Been playing this game for like 10 years+.
Right now, which means after Lineage 2 went "free-to-play", Lineage 2 is full of bots.
I believe it should be now called "the biggest bot network you will ever see in any game" - this would be much closer to the reality. Really.
Usually, you will see something like 20 bots in one location. For example Varka Silenos Outpost.
Since computers are getting more powerful, 1 user can be running 3, if not more, bots simultaneously.
Now, let's take a look at what NCSOFT does about it:
a) you can report 7 bots per account. This doesn't look very well if we got 20 + bots in 1 location. Not very well at all.
b) you can make the next bot report after 30 minutes. No comments necessary here.
c) if you want to write a petition to report a bot, I have news for you: you will hear a male voice telling you "The petition system is currently unavailable, please try again later". I'd call this tactic something like, hmm, oh I don't know, maybe "denial of service"?
d) quote from the game: "You cannot report a character who is in a peace zone or a battleground".
Like if a bot(s) is(are) sitting in a (every?) city, spamming information about a website selling gold for real money - you can't report it because it's in the city. Yeah, no comments necessary.
e) If you have a problem with the game crashing, like the one that happens if you teleport - yeah, I do mean the one, that's been going on for the past like 10 years - rest assured, that "they are working to solve the issue" <- most common cliche these days.
f) If you block a character, the block list gets wiped out after certain time - I don't remember how often, but might be every Wednesday, since that's when the vitality is reset.
I would really like to see an NCSOFT official explaining these. I did not send this to NCSOFT support because I know what they would say in return (the cliche I mentioned in my pt e)), plus something like, "we are sorry for the inconvenience", which translates into English as: "we don't care".
