I like reapers. They rain lightning, they look ****, and are just fun to play with. I know a lot of people like the new summons, but I find I still deal really good damage with reapers. By boosting m.atk and casting speed, I can shoot out my marks way faster than I can physically attack the target.
Am I alone? Randoms I party with are dumbfounded that I play that way :/
Do any other Wynns out there still use reapers? or focus on m.atk for their Wynns? Or have details on the summons' skills (skill power/reuse time stats).
No, because M.Atk scales terribly compared to P.Atk and NCSoft did not put as good of an M.Atk transfer in Ultimate Servitor Share. Additionally, NCSoft does not allow us to transfer any M.Critical Rate to those pets. If they had like 60% M.Atk/M.Critical transfer in Ultimate Servitor Share then (assuming a Crit Rate of 180 on a Summoner, since I'm going by ~baseline stats) the pets would have more M.Atk and a 265+ M.Critical Rate which would likely put them more in line with the physical pets for AoE group leveling.
For single target or raiding they would always lose out due to their terrible white damage output and low P.Critical rate.
The only way to make those pets competitive with the new physical ranged summon is to increase it's M.Crit rate.
Until then, the new summon is always going to be better.
The reapers are nice because their P.Def/M.Def is quite a bit higher than the Soulless, and they regenerate HP with their single target nuke.
If the Reapers had an M.Atk-based single target attack, like an Elemental Spike type thing, I wonder how they would then scale. Probably much better. I think riding the fence is what hurts this pet so much. There is no setup that can truly optimize its damage output. The physical ranged pets don't have this issue (stack P.Atk/Crit/etc. and go kill ****).
