We’re happy to reveal the initial tease of the Ertheia, a new race coming to Lineage II. While a lot is still unknown about the Ertheia and the impact they will have on the world, it can be rightly assumed that they will be quickly drawn into the ongoing conflict in Aden.
You can look forward to playing this mystical race sometime next year in North America, as part Lineage II’s upcoming year-long 10th Anniversary celebration!

Isn't this a bit early? People want info on Valium not something that we will get next year, or is this a way to try and promote that this game is still going strong?

First they introduced Kamaels, the formerly-two-winged race degraded to being one-winged.

Oh by the way, who said they look like elves? Can't you see, their ears do look different: they don't stick up!
Moreover, some of their animations remind me of Wynn Feline Queens/Cats; this leads me to conclusion that their ancestors were flying cats (or cat-like creatures with saggy ears...). And their home island probably drowned when it got overburdened with too many layers of cat litter... :o
Will this Race have a healing Class? i was just wondering as they have a magic class and they look like the suit the roll very-well. would anyone else like to see this with a healing class? i know i will xD

Giants wanted to capture and subjugate the free-flying creatures, but as soon as an arteia was locked up in a cage, it quickly lost its strength and died. Giants were left with no choice but to allow the arteias to fly free. The arteias visited the city of giants to give them news from other parts of the world.

Yes, Sayha the God of wind created the Ertheia.
And no, Shilen was not the one who created the Dark Elves. They were part of the Elven tribes, then they were banished for studying dark magic.

Einhasad created elves, orcs, dwarves and Ertheias "Arteias" insuflig energy of each element controled by his sons. Giants and genesis creatures was created at same time than gods. Kamaels created by giants. Humans by gran kain.
Im still waiting to see Dragonwarriors and ilusionists from lineage 1 here ( ilusionist hard because they follow shilien :/ )

Einhasad is the goddess of light and life, and helped her children in giving the essence of life to their creations.
Shilen was the goddess of water and creator of elves.
Paagrio is the god of fire and creator of orcs.
Maphr is the goddess of earth and creator of dwarves.
Shaya is the god of air and crator of the ertheias.
Gran Kain, the god of darkness and chaos created the humans.
He picked the corrupted and used essences that the other gods used to create their children:
- Corrupted essence of water of the elves
- Corrupted essence of fire of the orcs
- Corrupted essence of earth of the dwarves
- Corrupted essence of air of the ertheias
Combine that esence with his power and created the humans; but was ashamed of them - because humans were really pitiful creatures - and abandoned them.
The giants manufactured with their science the kamaels.
Following the destruction of the Giant's Civilization, when they attempted to overthrow the gods, the Kamaels were saved and put in another dimension, with their home island.
For thousands of years the Giants were the masters of the world, and the other races (save the ertheias, because they died in captivity) were slaves to them:
- Elves were administration slaves
- Orcs were military slaves
- Dwarves were artisan slaves
- Humans were the slaves that did all the menial and lower jobs
Folowing the destruction of the Giants, the elves took charge of things, but later the legions of the orcs conquered almost all the world, and the elves were almost defeated (the dwarves simply sold weapons for the the oposite races) but a alliance with the humans saved the elves.
Later the elves were betrayed by the humans, and the latter took control of the greater part of the world.
Shilen and her father, Gran Cain, had a sexual relationship, and Einhasad went berserk, and Shilen was expeled from the realm of the gods and is the now the goddess of death; while her younger sister Eva is the new goddess of water.
The elves still loyal to Shilen were cursed and turned into the dark elves.
Shillien, now the goddess of death, is the mother of the dragons:
- Valakas
- Antharas
- Fanfurion
- Lindvior
The Church of Einhasad, not happy in knowing that the humans were the last of creatures and the last of slaves, made a conspiration and hide the truth about the creation of humans, lying while saying that was Einhasad their mother.
This lie was later suported by Einhasad, that send her heral, Anakim, make a deal with Shunaiman.
The Followers of Gran Cain know the truth, and try to tell that to the people, but are persecuted (since the time of the emperor Shunaiman) has heretics and demon worshipers.
Add Aulakiria (Dragon of Light) to the list of known children of Shilen.
And no, the Dark Elves were born as a tribe at the age of the racial wars. Having turned to the dark arts in order to win against the humans and the orcs, they were banished from their homeland and their skin became gray.

so first they write something and then they suddendly change their mind and screw the whole background story because the ******* koreans ARE NOT SMART ENOUGH to follow the story line, puff, crappy update.

Yes, that's improper advertising. At the top of the page they write "Ertheia", and in the fine print they say that those are not the classic Ertheias as described in the original lore at all. This is one of the reasons for the wrath of the Korean players.

well, they did try to justify the lack of wings with the last paragraph in Episode #1 신*********라 불리는 자들의 *********야기 (funny how the title is called "The Story of those called gods" xD )
Of all the things to get upset over, it had to be the naming of the race?
Hell, they probably went with "Ertheia" to make it easier on the players. As a player would you really want to go around and say "my character is a Half-Ertheia" or would you want to say "my character is a Ertheia." It's easier on the devs as well. Instead of going "Half-Ertheia" every time they're trying to talk about or describe this character, it's easier to go "Ertheia."
the story they're releasing at the moment is dealing with ertheia's background story, as it was discontinued in the old lore after their mysterious disappearance during the war between the orc and the elves.
nad and half ertheia lore's an interesting one so far (only two chapter so very hard to tell where they're going with this) so let's just kick back and enjoy this new race
