Crt Damage of Bear Cry vs Hawk Cry

Both says +30% Critical Damage.

But i realized that when i use Bear the critical damage seems more high.
I know STR influences the crt damage, and P.atk influences too?

sometimes it may be coincidence..

Hawk Cry - Shouts loudly to invoke the power of the Hawk. For 5 minutes, increases your P. Accuracy by 8, Critical Rate by 120 and Critical Damage by 30%.

Feral Bear Cry - Shouts loudly to invoke the power of the Bear. For 5 minutes, increases your P. Atk. and P. Critical Damage by 30%.

rly, why with bear is more crit dmg? ... i think we will never know it, both say 30% :/
With bear you have more patk than you have with hawk.

Or are you guys saying you have same patk with both?
Come on Smittie. P.atk doesn't increase your damage. Use your head.

And what does then? O.o I always thought if you equip No-grade weapon with 10 patk you hit for less than when you equip R grade with couple hundreds patk. Same with Might buff.

Nah because if having more P.atk meant you did more damage then that would mean that your criticals would deal more damage as well.

But according to the first post this is clearly not the case. Therefore P.atk must increase stun or knockdown rates or something.
So...let me make sure that I understand this correctly.

With Hawk you get more crits and higher crit damage. So mobs will say, "Aaargh!" and "That really, really hurts, but otherwise, you still hit like a *****!!!!" more often presumably.

With Bear you get more p.atk and higher crit damage, but not necessarily more crits or less misses. So mobs will say, "OMFG, that hurt!!! Oh, wait, you missed me. OMFG, no you didn't that time!!!..and that really, really hurts!!!"

Does that sound about right?
Yes, you need more critical rate so you stop missing your attacks. It helps out a lot vs daggers.
i enjoy the sarcasm here.
and i'm serious about that.

many people argue that p.attack doesn't matter as much... as most damage is down by skills.
so...
your damage should be higher overall with Hawk assuming your skills can Crit.

of course this is all hearsay... and hearsay that's outdated by 2 updates.

what most Tyr's don't know though...
is that you do more damage when you have no Totems up.
Totems reduce skill damage by 75% unless you're using Fist weapons.

no, " p.critical" dont increase skill srit rate
You need to up your P.critical rate so your skills don't miss.

This right here explains why most randoms in kartia just dont bother putting up a feral cry at all.

And appear dumbstruck when told to "cry more" :D
This thread is actualy sad...

I tested this theory about doing less damage with totems up and found it to be completely inaccurate.

My average skill damage, against the same NPC in Aden using the same gear and buffs (except for the presence/lack of bear cry), was higher with bear cry up than it was with no totems up.

And the amount of people not understanding the difference between crit damage, physical damage and critical damage rat is rather infuriating.
i have taught you well. go in peace my padawans and may the force be with you.
