Is it really significant change now? I remember math for heals and MATK changed couple times over time, it used to be affected by MATK in one era and next chronicle healers were sufficient with Mysterious Sword/Acumen because difference was really couple tens of HP healed.
Higher MATK helps debuff landing though, keep that in mind too.
Really, really, it doesnt have that such huge impact. A healer will heal almost the same amount with a low weap (a bit less, smtg not even considerable, since its skills are spammable), over other healer using a r99 weapon - and taking into account the ultimate heal skill for pve is based on %, not power. Btw, the land succes on debuffs will matter.
The difference between mysterious sword and specter buster is approx 30 %. If it is not much for you, it is much for me.
I dont know from where did you find those numbers %, but ok. Anyway, this % only will work with:
> panic heal: not a first choice from a wise healer, since its like its name aleady says: for panic situations;
> radiant heal: low casting, target will be dead before you finish the 2nd casting, worthless, unless you have maxed WIT/casting speed and r a LE ES Aeore;
> brilliant heal: I call this skill the heal for ranged DD, cause you can heal them without changing targets - another heal rarely used if you r partying with pro ranged DDs. This skills would be a better use for Aeore Cardinals, that can max their potential with their particular buff;
And for last, any healer besides Cardinal than spend too much time throwing PH, BH or are mad enough to cast even RH instead of willing basically on Progressive Heal for PvE, just need either a) leave your current party setup or b) reroll.
note: iNoisia's test showed a huge impact, y, but common, I thought were talkign about S grade+ weapons :p (C is too low, even for a poor healer bot, lol)
...
For PvE healer actually doesnt need any weapon. In most cases you should be ok with balance life and chain heal. For PvE low C grade acu weapon is sufficient choice. Shots are cheap and you dont need to use non % heals.
For PvP grade of weapon plays important role. And in this case the higher grade the better. Of course as iNoisia already said difference between apo and specter and specter and ama (generaly between two adjacent grades) are probably neglectable.

How do you cope with current Progressive heal cost? I have only ~17k MP buffed (22k with Mana Up weapon), spamming Progressive heal combined with Brilliant Recharges and individual recharges it can deplete my MP in half the time into Rebirth.

Well even if i'm 99 and Shillien Saint atm and i play without mana up i don't remember when i had problem with mana (before Lindvior and after Lindvior update). If i don't count 12 min pvp in Kamael Village.
What is your class? Do you have enchanted your skills and passive skills?

And enchanting Progressive Heal to +5 cost leads to only 81 MP less... >_>'
The Saint healers have this amazing buff called Superior Mana Gain that allows for more recharging power.
By the way, on certain PvE situations I can cope with the cost by literally spamming Balance Heal and using only robe armor, I can keep my whole party (and myself) constantly full. Obviously, situations that allow for robe usage are rare, but nevertheless, it works...

Stop overhealing.
And yes, you are. The fact that you refer to progressive heal as "spamming", tells me you are using it too often, probably when ppl haven suffered enough dmg to warrant the need of it.
Progressive should only be used when dds have taken a huge chunk of dmg, missing at least close to 30% hp. Not for when everyone near the tank is missing 10%
If you are still having trouble adjusting, get mp elixirs (the cheap ones, u get the recs from doing tere/spez/etc) and a conversion weapon. Equip conversion, pop elixir for 2.5k mp, and switch back to your regular weapon. This can be done every 2 minutes.
If you can still run out of mp after that, I dont really think healer is for you, I've noticed alot of Tyrrs just spam skills by smashing their entire hand into the keyboard, instead of learning what their skills do. Could try that :D

Well I'm noob healer on dual but I've ran out of MP twice - both times on 85 when I still didn't really have a grasp on the class. And without robe and mana up weapon to add so...

No, I do not think I am not overhealing. I use Progressive heal when % heal is needed. I prefer Mana Up instead of Conversion (I may reconsider) and I do all the stuff described above. I was reacting to statement above that I should not be using any other than Progressive heal and I disagree with it. It's a question of using tools I have at my disposal. I do not have Aeore Cardinal skill but If I need higher amount of heal from Panic/Brilliant/Radiant, I use Sustain. I normally do not have problem with mana, this was just an experiment. Only place I happen to run out of mana is Extreme Freya when Eternal Blizzard lands.
No and no. Apparently you assume something and that's dangerous because you make conclusions about people based on assumptions only. No wonder everyone is n00b and subpar in your eyes then. Read what I post, spamming = using all the time even if not needed, not moderate use.
Always depends on situation. With my party i never have problem with mana but with randoms it can be very different. So argue about this is stupid. Craw - as i know from here and from my forum also - is smart person so i'm sure she is smart enough to heal.
does weapon affects heal amount on healer? for example sword of miracle vs amaranthine buster.
or does matk affect heal amount?
ty
Heal Power/Amount is affected by the weapons base M.Atk.
M.Atk boost spells in General does not affect Heal Power/Amount. M.Atk in General only boosts M.Atk strenght of spells (Dark Blast) and succes rate of spells (Dark Force). Buffs or NO Buffs. Your Heal Power/Amount remains the same at any Level. Empower/Wizard Harmony any other Buff does not increase the Heal Power/Amount. It's the base M.Atk from any weapon while equipped which makes the difference. Only (non-M.Atk incr. buffs like) Prayer/Divine Prayer and certain Epics Heal amount received which changes this.
2H Retributers heal more then 1H Busters/Casters. Around 150-300 more per spam depending on what grade. With R99 difference is alot more then lower R 2H>1H.
Healers with +16 Dual Sword S-grade Heal alot less then Healers using R99 Busters.
Using Panic Heal 2k with Dual Swords S-grade or Panic Heal 4k with R99 Buster. It makes a hell alot of a difference. Especially in PvP.
Enchanting Panic Heal +10 Cost will be OP aswell. Fully Buffed it will cost you like 36 MP every time you cast it. All mine Aeore Healers skills are +10 so I know the difference. It makes a hell alot of difference even on Brilliant Recharge. At +0 it will only cost you MP and at +10 it will give you alot more in return. Even more with Mana Gain buff active from ES and SE. When enchanting Brilliant Recharge +10 Cost it will not only decrease it's Mana Consumption per use. It will also increase it's MP Power/Amount value. So you will receive more MP from it when it has a higher enchantment level.
Enchanting Panic Heal +10 Cost will not only decrease it's Mana Consumption per use. It will also increase it's Heal Power/Amount value. Nearly the same amount which increases when learning Panic Heal skill in general from 85-99 Level. While enchanting it from +1 to +10.
Making a R99 1H Weapon +15 will make alot more Difference since the weapons base M.Atk will also increase.
(Antharas/Lindvior/Valakas) Buster/Caster upgraded will be OP for Healers Panic Heals/Group Heals. They will have insane High Heals per spam. Dual Swords need to spam 3 times > where they just spam for same amount of Panic Heal only 1 time.
Brilliant Recharge +0; 4180 MP Consumption
Instantly recovers party members' MP with a maximum of 750 Power depending on their level. Also, for 10 seconds, recovers 55 MP per second.
Brilliant Recharge +10 Cost; 1660 MP Consumption
Instantly recovers party members' MP with a maximum of 860 Power depending on their level. Also, for 10 seconds, recovers 55 MP per second. Enchant Cost: Decreases MP Consumption.
91 Lv. 700 Power > 99 Lv. 750 Power +50 Power (91-99 by basic learning levels)
99 Lv. 860 Power (+10 Cost) additional +110 Power (1-10 by enchantment route)
Panic Heal +0; 230 MP Consumption
Heals the target with 1570 Power added to M. Atk. If HP is full, CP is restored.
Panic Heal +10 Cost; 91 MP Consumption
Heals the target with 1684 Power added to M. Atk. If HP is full, CP is restored. Enchant Cost: Decreases MP Consumption.
85 Lv. 1488 Power > 98 Lv. 1570 Power +82 Power (85-98 by basic learning levels)
98 Lv. 1684 Power (+10 Cost) additional +114 Power (1-10 by enchantment route)
So basically when enchanting your Aeore Healers skills from +1 to +10 you will increase more in power then the power you have sofar received by basic learning levels all combined (85-99).

Bolded and underlined it since you seem to not see how you yourself imply overhealing.
So we are getting to the point of statement I disagree with:
And for last, any healer besides Cardinal than spend too much time throwing PH, BH or are mad enough to cast even RH instead of willing basically on Progressive Heal for PvE, just need either a) leave your current party setup or b) reroll.
Then is it spamming or is it not then if I should use it all the time instead of other forms of heals? :confused:
