All I know is that the item I would like to get is 3500 Slushies in price. Id like many but say I would be happy with one. Each Slushie is 10 of each item. That is 40 * 3500 = 140.000 items. I am getting an average drop of 25 items / hour. That means I just need 5.600 hours of grinding for that specific item. That is just a bit over 233 days of 24/7 non stop grinding. I think I can do it, but you know the event will only last for 2 weeks so I guess I will just give up.
Orrrr...lest say I would buy the items. Cheapest Ive seen so far are 250k each item. That is 35 billion for the item I want. Maybe if I wait until prices drop...

I think that the requirements to craft 1 slush should be 1 of each item.
Some of the rewards are humanly impossible to get and that ice which drops like 20 times less than the rest, even if you decide to get it with Ncoins, you may need 35000 ice, that's insane.

Have they nerfed the drop rate? Last night I only did the SoS quest and got 18 of 2 ingredients and about 4 of both other ingredients (don't remember which). That makes about 18+18+4+4=44 ingredients in 20 min (no runes).
Maybe it depends on the level of mobs you are hunting, or they already nerfed the droprate, I remember this happened during an other event. All items dropped the first night, but since the second day, it barely dropped at all.
And prices are now terribly high.. Wait for one week, and the prices will drop bigtime, except for probably the rare ingredients.
But remember, during an event it has never been that anyone could easily take the top reward without spending very much effort/adena.
If it would be, everyone (not only bots) will be running around with longings, full epics, +++enchanted skills.
The thing I do most during most events is sell the farmed items and sell them, since I don't have very big luck on events :p.
And of course buy ingredients and sell them at higher prices if possible.
it's indirectly a promotion for buying the drop rune packs/prestige etc. but even then the drop rate is very low and the only ppl I see get something out of this are the ones running 30+ bots..
or those with big wallets cause a 14 day tauti for example costs $25 (not incl. the lol tax)

I was hunting out of prime time (rates are lower) and the post was supposed to have a bit of sarcastic humor.
I know NCSoft well enough to know I don't have to expect things easy, or at all from events, but at least other events let me play with luck and get some adenas from players. Shadow items just take that from me/us and that is what makes me sad with this event. I hope coming events wont be like this.

Parallelize your tasks. If you throw 233 b...accounts on that, you will get it in one day of pure playtime ;) Let's say you do not have enough computers at home, rent some servers from Amazon/Rackspace/Google or any cloud provider (many offer 30-day trials) and run from cloud. Let's say 1 week to set it all up and 1 week of gameplay - you get 7 of your requested items.
All you have to do is go where the bots are. There I had no prioblem getting lots of drops...yes the ic3 drops less but still enough to make a few hours worth while.
However with soooooo many thing not working in game and NC not fixing them who gives an duck

just to point it out... to get the lyn draco (even if you're donating) it would be 625 dollars.... and unless this mount can break castles doors or fly me around the server.... i don't think it's going to ever be worth that

Are you happy with this event ? maybe you are maybe your not please vote.
This event isn't even for bots. You'd need like 3 or 4 trains of bots to get even 1 temp boss jewel out of this lol. The drop rate for ICE is so low, and the cost to trade for items so high, that only going through the NStore will you get items. I really wish they would get it through their heads to leave events out of the store and just let people have some fun. There are plenty of other ways for them to make money.
TY for your reply all, we have 3 day's left on this pole so keep your votes coming in. I want the message to be loud and clear as I will use this in other MMO review websites whenever the L2 team is being interviewed by the MMO review site and how it's fans currently feel about the game.
First events were the best. Flames, first draco event, santa's cloak, etc... You could play without buy NCcoins these events, and make more funny this game. But, after some events this game is *****, and giving for NCcoins players a lot of rare items (boss jewels for example).
Once again thank you all for participating, keep them coming in as I will be capturing this pole for future reference when this game is being reviewed by other game reviewers.
A big thanks to all who voted. The results clearly show the event was and is a huge disappointment (scam) to L2 members. A clear indication that players are also not being listened to plain and simple.
I hope ncsoft can make events as they use to be e.g. pre god where the word FUN truly meant something. The reason why this event is also a disappointment is due to the items being limited upon use and also 1 of the item drops do not drop often and are sold on the L2 store. It would be nice if future events are never linked with the L2 store at all.
Everything seems to be automated now from what i see and there is really not much our 2 GM's can do in terms of pushing players Voice across to Korea and having this game the way it use to be.
The best thing about ncsoft lately is there Help Desk. Truly is good service.
This event is garbage whether you are legit or a bot.
The only thing good from this event is the immortal scroll and even if a person went 24/7 nonstop for 2 weeks they would not accumulate the amount of ice needed to craft 3500 slushies.
