No more heavy for healer

Aeore Healer Started Last reply 32 posts
So I checked today, and with the skill updated, with seraph robe +4 I get the same p.def as with seraph heavy +6.

Good right?
WTS Seraph heavy +6. :D

and why i still see aeore with heavys on game? :P
He's a little off.
He's a little off.

Unbuffed this is actually true, however, with buffs it is not. I have a +6 seraph robe set, and a +4/5/6 seraph heavy set. Unbuffed robes beat heavy by around 400-500 pdef. But with full PvP buffs, rose, turtle, etc. Heavy is still winning by around 1k.

It is really going to depend on what fight you are in, if it is mage heavy definitely take the robes, as they will add about an extra 1k mdef to the situation over heavy. If it is mostly physical damage, it is really still up in the air. Robes will net you less pdef but significantly more HP (5kish).

I'm still undecided as to which I will prefer right now, and I need to do some tests still until I decide.
Well, I-m referring to this valiance patch notes:

The Superior Armor Mastery skill effect for all Awakening classes has been increased:
Aeore - Superior Armor Mastery
P. Def. +109 -> +1126 (Robe)
P. Def. +73 -> +809 (Light Armor)

Aeore Healer - Superior Armor Mastery
M. Def. +300 -> +610

I just tryed it without and with iss 95 buffs (wizard harmony) in K95 and was pretty good with robe, I mean was better then heavy.

What are pvp buffs? rose turtle and?
No matter what, heavy benefits the most out of multiplier defense buffs, so for end game chars, hvy will still give more defense over anything else.
This is correct, however at the same time you are sacrificing HP & Mdef, among several other things for the added pdef. It is truly a personal choice and situational to what you are fighting that will decide what you wear. Even moreso now than before.
Well now you must consider this. Will this set save me from daggers?
How can you have so high cast speed with heavy and knight , I dont even come close to that ><

Get dyes.
Have +5 WIT +10 CON don't think replacing the CON with WIT will bring me up to 1900, have to check and see.
Need a bit more than +5 wit for cap cast speed.

Unless you are perhaps a light elf?

I havent checked it, mines a dark elf.
Max cast speed with knight's harmony with +10 WIT. Made pvp bearable in Lindvior. Now even that's not enough.

Also I tried an eternal robe set, an eternal light set and an eternal heavy set all equalish enchants with knights and divine elixir (the standard pvp setup) I have the most p.def with eternal heavy. Might make a tyrr now that tyrr weapons and armor are on sale in that auction house now that everyone's selling their heavy armors and healers.
yea it's a LE, im capped with wizard and robe and robe + knight is 1900 wit lvl 1 iss buffs.
I will try tonight to replace one CON dye with WIT and see how much it gives and then give myself lvl 3 ISS buffs or something.

You should be easily capped with robes since it gives 20% cast speed.

With robes on my healer I can use S grade duals with knights and delete daring and probably still be capped, if not I can just get another WIT dye or get +3 WIT octavis bracelet.

It's not about being capped with robes, its having 1900 cast speed with heavy armor and Knight im trying to get.

Get WIT dyes.

You don't really read things and just post, right? :D
I read what you typed. I'm reiterating my advice.

Ok im 'reiterating' my answer, I have +5 WIT +10 CON don't think replacing the CON with WIT will bring me up to 1900, have to check and see. ;)

With +15 WIT tats, ears, octavis shirt brings me to 106 WIT. When i get my bracelet (qq i'm noob healer) i will have 107. In heavy with lvl 3 buffs that will be 1900 cast speed. If you want to factor in sub/dual class perks it is very easy to get 1999 cast speed in heavy if you want it, but I prefer pdef/mdef.

Thanks
There's also istina/octavis shirt for WIT, Wit Pendant, thats 4 wit and should make quite the diference when using it along dyes.
Ofc if u somehow manage to reach cast speed cap, i cannot advice taking on more wit since im no healer myself.
so many tests and noone think to see light armor .
i thik to get light for my will be okif someone do test + pics cus im kinda lazy .
but with tw its 300pdef + - and 300mdef + - .
twh- 4k pdef - 2.7k mdef
twl - 3,7k pdef 3k mdef + 4.5k hp
twr - dont have :)
u tell me wich is better .
light lacks the bonus you get from robe, and the defense you get from heavy.
even if it has higher p.def... the heavy properties are better.

unless you're looking to evade strikes which doesn't seem like a viable option anymore.
o lf stats with pics on 99 armors .
losing p def will give u + m def .but how much will be .
again. i need a test .

Q: Exchange 4% pdef to loose 21% mdef and 12% hp is good?
hm
i dont have screens but from memory
on 96 aeore cardi
heavy gave me ~100 more pdef, ~1k more cp, -3k of hp, -900 mdef, - 300/400 cast spd
light gave around 50 pdef, same cp/hp(as robe), -400 mdef, -300/400 cast spd

in these tests i used seraph robe+3, seraph light+3 and seraph heavy+4/6

so it was obvious in valiance what set to use
but personally i still think heavy is good on healer, more so at end game with knights better than light cause of set bonus
Please dont forget there are different set bonuses as well.

This. The Valiance PvP's variable that all healers must consider before even thinking of engaging in pvp. Go in full heavy, light, robe or even naked: if you face more than 1 dagger as opponent, you must consider yourself owned and perma-floored. :(
