Died on my archer today and lost nearly all my event gear. So be extra careful like the old days and stay away from awakened players

In Valiance patch notes, item section you will find:
Bug Fixes

"Fixed an issue where the event version of the Requiem and Immortal equipment acquired through the mentor system would not be destroyed upon death when chaotic."

Most of us dedicated pkers knew that already but I think the the steel door coin items do not destroy so :)

back to wearing karmain and plated leather?
c grade perma reds were real popular back in the pre-awakened days.
but that is basically the same as having your defense reduced by 90%.

he is trying to say that, since you can now drop event gear. perma reds will probably have to wear C grade which is like having the debuff.
the debuff does not exist since valiance went live.
