It's with some much overdue joy that I share this information with you. In the last 2 weeks we've banned over 2,700 accounts for using bot programs to automate in-game actions. A major of the bans took place today. This includes farming hunting zones and Delusion Chamber entry. We're also looking into the Ceremony of Chaos; anyone found automating their entry into the CoC will be banned as well.
Beyond that, we've implemented backend countermeasures to keep people from coming back with new accounts. We're adding more resources to monitor more zones on a more pro-effective level which should increase the number of bans quite a bit.
But we're not stopping there. We will continue implementing better countermeasures, monitoring more vigilantly and overall improving the bot situation as time goes on.
The bot war is not over but this is a good step in the right direction.
As soon as i'll get ingame and check the most botted areas' (hard to choose, to be honest) current situation, i'll leave feedback here.

I was happy with this post as I did stop playing active,was tired of fighting bots for even boring dailies and good bots don't flag or nearly die so it big waste of time.
I log today went to GF and first I see less bots but when checking other places I see crowed places and for sure those where not really players.
You did ban bots but 2700 on 5 servers means nearly nothing :(
I check later this month again and hoping to see better results.

Although 2.700 Accounts combined from all the Servers is a joke considering you might have included the 700 Adena Spammers aswell from the last fourteen days. So you banned 400 Real Accounts per Server GJ! Atleast this is a start of a nice understanding to rebuild your thrust with your Legit Customers.
I also noticed the Banhammer struck down in only a handfull of EXP Zones and not in all of them. I think NCsoft got a reason to start small ...
By starting this Topic you try to scare the other 75% of the Bots away and giving them a chance to stop their programs right now? Atleast for the moment they will. I think you were shocked too see and noticed that nearly 75% of all the Communities in the Servers are using automated programs In-Game for anything (Farm/PvP hell even sign-in for COC automatically). So basically this thread is like a small warning. Big Brother is watching you? So you can keep your eyes closed for a small moment and let them turn Legit again in the next few weeks. So NCsoft can kinda safe and keep more customers rather then banning all of them at once? I do see it this way. I love you too! O.o
I was hoping the other EXP Zones will get hit very hard also. Please for the full 100% next time. TIP: Hellbound Zone ...

Any start is a start. This is a long process in which things need to be implemented one step at a time to make it efficient. You can't just go in guns blazing going all Oprah on the population "You get a ban...HE gets a ban..EVERYONE GETS A BAN!!!" lol
Anyways a good start is better than none and when you have official announcements we'll be waiting. Wouldn't want to spread unofficial rumors because then people will go "OMG you said this and that and now it's not happening!!"

2800 is 560 per servers. Let's say 600 roughly. That's a nice start. What are you going to do about the 600 x 5 characters ready to back up ? Are those characters heavily monitored right now ?

Every day we have less real people playing this game and guess what happens if you don't actually have real people really playing this game ?
Bann the bots that are running at moment is just the top of the iceberg.
What would make the players a bit happy and also make the real players come back to this game , is punish the chars that actually are strong now because used the illegal ways .
The players that are "rich" or "strong" in game , most of then own bot trains to make adena , used programs to xp the char and keep using to pvp .
If the "bann hammer" , actually reach THESE PLAYERS , i would come back to game , and i bet more people would .

The thing is the conversations over on the "program of choice" forums is they think this was a minor ban hammer. They also have several awakened back up toons they have to fill in for the lost accounts.
They ALSO feel that NC won't ban too many because it would crucify the economy of the game because of lack of items and adena flowing through players. There would be indeed less materials and items in the system,but after awhile it would balance out.
Some other choice comments include running bots in areas no one uses just to collect drops, xp they don't care about. Another remark is running tons of DE summoners in areas JUST to aggravate players, yes they literally said they do this especially in slow spawning areas. The bot gets killed it goes to town,gets buffs and goes back.
Yes the shot lag and other latency problems ARE related to the botters. When you have THAT many running it kills the server.
Only read a few posts, but it is way worst then we could have ever imagined.
Oh I've known about these forums and other places that discuss this. It is jaw dropping at first,but I've read this stuff and known people who have used this "program of choice" and others.
There's competition for the best scripts and it's a form of payment or income. You actually have to PAY to use that program which is even more pathetic on top of it.
People need to stop asking for IP bans. It's not a realistic request, and you will have so much collateral damage from it that it will do more harm that it will ever do good.

We shall see, things have to be investigated and monitored. Pinning certain players isn't how they determine a ban. People need to just calm down, this was just the foreplay ban.

just googled some forums too, suprisigly those are open forums for anyone to see. anyway it seems like some idiots believe they are the center of the economy and they worry about that... lol like they know anything. bots only sell overexpensive stuff to other bots and raise the inflation. legit players will gladly xp/farm if there were free spots. remove bots, replace them with legit players and there is the economy. bots only occupy areas so that legit players cant farm and stay poor. on top of that they flood the market with tons of adena, keeping the prices up and the drops so legit players cant afford ****. sadly the adena they sell is not deleted when they get banned but the goods they hold are banned and that was potential legit players drop/time invested.

Its so easy, try log by login account from each hero from all servers. If log and loading in this 3rd program, you can BAN too.
After all I've said, if you have difficult, i can draw for u.
95% from everyone that hit 99, got it because used z. R. A. N. G. E. R or others 3rd softwares, for your favor u can check the first 99 in server, remember that Shilen have a less than 1 year.
And in the last 6 months, the community of 99 level, of 5% increased severy to 85%. So HANDS TO WORK. U have a lot work to do. And one more time: GOOD LUCK!

do not pay attn to the idiots who cant give ya props for trying to do something good, yes there are still bots running around but as ya Said Vali...this is Stage 1 and I for one and looking forward to a clean server, maybe then the botters will stop supporting this game and the Real live player base will ( such as myself ). I took a break away cuz I couldn't get s hit done and now I come back today and see this lil bit of awesome news...My hat goes off to you guys for addressing the situation...my only hope now is ...all the major clans will get ban hammer so bad...they leave server and give real players chance to own castles they would not be able to have otherwise. He's just a good player, that's been around for a long time. I never once noticed him being automated outside of a Nostromo, so don't be so quick to judge. Regardless he's a good dude and doesn't deserve the backlash.

the majority of europeans use battleping or some sort of similar service to play since ncwest moved the "european" server to Texas. IP bans will ban half the server, if not more, since they all use the same ips

The only thing I'm afraid of is how even today, so many people are still completely clueless how basic networking technology, and the internet works. Your comment proves this point.
Do yourself a favor, and do a basic Google search on how Routers, Switches, and Dynamic IP's are/work, and if you feel advanced, look up Subnetting, and VPN's. Enlighten yourself, then you will understand why I said what I said.

Except that's not true at all. WTFast, Battleping and Lowerping will login with your IP, not the IP of the proxy server.

You can only get a green screen message if profile is changed (Razer devices). And that's for few seconds only. Where did you get that information from?

Givin xHronos or Graf as example would be the same but I dont think they are as known cheaters serverswide as you are. Anyway still cant forget the "congratz to 99 lvl" topic from ncsoft. They are just bunch of **** hypocrites.
And in the end, i can care less if 90% of my clan, or any clan on any server gets banned. Would be sad losing some of my friends too, but hey, you can still play legit and be safe. Of course the best choice for ncwest would be at this point just blocking access to servers if 3rd parts software is running. Because if they really ban them all, ncwest can just merge all into 1 server thats gonna be at half of its capacity max. You would be surprised how many random players use some kind of this stuff cause there was minimal risk doin so for years.

Farming for Levels and exping through 3rd party software is one thing , but Martel is so dependent on his script library that it's become blatant in his videos.
If Martel were to be banned , of course the adena trains would not stop. But you would have quite a few "top" players second guessing turning that Ranger program on while they have their main logged and perhaps scripted olympiad and scripted mass PvP would be less evident. And maybe...just maybe we could get back to the way Lineage 2 used to be. Yea we have always had bots but we have not always had players that have scripts that react inhumanely and make the games PvP the mindless script fest it is today. Just take a look at most of the older videos before Ranger became so popular. The biggest threat you had was a Auto Clicker which was not a big deal. Bots have and will always be a part of Lineage 2 but they also give Lineage 2 the unique culture it has today. Most of the old school players will agree bots have given people tons of good times and laughs over the years ( mostly the Chinese bots ) and we have learned to tolerate them. But we have never and never will learn to tolerate the use of third party software to the extent Martel uses it to.
The players of Lineage 2 know banning all bots will crumble the economy as well as the game. But they also know you can maintain a steady player base and bring back the majority of the players as well as new players if NC showed no tolerance for the blatant use of scripts and the blatant use of Ranger in videos such as Martel's.

disagree, i play like a machine and i m not one. martel did use bot to reach his lv and his gears, he use on his archer videos on youtube, everybody knows, everyone saw it.

also this type of threads in the forum about bans, force a smart botters shutting-down their afk groups for a while. Ncsoft should do these bans random, without say nothing.. Imo. banning their mains is KEY to stop them. about rmt hard to deal.. they just start accounts constantly.

Was expecting to hear this soon, its great new and I hope its really the first but not the last think you did against the bot users :-)
Cleaning up servers and merge Bartz, Magmeld and Shilen when at least half of the bots is gone sounds great to me, now its impossible because the numbers of players (logged chars) are not that low, however the number of real players we will see I hope in max one month if you will keep the good work (more ban hammers) and I bet the numbers of real players
--> Magmeld+Shilen+Bartz will be accurate for one server.
I also agree with Lucie.. and Martel that screen.. can't you see that people are only your 'friends' because:
1- You know a lot about scripting and 3rd party stuff
2- You move loads of money IG and OOG
3- You're a known person(not for the good reasons) and fame > decency

The mere fact that Martel is still not banned sends a very loud message to most of the players currently playing and the ones who are considering playing. Farming for Levels and exping through 3rd party software is one thing , but Martel is so dependent on his script library that it's become blatant in his videos.
If Martel were to be banned , of course the adena trains would not stop. But you would have quite a few "top" players second guessing turning that Ranger program on while they have their main logged and perhaps scripted olympiad and scripted mass PvP would be less evident. And maybe...just maybe we could get back to the way Lineage 2 used to be. Yea we have always had bots but we have not always had players that have scripts that react inhumanely and make the games PvP the mindless script fest it is today. Just take a look at most of the older videos before Ranger became so popular. The biggest threat you had was a Auto Clicker which was not a big deal. Bots have and will always be a part of Lineage 2 but they also give Lineage 2 the unique culture it has today. Most of the old school players will agree bots have given people tons of good times and laughs over the years ( mostly the Chinese bots ) and we have learned to tolerate them. But we have never and never will learn to tolerate the use of third party software to the extent Martel uses it to.
The players of Lineage 2 know banning all bots will crumble the economy as well as the game. But they also know you can maintain a steady player base and bring back the majority of the players as well as new players if NC showed no tolerance for the blatant use of scripts and the blatant use of Ranger in videos such as Martel's.

It's with some much overdue joy that I share this information with you. In the last 2 weeks we've banned over 2,700 accounts for using bot programs to automate in-game actions. A major of the bans took place today. This includes farming hunting zones and Delusion Chamber entry. We're also looking into the Ceremony of Chaos; anyone found automating their entry into the CoC will be banned as well.
Beyond that, we've implemented backend countermeasures to keep people from coming back with new accounts. We're adding more resources to monitor more zones on a more pro-effective level which should increase the number of bans quite a bit.
But we're not stopping there. We will continue implementing better countermeasures, monitoring more vigilantly and overall improving the bot situation as time goes on.
The bot war is not over but this is a good step in the right direction.

I log in to the game seeing many that i know for fact that use bot logged in (know for fact = they came to protect their bot train, made pvp miracles pushing 12 skill in 1 sec and so on) yet i just see the server lighter cause you just killed some pts but still seeing adena sellers shouting with price gone 20% up. So to my view you killed some random bots so to be able to come here and tell us WOW LOOK WE CARE FOR YOU COME BUY FROM US (= play in the spinning game) YET you leave intact what you should have actualy banned! So it's like i aim the gun, i push the trigger but its the bullets fault that someone got killed so lets get that bad bullet.
You really did nothing and instead of coming here and saying WE BANNED.... you should think that if after all this time you are investigating you only banned the low trains of the botters you are TOTALLY doing something wrong. You didnt even scratched them and you post an image of a GREAT BIG HAMMER what you actualy did is about {p} big.

personally i dont care about some long forgotten spots like those. we had bots all the time and as long they didnt bother me i didnt waste time with them.
now if you want to do you 5x-7x dailies, those arent many and are well known spots, you will find a gazillion summoners and spoilers.
want to do swamp or harnak at 8x? lol only if you manage to find a spot...
want to do fairy or stronghold quests? **** no spots...
want to do eg or farm items in pod or pagan? bots everywhere...

just googled some forums too, suprisigly those are open forums for anyone to see. anyway it seems like some idiots believe they are the center of the economy and they worry about that... lol like they know anything. bots only sell overexpensive stuff to other bots and raise the inflation. legit players will gladly xp/farm if there were free spots. remove bots, replace them with legit players and there is the economy. bots only occupy areas so that legit players cant farm and stay poor. on top of that they flood the market with tons of adena, keeping the prices up and the drops so legit players cant afford ****. sadly the adena they sell is not deleted when they get banned but the goods they hold are banned and that was potential legit players drop/time invested.

Martel is actually a really good guy and I've probably been his enemy longer than just about anyone he knows.
He's just a good player, that's been around for a long time. I never once noticed him being automated outside of a Nostromo, so don't be so quick to judge. Regardless he's a good dude and doesn't deserve the backlash.

But to be honest the bigger problem than bots are pvp scripts. You should really do something against it. You can see movies from quite well know person with prove of using program which name is not tolerated here. You can check his reactions during daily PvP and during Battle tournament.
The number of players using Z...r increases every day because at least 50 % of players in pvp clans are forced to use it because their enemies use it and person cannot compete with computer´s reaction.
And to be honest there are around 80+ % of players in PvP clans who use it.
as i see nc banned only those who log their toons for zaken/freya.. once or twice in week. and those who run 24/7 for $$$ not touched. at least like this is in naia.
gf full of bots. no empty spot even for daily quests..
why i say this? my friend got ban on his spoil what was logged on 3rd soft last time ~ half year ago. another friend got ban on tank also what was used just for zaken/freya once or twice per week. and you can count many example like this. and big trains of same clans.. still runing and noone cares around.

Lol, this has been a game feature for as long as I can recall. Party loot rights lock down the drops for short time to prevent scandalous non-party members from running up and snagging free stuff.

well. maybe that was just start. sooner or later all who was loged with net tower or other crap will be banned. but as i see now only small trains get hit. check gf, orbis3. hellfire n2 or s2. it's full of afk trains. owenrs of that trains.. well some from your clan, some from others.. but 90% of them owners is sh members. no offence. just facts. farming adena for dark/blood eternal sets? i counted you need ~100b or so to make that set so i don't want to imagine how much adena you need to make boss weapons 1st stage :)
and i don't talk about nornils cave or harnak where is imposible to find spot for xp or make q after spicula..
Thank you ncwest for taking these actions it has been long overdue. I have been playing l2 from 2004 and have hated seeing the cheaters of this game get away with it. Please ban the all owners of these bot trains and the players that afk xp to gain there levels mainly the heros that thru there xp log you can tell they was automated. Just 3 days ago I left the ncwest server for the on in eu even though that means losing my boss jewels and very good gear not to mention friends that I made over the years. Rerolling a toon on a somewhat clean server was the only option because of the bot situation. Please continue the good work to remove those scum and I for one will return. Also use your awesome gm powers to enchant that ban hammer to +16 glowing red! and smash them all. The good players of l2 will repair the damage the bots have cause thru their greed, and bring new life to this game. Thanks again!

But the other 3/4 of me may say : let's do some math , 2700 accounts , 5 servers , so it means about 540 accounts banned for server , which also mean , 540 less bots , ok?
But actually , just in Naia , about daily , we got 4500 players , right? ok so let's go for some random hypothesis : you got 3 boxes able to be logged, i guess there are about 1000 players active (since i'm in naia have been about 2 years , f2p time , and so far i kinda remember most of the names of players i've seen , did pt or etc , over and over in this 2 years) , making dual boxes , and we should be around 3000 players (active/afk/mentees/mentoring) , we still miss 1500 players , 500 are banned , so we still miss 1000 accounts , do you mind to tell us where are all the others 1000 players missing? easy deal :
Harnak 1-2-3 , Monastery of Silence mid/upper floors , Lair of Antharas , Dragon Valley , Guillottine fortress (open field but also in the upper tower on the back of the CH spawn) , Nornil garden (inside is full of bots) , Garden of Genesis , Wall of Argos , Varka Silenos , Imperial tomb , Orbis temple , Chamber of delusion , Bloody swampland (swamp and also altar side) , some others are running in seed of annhilation for farm elemental crystals , some others are in sel mahum , fairy settlment , seed of hellfire , even inside prison of darkness , outside the dark elf village
I guess that you can find more than 500 toons only in the zone i just said, beside that , i may also say that after 2 years of non-stop botting , they may have even 200 alt toons for replace the ones you may ban

Yes I've noticed more space in Naia now...but but just stupid bots are banned, lets call them trains. Smart ones with well done scripts are farming till the top...and they are just farmers. Owners making oe weapons and sets...as bots are just adena farmers. You ban them, they create new ones. You can make 5 ppl boting in cruma and get banned in a day, but in that day you also get around 200kk, will u care abour your farmers...no. Like some1 said 90% of bots in naia are SH...true. Others DH and randoms. SH are selling adena for real money, it's business for them. I remember fighting danceres and iceking over rb where they were bringing their toon boted trains. Gainak farmed by heros from dh, obviously on script :) no1 will touch them, while those ppl in server, there will be bots around
95% from everyone that hit 99, got it because used z. R. A. N. G. E. R or others 3rd softwares, for your favor u can check the first 99 in server, remember that Shilen have a less than 1 year.
And in the last 6 months, the community of 99 level, of 5% increased severy to 85%. So HANDS TO WORK. U have a lot work to do. And one more time: GOOD LUCK!

The bot situation, check our heros in sieges or daily pvp, the bots inside that zones like delusion chamber is not the main problem. This bans focus only on rmt. PvP bot / PvE bot is running fine.
Continue droping hammer every two months not every one year.
If 1% of the people that take the time to come to the forums to complain about bots, would take that time to write down the names of a couple of bot parties they see randomly every day, while they do dailies even, and send them to ncsoft, we would get this sort of good news more often.

you guys need to do some followup. I was running through VOS in Naia and there were literally 200 phantom summoner/warcryer bots obviously being levelled up to replace the banned trains. All on standard buff-up/walk to spot/kill mobs for 55 minutes/SOE and reteat scripts. In a couple of days they will start chocking WOA/Ketra etc. A week ago VOS was completely empty
The only way to stop the bot trains is to ban the owners, which are more than likely OP 99/99/80/80 toons that have been reported over and over. need to chop off the head of snakes to kill them fast. Look at the alts clan warehouse that they drop their mats into to gain access.
So after all comments and suggestions...what's missing ??? :rolleyes:

So Basically, Banning all the bots and preventing counter measures against them in future.

until there is only legitimate players on the server from what I can see if that ends up happening then all 5 servers should merge because then there might be enough people online to do any epic raids or anything, alot of people i see here complaining about bots, yes they are annoying and i hate when they ks my mobs but the thing is its probably where NCNA is getting majority of their NCoin sales from, people that bot. Because the people that say they are legit also say they dont buy ncoin either. I dont buy ncoin I want all the bots to be gone too, but there is no such thing as a clean server no matter what game you play, Cheaters always find a way around it. There is no stopping it. I would love to see a feature implemented on the server to stop bots. Oh Wait there is one, Its called Gameguard, and look that has been bypassed as well, So I see there is no way to stop bots.
I will come back to the game when it is more enjoyable but please dont let me come back to a empty server. I have a feeling once all the bots die, the servers will die and NC will lose money then they will shutdown L2 like they did CoH.

first off private servers = illegal, and they can do what ever they want with their server.
Reason: Anti-Bot Protection is Server Side.
On the other hand NCNA cant do that due to it violates the privacy act.
Reason: Anti-Bot protection is Client Side. / If they have to add it server side they need permission from NCKorea but probably they will decline and say stop QQ or contract canceled, then bye bye l2NA.

first, it has nothing to do with botters, its well know game mechanic all over the other territories too.
second, you are still a noob because you dont know how a tank works... you dont need any augment skill at all
third, there is no place called gainax and merchants are rare, you dont go to that place to make money... there are lvl 40-85 areas where you make a lot more money than any 85-99 area.
its actually quite easy, those mobs deal about 50k-100k damage on regular players and players do about 2k regular hits to these mobs.

what it does: first tank lure mobs, MOB HIT TANK FOR 200K DMG, the reflect aug+reflect skill hit mob for 100k dmg, the second tank lure mob, the same stuff happens, THE MOBS IS DEAD WITH 2 HITS.
if someone hit you more than you have hp reflects do 0 damage...
The only way to stop the bot trains is to ban the owners, which are more than likely OP 99/99/80/80 toons that have been reported over and over.

Your efforts might be a start but the situation is still ridiculous. A clan member was talking about red bots in MoS today (Magmeld) so I decided to check it out. I killed them and the ISS' that were rezzing them. And a few minutes later the hero Ghost Sentinel (Max) showed up to kill me. I decided to pm him and this is what he had to say:
This is not meant as an accustation nor does this prove anything. It's merely a suggestion to check MoS daily and just ban them all (accounts or IP's). What you do with the guys protecting them is up to you, but just letting them bot freely with more than 20 wynns is just ridiculous.

The bot war is not over but this is a good step in the right direction.

If you read you'll see this is a small ban hammer. More measures to stop cheating is coming soon. Asking about this person or that area isn't the focus here. It's the problem as a whole.

there might have been some banned,but it is known that botters have toons in reserve to fill in for the ones they lose. You most likely won't see those trains completely eradicated.

How do you prove that is the case ?
If the MA is in your party and you right click their name you will assist them.
If you create a macro to target someMA and use /assist you will also assist them.
It seems both of these suggestions seem very very hard to prove.
And this is reason why top clans play siege setup.
2-4 pts on shared script to pick up targets and do mass instant assist.
While rest clan is meat shield until 30 sec have passed core did its job.
So no more any tactics , script + meat shield = win
Unless you can figure out in 30 secs who is their MA to kill it so rest loose MA and become sheep.

While I'm in town/peace zone, its ok; but at time I step out to do any action out of town, puff, lag hits hard! And like @socketta said, I see no changes in places like Nornils Cave/GF/SH2 regarding bot trains, since these places are full 24/7 with furious farmers. And also in Bartz we can find the same automated horde of DE Wynns taking their periodic buff round at Rune Town, religiously.

You may close your costumer/publisher (NCSoft client/publisher) who can not manage your game properly. For example south east asia server. They can not handle bot and local RMT activity. Though this issue is not your responsibility but you can continue this matter to NCsoft central. You should make audit your publisher server. Thank you

you have to understand this... in short, its close to impossible.
why do i say this? first, those softwares these scripters use work with the data stream that is going back and forth to the server, right? if they do their job perfectly and they probably do, there shouldnt be any difference from the actions of a real game client response.
second, its impossible to know what software is running on the gamers pc unless you scan their pc and thats probably illegal without permission.
third, from what i can deduce... ncsoft only ban by analyzing logs and they search for patterns and such.
so with all that said, unless you find something fishy in those logs like idiots who sign coc 0.00001 sec after the message or idk what others bad scripts are there, there is no evidence to bring up that some 3rd party software was used. in fact i think pros even divide their 'jobs' on different players from the same party so that its less visible on single players logs.
well this is my theory and can be wrong because i dont have experience with these softwares, only what i can deduce from reading this forums... but i think ppl will be very disappointing because imo they cant ban scripters or the good ones, only if ncsoft change their poor network programming.

second, you are still a noob because you dont know how a tank works... you dont need any augment skill at all
third, there is no place called gainax and merchants are rare, you dont go to that place to make money... there are lvl 40-85 areas where you make a lot more money than any 85-99 area.
its actually quite easy, those mobs deal about 50k-100k damage on regular players and players do about 2k regular hits to these mobs.

+1 ... confirmed that all NC did was to ban some RMT spammers and some noob bots while the veteran still owning all spots..maybe take a look how bots farm AQ and at theyr owners..or go str2..1st spot bots there long long time before..or GF..near roderik npc all over...at last down you can't find an empty spot..or PoD ...how many 2-3 trains..and 1 free canon.

Yes I believe cuz he's a kind of guy that loves show their "great deeds" and I was in their clan when the char was banned. If he's telling that have the char again I dont have any doubt it's true. He always bought exp runes for their bots cuz he says: "if you did a nice donate, you will never banned" and he's completely true, afterall he have a char banned and NCSoft gave him back.

scroll to 4:12 or 4:13, same image but without the extra borders or fps count. i can say it could have been a real ss coz ss take fps count and borders and such but fraps can ignore things that are added after, like fps count, your melody that you are listening now and displayed on screen over the game, basically any additional directx layers. can also be someone bored enough to photoshop the entire thing so... cant be proof.

Also this screen was taken roughly 3 seconds after the end of the match shown on the video juding by the skill re use difference. It may be genuine, as it couldn't :>
Funnily, the Windows Media Player icon for Lineage II game was also there on some old screens from martel posted on Guru. The site isn't anymore sadly :P
I just don't understand one thing and I hope someone can explain it to me.
I have read few opinions about when ncsoft will ban all boters there will be not enough players and they will have to marge servers, some of you said that there will be not enough players to do raids and dailies or instances.
Just explain to me since when you are playing with boters, because for me a number of players I can interact won't change and only thing that is gonna be different is that there will be more space for legit players.
As if it is for NCsoft its good work and we can see a results of your actions already and also can see more places where your intervention will be required especially that farmers are not sleeping and they have started lots of new young trains already.
If you need extra pair of hands I'm offering mine for free and I think that many other players would do the same. If only we know that our bot reporting wold be review and not just go to the bin we can give you another 3000 bots on the plate.

You can see that martel is still targeting him (yellow indicator under oponent legs ) and that new window shows current target nick and his cp/hp/mp and he's not an idiot to miss something like showing any widget on fraps ( GET REAL LOL ) and fraps doesn't capture anything else beside game client :) not mentioning ridiculous distance and height xD

not really. he is saying fraps doesnt capture anything else besides the game content (which i already said it before) but he doesnt see the fps count of fraps in right top corner, and the border and the desktop... which means this is not taken by fraps, its a screenshot and a ss take everything. idk what those numbers means but he might have experience with that... and might be right about that window numbers.

my friend the one that was using the 3rd party program was agno not martel, as u can see he was watching the video with the program on top...

Well, NCEast is a subsidiary of NC Korea, the announce "new antibot" tool don't exist in korean servers. Whe don't have any reason to believe in NC East exclusive new antirobot tool.

Don't get me wrong but I guess you are not familiar with the responsibility of being a GM and having authority on your hand.It's not as easy as it may seem.I am happy with the work being done and let's not forget that it's not an easy task for support to handle - they have to deal with hundreds (multiplied by their bots accounts) of cheaters.
For a F2P game the support for me has been superb so far.Honestly.And while being only a month here I am seriously thinking of supporting the game. :cool:
If that hammer looks anything like these, I believe several drops would make a situation better in less than a week! ;)
Note that ban hammer might have some disasterous consequences and cause many "people" to commit a suicide as they are attached to this virtual reality they couldn't exist without :D especially ones who buy items in online forums (e. g. from figga, who offers them for $$ openly), good luck for them!
you forgot to check HellBound which has like 4 top spots (Green Spot/Chimera's spot/Citadel 1 & 2 and Anomic Foundry) as well and Vally of Saints etc.
Well you really don't need to count bots to be honest. You can see when NCSoft make protocol change by the amount of people disappearing from servers. Check some forums the date people whine some programs ain't working the population of Naia and Chronos drop from 5.6/5k to 3.3/2.9k (if i remember well) :cool:. Simple subtraction can give you the number of bots. So good news there is more than 50% live population!
I haven't posted in this thread yet so I'd like to thank NCsoft for effort. As a reward they receive some more bot reports from locations I walk through :D
I was wondering how many # accounts got banned this time for using bot programs to automate in-game actions before last maintenance. A major of the bans took place on the 10th and 11th of September. Bans took place in EXP zones such as Guillotine Fortress again.
Alot of QQ in Bartz, Naia and Cronos atm ... so much love and hate. haha
