We've come up with a resolution to the free Fortune Reading ticket situation. On January 29th we'll be adding a Fortune Reading ticket for 1 adena to the L2 Store. Limited to 1 per account.
The 1 adena Fortune Reading ticket will be available after our regularly scheduled maintenance and will only be available for 24 hours. The 1 adena Fortune Reading ticket will be available to everyone.
About the Server Rewards (Luxury Fortune Reading Only), does it work like :
Once you get to the selected number of readings (let's say 750 for a QA Ring), the 751st reading will give the item
or
Once you get to the selected number of readings (let's say 750 for a QA Ring), there is a chance to win the item ?
I think the first sounds logical.
Since you get enchant scrolls at every 3rd or 5th reading.

Can in the future be clarified in the Maintenance notes and in the event description the type of event you introducing? (Between a Normal Event and an L2Store Event)
That way would definitely avoid a lot of confusion in the community.
I'm looking forward to obtain nice S Grade stuff and sweet R grade stuff... wonder where's the R99 stuff i need, all these low grade rewards are killing me, and absolutely not motivate me. One thing that popped to my mind while reading the event's description:
"If your inventory is full, then Crystal Seer Eve will NOT read your fortune."
Have you tested the situation where the inventory is not full initially, but could not handle *all* the earned prices, if player read several tickets together in same game round ? Maybe I'm misunderstanding here...
Please confirm if I) or II) applies, and if you have checked the below situations.
From my reading, steps 1-2 are for selecting how many tickets user wants to spend in the "game round", up to 50.
Example: Let's say he uses 20 tickets, and has 5 slots free in his inventory (OK that may be dumb, but let's not overassume the IQ of our player base here).

1. Game is interrupted before step 3 (Reading), as inventory would reach its max capacity already, player earns his 5 rewards and receives back his remaining 9/20 tickets.
NOK scenarios:
2. Ticket #12 is consumed for Reading step 3, risking a new reward being earned, that could not be carried ?
3. User is allowed to play until his 20th ticket as initially decided, and finds himself in the end with rewards he cannot claim on the spot ? What happens in that case to the rewards that did not get put in inventory ?
4. If not 1., what happens to the remaining initially "engaged" tickets in the game round ?

BTW, for the people thinking of buying the luxury tickets, i would advise you to do some math first. Take in consideration the normal price of the ncoin and take your own conclusions.
I took my own conclusion:
Paying +-200m worth of coins to get items worthing between 20m (that it's probably the most likely prizes) and 600m, excluding the lindvior earring ofc, is definitely not a good deal for me.

First, when 'your inventory is full message' shows up you always have 10 free slots in your inventory. Always.
Second, The GMs are not stupid, they probably implemented a security check which always checks if you have enough free spots or not.

How simple minded are you guys? The entire server consumption of Luxury Fortune reads is calculated to achieve the Luxury Fortune rewards not something a single player has to work on.

This whole year so far has been a line of one bad decision after another....

Well the start so far doesn't show anything promising in regards to the majority of the player base, only the minority will get satisfied and even then I suppose after a few more events like this they will no longer see a reason to waste money.
The start of 2013 brought us a huge change in the way they implement in game events, slowly it came from no real money involvement to a slight addition to the NC store, and look at it now, you can only get something by giving away huge amounts of income.
Ps. what is this fortune shop? a feature that was not related to nc-coin purchase, hence cut off from being available?
Dear Vali, I would suggest to fix the 0 NCoin Fortune ticket on a support ticket basis. From 4 pre-GoD accounts I have, all 4 of them which have made purchases in the past, only two got the 0 NCoin Fortune ticket with success. One thing I have realized is that those accounts which have failed, the main char (highest level char) was in sub-class during maintenance and I have switched them to main class to be able to use the shop, since the subs were bellow level 85. It might be also contributing to the issue it seems.
Before ppl roar at my suggestion, it follows the idea that nobody buying NCoins are looking for anything at L2 Shop anyway, they will even not bother to send a ticket (ofc will disencourage the thousands bots lv85+ too, but not avoid them), and the real players which has one or two accounts will be satisfied with solution if properly handled by the support team.
I would put also a deadline to the tickets to be sent, with no more than tomorrow 23rd for that, in case a fix is not available.

This event isnt bad. But since the only things i need in game are controlled by 1 clan on the entire server, and ncwest isnt going to do anything about it except hire more corrupt gm's, I guess I will just keep my money in my pocket from now on. thanks for the AQ ring. thats like so 8 years ago :) I guess thats my fortune read(give up already).
the reason all the new toons log in for events is because I almost guarantee an algorithm is being used on events to reward those with best/rarest items to those that dont contribute routinely(because those that give the most are already hooked)!

Yeah, am playing this game: biggest help given towards keeping the servers alive (you know the game is marketed as Free2Play right? ergo they or anyone, that includes you, shouldn't ever mention: spend x amount of money to keep the servers alive; that's just nasty private-server-like begging which shouldn't happen on official server marketed as Free2Play).
You know what? Perhaps I would also spend money as well (an NCoin here an NCoin there if the goddayum company wouldn't be so greedy as to offer NCoins only in bulk packages lol). For example I would like to change the color of my character's title (80 NCoins), but hell I have to buy 400 NCoins minimum (no thanks).

Speaking about rewards and bots - we all know that the bot owners put coins in the bot accounts to prevent them from ban and by doing this they can participate with all bot accounts. I have few other 85+ accounts, but I've had coins only on my main so QQ. Bot owner with 3 trains will be able to participate with 22 chars and I will participate with 1. Guess who will get the rewards :)
But this is normal economy - the more money you have the easier it is to make even more, without money you can't do anything.

NCSoft doesn't care about people who don't spend money on their game. NCSoft is a publicly traded company that people buy and expect to perform well. F2P is a bait and switch tactic. Play this "free" game, but to win you need to buy stuff. Now instead of 15$ a month, you have people spending 150$ a month. This 1 person is paying the equivalent of what 10 people use to pay. Here's a tip, buy some NCSoft stock, then purchase all the nccoin you want...maybe you will get a dividend when the stock goes up! :D

sounds like you weren't playing during the Tersi event to not know how a free event of this type will be exploited en mass but ok sure NC could just enable it for players with no NCoin history and a creation date prior to this events announcement..

It isn't that hard. It was intended that everybody (with 85+ char) could participate for free. It could have been pure paid event and I'm ok with that, but it isn't and they promote a free-to-participate part of the event and they have recognized the error
What did you all really expect? The game is now 'that kind' of business. Going F2P meant stuff like this was inevitable. If you don't like it, I'm afraid the only answer is the door...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan, in fact I detest F2P models with a vengeance, I just think you're wasting your energies. F2P is generally terrible for MMO's, and especially for people who don't want cash shop 'content' creation consuming their game-space. Even for a product as neglected and malign as Lineage 2, it was almost entirely negative.

A simple resolution would be to add 1 ticket to each account, regardless. This would make it so ppl that had NCoin would get 1 extra, but people without NCoin would earn something for playing, too. You can't forget that without people freeloading the servers, they would be quite empty.
A simple solution would be for ppl to buy the lowest amount of coins you can buy.
This way they will have had a positive ncoin balance at some point and most events have something that cost 1 ncoin, and they can participate. If they choose to.

Funny that even those who buy fortune tickets with NCoin are not screaming with happiness what a great event this is. Big spenders from my clan are calling it "a lot of rubbish". Helped ease the disappointment of not getting the free ticket, but I still want it even if for the sole purpose that when someone notifies you that they are giving you something free, then by god you want it! ;)

Nothing really beyond that,a repeat of what I got Weds. The element stuff I do like to save for future armor so I'm not really complaining, they do get spendy when you are in the moment of trying element.
The S enchants...those just put some change in my pockets if they sell.
ETA: I think the reason for how this event works is for ALL the people who complained about how bots benefit. Now everyone gets 1 cheap ticket or you have to put out some cash. I doubt bots waste money on things like this with slim chances of high end payouts.

Baium Ring was given out yesterday from luxury fortune readings on chronos. within 1 full day = 1500+ already. LOL! And I think I saw someone selling a lindvior earring too...not sure if it was from event or from nova. toon name was PanicAttackk.

Just popping in before bedtime to point out to all the freeloading leeches that 1 adena is NOT FREE.
Feel free to rage, noone will care, but have discovered its pointless to try and explain free to you all.
I am simply stating my own opinion here, but I find this Store Event quite nice, and funny.
I am enjoying the "one ticket a day for 1 NC Coin", and each day I go the NPC, click a random card and see what I won. Nothing fancy so far : Elemental Stones, one BEAS, and one pack of 10k SSR (this one is great !)
For basically having nothing to do, and having a bit of fun from the random part, it's not so bad :)
I just wanted to follow up with you. We're still looking at ways for people to get a free reading before the event is over. I'll post an update once more information is available.
why not run a db script to give a 1 coin balance for those who have no coins and have never spent anything.
in pseudo SQL:-

Is the reward (Scroll of Blessing R95 and R99) bugged ? Cause in Chronos i think nobody got this reward yet, Im checking the Auction House everyday and many times by day, none selling it or announcing in cities. Or maybe is harder than Lindvior reward that i saw a guy selling... Or maybe someone that got the scrolls of blessing used for themselves...

Also, the guy that just got Earth Wyrm in Chronos told me he just bought one. You just need to be lucky :D
I am only getting the 1 nc coin every day... so far element stones and once 5k bssr.
I am risk averse. If people had sense they would be too and NC would have to find different ways to make money.

acording to table get 2 tauti rings 1 atharas 1 earth wyrm is NOT 180 tickets :) just saying. Acording to his win epics he had to use like 380 +150+150+180 tickets and camp chat :)\

Event rewards are useless.Don't fall into same trap i fell or you
