Fishing: False ingame advertisment or bugged?

I got back into fishing. It has been made easier with Valiance but I noticed something.

I have lv2 Expertise and Reel/Pump also lv2.
I've switched from Normal Fishing Shots to High Grade Fishing Shots.

High Grade Fishing Shots say "Soulshots for fishing rods. Damage x 3 for pumping and reeling." using these shots I do 168 damage. Using Normal Fishing Shots I do 112 damage. That's no x3 damage, that is only +0,5x damage compared to Normal Fishing Shots.

Normal Fishing Shots go for 360 adena, High Grade Fishing Shots go for 600 adena. Almost double adena for only half more normal damage.

Is it false advertised/wrong translation or just bugged?

No bug or false advertisement. Did you try checking your damage without fishing shots and comparing it to the normal/high-grade shots?

Just some math help for you-

With 3x shots - 168dmg.
Without Shots would be third of that, since they triple it - 56 dmg base.
With regular shots, its 2x56=112.

Math is hard, but give it a try sometime!
