As anyone who has played L2 knows, Epic Jewelry is no only a game changer for PvP, but also a HUGE part, if not the biggest part of the Economy.
What've you've essentially gone and done, is given someone ridiculous power for the lovely price of 5 dollars, you've given them the guise of "Temporary" however you can buy unlimited packs and stack them, so essentially 50 packs (250 dollars) will buy you a full epic boss jewelry set which usually would cost upwards of 300 billion adena.
Not only does this MURDER the market, but it demotivates the remaining player base and honestly just ruins pvp. The level of pay to win was acceptable before, although annoying at times... However this is on par, actually no, it's beyond the F******K UP that you guys managed with DEWR.
Have you seen what these jewels can do, do you even look ingame? Suddenly anyone with 35 dollars can put 2.1 TRILLION adena worth of epic jewels into their party on a whim, and not only can they do this for 2 weeks which is annoying enough, but for the lovely price of 60 dollars a month, they can do this for an UNLIMITED AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE WHOLE GOD**** GROUP OF SEVEN.
Well, I quit. My CP Quits, and I'd go ahead and wager that about 10-15% of your endgame player base will quit too, RMTing their chars and the remainder of their gear along with them. (Slow Clap)

EDIT: I'd like to add that I am one of the people that can afford multiple packs, and if I so desired I COULD purchase permanent raid jewelery, so please don't use the "qq mengz u is poor" on me.
ahem, just to clarify, the boxes are probably randomized. That means you could get 1 of 4 jewels and open another to get the same one. If you do the math, that is 1 out of 4,294,967,296 chance if all 4 boxes that you open would give you one of each jewelry. That's four BILLION, two hundred ninety-four MILLION, nine hundred sixty-seven THOUSAND, two hundred and ninety-six. The odds are certainly not in your favor. And I did not include if the boxes have a percentage chance of one jewelry appearing more often than the others. I think you would have a better chance of winning real money in the lottery. That's it, better idea, spend your money on the lottery instead of crying foul, win lotsa money and then buy lotsa ingame items. It's a win-win scenario.

is wrong. They can't do that because the packs will be for sale only for a couple of weeks, so either they spend 500 or so dollars each (the packs are not tradeable) and get the jewels for, say, 2 years, or they don't.
Still, it's quite effed up. We get new standards of P2W every day around these parts.

Next year of playing L2 will be like 25% of sever population running with same (:D:D) end game jewels and rest of the guys taking a nice beatdown leading to quit the game. Obviously guys with stacked raid boss packs will quit too.. Whats the point of pvping day by day with guys with exactly same jewels lol :D:D

I pity all of you who flame on that red coat, he has a point. It has gone to far, and you people agree with NC's politics. Yes you agree, if you had a different set of mind you would all, spam this forums, use the mail, or even the old school call the ******** and set them straight.
But no you don't care, you live in your imaginary perfect bubble saying "this is all a game", yet you play it for more then 7 years. It's more then a game to some. It became more of a hobby to some, to many an addiction.
But still we spend hundreds of dollars, on the game that doesn't even deserve a dime to be spent on.
What we see now IG is,
server packed with Ghost Potions, Full Epics. And now when the new update shall come, and people say it's FEOH era. Guess what's going to happen? Nothing.
You're going to continue playing, or you're going to quit.
In the end, treat this game, as a game. It's hard when NC pulls this tricks on us, but hey try to ignore it.

No idea if this is relevant to player base, but maybe it is to NCwest. I know about 14 people that left the game. Some quitted, some went to Innova. Just something to activate a small portion of NC's brain.
First of all, I'm not going to Innova. Second of all, shop stuff is not an Event.
I thought it generally for all these people who run to Innova, because there are no boss jew packs in shop ... not yet.

It is called bottom line. At the end of the day ncwest is a business and stuff like this keeps the game going . Also who is gonna spend billions on stuff 90% of the players are never going to get anyways? This helps battle the rmt and ncwest makes money that in turn keeps the game going.

So with this idea about "battle with rmt" NC can start sell chars 99 and armor and weapons to prevent black market with chars and items :p
