1- Get rid of all bot trains farming 24/7 everywhere in the game.
2- Develop a system to make impossible the use of 3rd party software to automate gameplay.
I am sure that 100% of the Lineage2 Community agrees to these 2 simple resolutions and if this is finally done, it will make this game much more enjoyable and possibly increase the legit player population in all servers.
We know NCsoft is dealing with the bot situation but its just not enough. When 10.000 bots are banned another 20.000 are created in the same day, so why not charge a small fee for account creation?

+1 for all but not for bold... i personal will never played here if there was lake pre-GoD. I mean o p2p.
Maybe NC may up some system with invite link to servers recognize who is who friend= referral (guarantee) (referral to be master account with min 1 char 95+ lvl), so if new player boting (get ban for bot) referral lose rite to new invite permanently and got some minimal in-game punishment lake 1 day all chat ban or no option to use GK 1 day (24h online status). Im sure the in this game is not total new players, all know someone who play already or simple gm make sup-forum here and advise the new players ask for master account activation in public forum.
that is my mini opinion for bot situation, i know is nto perfect but all know the if some stuff start to work in anyway after to more and more good, but important is 1th to start :)

+1 But you know what i find really really wierd? That everysingle mmorpg(mostly f2p) have gold sellers and autofarm proggrams. So or the devs who proggraming the games leave back doors to make such proggrams possible and get some extra income ;) Or the cheaters are 1st world class hackers that can break anygame and make autofarm etc proggrams.

yeah there are many anti-bot threads ignored by ncsoft but if everyone made new threads demanding this situation to be fixed maybe they do something about it; im doing my part.
It's easier to stay quiet when theres an issue than try to do something about it...and for ppl like u its easier to just flame and criticize than to help demand a change. So please if u wont help just be quiet and keep being the frustraded forum flammer that you are.

Thats not true...many L2 private servers are able to completly block the use of zr, tower and others

My point is that spamming the boards is useless, Vali and Juji need only 2 clicks to merge this thread with the official one. Or better yet, ignoring it (and the countless clones you wish people woul open) requires zero effort.

If they were stupid enough to wipe the database they would also wipe-out this community. They would lose so many players there would only be Lineage II in Wikipedia.

What players? I'm probably one of the few legits and I don't care to star over again. I'm sure I'm not alone.
With respect, to even make a post like this in the first place, you're taking this game way too seriously... It was already too late for any of this more than 5 years ago. Thanks to NC Soft, It is never going to change...
From my limited experience, most of the hardcore automated crowd don't even want to play like this (let's face it, it really sucks), it's simply to stay competitive at the top level. L2 is all about controlling and exploiting resources. Programs are simply one of the strongest resources in game since NC Soft has no interest in removing it.
You can either:
1. Accept it for what it is and exploit it as a resource to compete.
2. Understand the above but decide against using it and play how you want, irrespective of your potential for success.
3. Simply walk away like many others already have...
This isn't a PvP game, It's a war simulator... 'Legit play' for any player vying to compete for 'true' domination is like joining an extreme cult or religion that forbids it's followers from making logical choices.

I wouldn't even call it a war simulator. It's degenerated to the point where it's more like playing WWE 2K14, choosing "COM" for both players, leaving and going to the movies, then coming home and claiming the title belt and calling all your friends bragging about winning. The minute this franchise became a money-making alternative to finding a real job it became a joke. So you can keep your New Year's resolutions because NCSoft hasn't the balls to make the hard choices and redeem this so called "game" in the past and it won't this year either.
