see it every day in RL, and you see it in games. Sad what the world has become.
Because some people are so competitive and don't want to invest the time it takes to get there. They'll pay anything to achieve it as quickly as possible. Some people just have to be at the top of the game, belittle the ones who play honestly.
People were cheating before GoD, just not much complaining because of the low population of players. Most of us ignored them or killed them so we could play that spot if we needed something there. most sieges then were dominated by scripters and ebayers as they are now

* Ppl who use cheats/bots/scripts/RMT ... are 0 ..i can say under 0 ...That's how they are in real life...all the time they need some1 help..they never can do something alone...they don't know to make something to eat,they don't know to make a coffee,they don't know to walk alone to school..etc etc...all the time they need somebody to do theyr work....and if happen to be alone..they're lost...these is the kind of ppl who suicide when they lost theyr job or when his gf/bf leave him/her...They yhink they are so good that they can rule the world..but even for that they need some1 to help them.
In game is same...look at all known scripters/cheaters/boters....what can they do alone without any help?

That's a lot of assumptions about people you don't really know. Some people would rather pay money to be at the end game content over spending time getting there. NC sort of became an enabler now anyways.
A lot of idiotic assumptions in this thread rather than directing it at the true root cause:
It is human nature to want to win, which in 99% of cases, results in anyone doing WHATEVER they must to remain competitive to that point. The only failure here was on NC's part. When you see a behavioral trait that needs to be addressed, you do it immediately, and thoroughly. That's all it really is. The large impact botting has had on their game is not specifically the one offs that most people are mentioning, anyone can level to 99, anyone can do a subclass to 99 in a reasonable amount of time for a MMO. They failed to act on the larger issues, people who are botting 7 man groups, who are running lowbie zones milking them for every penny, and lastly using human nature for quick profit vs long term stability. The Goddess of Destruction isn't about the destruction Aden & Elmore, it's about the destruction of what drives people to play an MMO: a team environment. Everything is solo, you truly are on your own.
There's a few clear cut differences:
someone who bots 1 char to 99/99 isn't ruining the game
someone who uses ** for Olympiad isn't ruining the game
someone who uses ** to accommodate for lack of skill isn't ruining the game (they can still be beat, even with perfect timing)
RMT'ing everything possible is ruining the game
destruction scrolls, pay to win shirts, etc is ruining the game
unlimited and extreme farming is ruining the game
When you run a business, it's your responsibility to remove obstacles or barriers for success. NC choose to overlook the game breaking barriers(intense farming, extreme RMT, pay2win) and focused on driving profitable share. At this point, they should endorse Paypal and go for the gold.
In the end, even people with the best possible gear/characters will lose interest, despite the fact they're using everything possible to their advantage. The reason: L2 has no sustainability.
I don't even know why people insist on analyzing this. Its pointless pondering and speculating. There are no permanent IP bans so until they do this which they will not, the bots etc will remain to keep on doing it. The game is old, the staff is bare bones. The support is not there. The monkeys answering the emails are most likely support for GW or something.

It just goes to show that L2 is just awesome pocket change for NCWest, nothing more. Those who invest (both from Galleria and RMT) in L2, are pretty much trapping themselves into a game that's, at this point, fairly meaningless.

Sometimes I think eff this maybe I should just go to the dark side and bot too seeing everyone else is playing it like that. Then I think no I won't sink that low or risk having my accounts banned with all the time and work I've put into them. It's not that important to me to be max levels and gear to have fun.

I think like this: "When I hit end game, then what? Am I going to spend all my time fighting like a kid with 30 year old man-children?"
It's a game, have fun with breaking away with reality.
