Fluidity is gone from this game. The graphics are the same but the whole thing needs better computer for no apparent reason.

Actuelly,i knew a usa player who used to be THE top name of servers on the years he played and ofc was spending loads of money to TOP gear his toon,he confessed us that he stayed in this game cause he was an addicted casino player who was in need of the thrill earn or loose all ( he had cash and a nice job from this family buisness)and on l2 he could have this thrill of gambling but it costed him much cheaper than vegas.
I agree with all the rest too,as years go by only the negative parts of game remained.That's why all players miss the last original l2 chronicles-c3,c4,interlude-where we could still see our L2 world.
Wow that is some brand new information. You seriously think that people who play this almost 10 year game don't know about this stuff? But now with your "think about this" my whole life is changed... Just play your game (or don't) and let the others do what they want with their time.

Speaking as a player who played skyrim on max graph + HD Text. DLC + Mods for more realistic graph... I still like my kamaels design dush...And it's a good enough reason for me to come play this game again! If you dislike something or someone or your IQ is too low to asimilate that we don't like you and you don't like us! Then JUST **** OFF FROM THE GAME and stop flooding with threads "Why I suck so much, but you suck more for been better"... TY
The game is addicting. Even when I quit for a few years' stretch, I thought about running around in L2's virtual world. One can't help but daydream once in a while about exploring places...different classes/races...quests...killing things... lol. It's crazy, but it's entertainment. It's not for the "stupid" by any means. I'm not about to list my credentials, but I'm sure there's many of us that look at L2 as a nice escape from the stresses of real life. Just enjoyable....I don't spend much if any money any more here, so it's no longer a money sink. I guess a lot of us have just been here so long, it's like a member of the family and / or a regular daily activity that's hard to just up and quit. There's tons of better games out there...but something keeps pulling me back here. ;) ... NCsoft, please kill the game so I can be free!!

All MMORPG games are the same. Other question what are u doing here?
The game is addictive because persons tend to identify themselves to the characters that they are roleplaying.
Is more like a projection of how they want to be.
Thus there are boys roleplaying male toons with muscles and biceps (orcs/humans), girls rolepalying chic female toons like elfs or more lustfull like dark elfs.
There is a part of persons who see it the other way around ofcourse. Boys who prefer to roleplaying females just because they find pretty g@y to watch in their screen all day abs and biceps.
I was browsing the forums waiting for the Valiance to patch up when I came up to this post, I only logged in to answer.
I am 19 years old and I started playing Lineage 2 when I was 10. I had a few breaks myself from the game, I never really cared about the official servers before GoD (just once, but eventually I gave up) as the game wasn't f2p and all I did was playing in private servers with friends.
And you know what??? I still am in touch with most of them! Now that I am studying away from home, I really love visiting them and talking about everything! We used to spend hours on top of hours talking and helping each other. Not only in game, but in real life issues too!!! If you ask a random old school player, he or she is going to talk to you for hours about what were the discussions between him/her and his/her clan mates or even parties!
We sometimes would end up chatting all the time and not even raiding. We enjoyed that. That used to be our game and that is why many people return to it.
THAT sir is the Lineage 2 people used to know. People made SERIOUS bonds between each other that last until now. I haven't really thought of it as gamble, I have never ever spend money on this game. I always have the urge to return to the Dark Elven Village, sit outside the temple of Shilen and listen to this sound effect of the nature that I used to listen when I played in Noobwars c1 and I was a mere noob that couldn't level up her dark elf beyond level 20 because of the PKs and ignorance! You can pretty much say that this was my childhood.
And you know what? People used to have fun. People back then played to have FUN. Something that no longer happens in nowadays games. Nowadays, people play to play and become the best, back then, people played to have FUN.
And yes, you are right. The game is god**** heavy for nothing now. My computer 5 years ago (which can be considered wooden to my laptop now) would run the game more properly than now. And yes, nothing significant has changed (graphical).
I've been having the same discussion with a friend whom we play together ever since C1 and we both agreed that Lineage 2 is just like junk food; you know it's bad for your health, but you keep turning to it and you like it.
