I just awaken to wynn sommuner today, I got new sommuns but I don't know if they are better than the old ones, it seems to me that cougar is pretty useless versus a wynn spectral lord, am I right? is cougar worth to use? when should I use my different sommuns in wich occasions?
I just use the new ones....another positive is when you use their magic, it only used regular beast shots for the skills...the old ones you need both shots
I don't thats why I'm asking, to know it better and dont do mistakes, its better to ask to do it well than to do crap. If you know this class just teach me then.
So Matk on the old reapers with blessed spirt shots for Pets, plus the summoner using a retributer with dual SA ( empower and acumen), and using wizard harmony is not better? Check the numbers
For aoe or for situation when is better use ranged summons use Soules, for single target Spectral Lord. Old summons ppl use very rarely.

Your right, however you cast faster? And the pet skills reset faster no? Also wizard helps make this better, on top of that the Matk reapers have is a lot more, new summons aoe skills are all physical, while reapers are magic base. :confused:I mean I am honestly asking here, not being smart or anything like that.

To the OP, there will be some debate as to style preference because Wynn Summoners are a very flexible class in PVE (e.g., they can use all 3 types of armor, any of the summons, and virtually any weapon, etc.), but most of the dyed-in-the-wool types are using one of the new Wynn summons (not the cougars or reapers), adding a 2 hand mage staff (because of the huge passive p.atk increase), and either robes or light armor.
That said, you have to figure out what works best for you. I could easily tell you that one Wynn summons is better than the other, but someone else will come along and swear by stats and other less objective data to argue the opposite.

Anything we say is subject for some know it all to come along and start arguing.....who cares really.......I have all 3, and for pve the difference is hardly noticeable. They all have a new nuke type, melee type, and tank type. I have light armor and a bow on all, and use warrior harmony. I've tried diff combos, and this one is in my opinion the best....note: I said "in my opinion" :p .......... I don't even waste skill slots with the old summons anymore, and only carry beast soulshots. Never have any complaints. The main diff I notice is the self servitor buff each type of summoner has for their summons.
