This is not a moan or a complaint of any sort.Just an opinion.Everyday I take Kartia 85 solo Quest.But...
- The quest mobs do not provide any exp
- The NPC party is so lazy :p
- The Life Plunderer, a hit-me-forever thing
- No drops from Zellaka ever (to my experience)
To my eyes, this is a repetitive, quite long in duration and without the slightly challenge event that is so boring and becomes even more day by day.I just hope the dev team could spice it up a bit.Party version is quite a different story and highly depends on party's efficiency - a good party will have fun while a mediocre one may spent a lot of time and effort.
They could add some exp on mobs killed, reduce the stages to get to the boss, add some minor chance of boss droping something, etc
This was initialy a lazy method of boosting xp for more casual players, at begining it was more of a challenge coz it was epic bugged making it much harder...on a tank is soooooo boring and healer.
Anything that you have to do over and over again everyday which never changes is the most boring daily ever.
Kartia 85 just happens to be one of the least rewarding dailies that lasts much longer than it has any right to.
I used to do it every day on both my main and sub (90 on main, 85 on sub) then one day I decided that it wasn't providing enough entertainment value and stopped doing it entirely. Of course I also stopped doing any grinding on my main or dual class sub and have just been focusing on normal subs because the lower level content is much more fun becuase the mobs fewer hits to kill and yield a positive instead of negative revenue (profit-cost).

Well the party dailies are somewhat interesting because of the random parties (random fun or sorrow :D) hence the slight variation of them.Even the bloody swampland quest seems a lot more interesting than Kartia.

That's because in swamps you move around a lot more so you can vary your route a little bit each day thus rewarding you some measure of variation and change. But Kartia is always the same and the layout is always the same no matter whether you do the 85, 90, or 95 one and there is no difference between solo and group Kartias.
I think a good change would at least be reducing the time to complete solo Kartia by 66% (so you only do the first room and then solo Kartia is over) or reducing the wave count for the 1st and 3rd section to only 3 waves each.
It wouldn't reduce the tedium but at least it would reduce the amount of time you had to spend in there.
just to highlight some important infos about kartia in lower lvls, if someone did forget:
at 85, solo kartia instance provides 7-8% xp/day
at 86, its 5%
at 87, 3%
now someone pls name one place where, after you do your awaken, you instantly gets 8% in the total amount of 30min or less, depending on the class you r doing it (ofc, while solo player, not party dependant).

There is nothing instant about solo Kartia. 30 minutes in solo Kartia feels like a 3 hours.
It also gives less XP than party Kartia which takes the same or less time and has a better reward at the end.

Nobody denies the XP reward being generous. But Elisande sums it up pretty well. Also the only way I found so far keeping me ...awake,is to turn sound completely off and chatting with friends.:)

Your thoughts?
Well, when you get to 90, that one sucks too...only good thing is no fear. Then when you get to 95, that one sucks too...only good thing is no fear, plus the 2 frags you get drop down to 1. I usually half fall asleep or get caught up in a movie or something while doing them. XP's XP though I suppose.

I chronoed my today's round on which I tried to do as best as I could.I ended the event in around 30'.
I use to play a mini game at final stage against Zellaka.I try to stop him roaring by using my panther's rush and stunning him.But to succeed you have to be very very precise on your timing. If there is "no fear" in K90 and above that is something I should start worrying about.:D

Until 95. The boss in K95 solo gives more XP than the boss in K95 group - 970m-ish against 930m-ish. Of course the mobs in K group make up for it but still - a nice boost from the 650-ish from K90 solo.
I refuse to do Kartia solo. It's so boring I can fall asleep.
Not long ago, I used to do solo Kartia on 7 characters in turn.
7 times a day.
That's what I call "boring"! :p
Now I just do K95 in 2 windows at the same time, switching from one window to another every 30 sec or so. And it is still boring and not challenging at all. And yet it is still worth doing it daily...
I dunno, they could at least randomize the mobs in each wave, to make it more interesting. But I guess it was too much for the devs. So, the only source of entertainment in Kartia is related to the few remaining bugs and AI glitches...

18 minutes on a well equipped summoner
20 minutes on a naked healer
22 minutes on enchanter
25 minutes on warrior
35+ minutes on a tank without weapon and shots :p

Speaking of which, I did last pass with a summoner NPC in party and his summons were attacking me...

I hate how people don't appreciate the difficulty of the game anymore. They just want it easier. I want it more difficult so I can outplay others and have an advantage, because I'm better.

I'm a healer... The only thing I must do in Kartia solo is to heal and buff the helpers... They have enough damage output alone, so I can only fall asleep while waiting for the next wave >.>
reach final boss, put auto-attack, go have dinner, come back, toon still on auto-attack striepd out of buffs, go take shower, go sleep, next day, you're done!
