It's that time of the year, Santa's coming to town and he's bringing presents for all the good boys and girls of Aden. All you have to do is collect some delicious Nectar and bring it to Santa, with it he'll help grow some amazing Wintermelons full of goodies. The Wintermelon Wonderland event (http://www.lineage2.com/en/news/events/wintermelon-wonderland.php) runs from December 18th, 2013 until January 8th, 2014.

The item appears to be working correctly. Unfortunately, that is the nature of probability. If you flip a coin you have a 50% chance to get either side. If you get the same side 99 times in a row, the likelihood of getting the same side on the 100th flip is still 50%. I am sorry you didn't get the items you were hoping for and wish you better luck in the future. <o:p></o:p>

I Truthfully hope that on the "free to play" server owned by ncsoft we not gonna be disappointed by having just this LAME event for new years eve.
Still hoping for REAL NEW YEAR lineage 2 event in game, But yeah NCfail so ... Let see will they disappoint their community .
I use google translator to write , cause when i use english and my fingers to type, ncsoft do not understand any players complains , also that is a New year Holiday and that their event suck. Thx bye.
These melon events are getting real old real fast. Make some real events where we get the supplies we need instead of small lottery based games to get that epic ring that no one else has.

Agreed. Nothing but low grade junk for the little bit you can get from just killing mobs. Years ago these events where amaze balls,but they don't do much for me now.
I went from lvl 70 to 72 without a single nectar drop, come on guys!
Not sure if I'm on to something or just coincidence...but I ONLY have gotten any nectar drops when in a full party. It's happened on several different occasions...so maybe it means something? Maybe not? Who knows...but I refuse to buy any.

Press on "I want to exhange this junk for something" then go down and the last one is snowballs I think.

Remember that Christmas event where Santa would randomly port to random people hunting and give them a little prize?
I remember playing on Linnda when she was 68 struggling to solo Catacombs with her Low A-Grade Rapier. Santa came and gave me a lot of coupons for the like the 2 day 16+ weapons which really helped my hunting and grind. Made it to 73 over the week of Christmas break.
I mean events like that really made my day and was actually useful to me. I wish they'd bring events like this back instead of promoting the L2 in game store.
You mean at the reconstruction manager, but that gives a box/hero box, santa says he gives santa costume and hat, where is that?

It says right there in the text description that Santa gives Santa Hats and Suits for Trainees in exchange for snowballs when you ask Santa about the rewards, just as JustJenkins said. Considering what is said by many people that this is a recycled event, it wouldn't be a surprise that perhaps this option was available last time but now they removed it because they put those items in L2Store.
Any NC Official care to explain this for those of us who actually read what the NPC says, and because of that expect more rewards than are actually offered? Thanks.
p.s.: some of the things Santa says are also awkward: "Have a merry 2013" or something about if 2012 was a prosperous year etc. I believe some language message updates are in order:)

Santa also says "What, not excited about Snowballs? They have Wintermelon Seeds inside!" immediately before explaining the Aden Reconstruction... maybe the Large Snowballs have[I haven't gotten 50 nectars... yet] but can't do anything with normal but give them to Moe.
I wanne ask u guys, who's playing on NC servers, do u have similiar felling with drop chance for Frost Squash Nectar, that is higher drop in specific time?
I'm playing on innova eu server and on night time ( in EU ofc) i could collect much more Frost Squash Nectar than regular day time hours.
Is this drop chance depending on administrators form specific server or this event build/mechanics is just copied/gived away from Korea/NC/Innova and should (at least in theory) works in the same way?

Yes, they always done this in here. Higher drop rate when the server is at its peak. but looks like it's different story there?

i remember people going out of town to fishing spots or npc's in the wild and leaving their toons autoattacking them because santa only came while you were in combat out of town.
ETA: i also wish to express my resentment that ALL the chronos are made available to buy. this gives NO meaning to the term CHRONICLE 1 SOUVENIR which should be a limited availability item.
