First 500kk

Aeore Healer Started Last reply 12 posts
Hello, I am currently an 86 Aeore Cardinal. I am currently focused on advancing my character (pve first then pvp). I have seen articles from other awakened classes about where to spend the first 500 mil or so, so I thought it would be a good thought to try it here.

So the facts:
86 Human Aeore Cardinal
Ultimately will be pvp focused, but pve route to gear up.
I have a +0 twilight healer robe set currently with eles.
I am borrowing a +3 mana up / acumen apoc sword.
I am using cruddy s80 jewels currently (I have diplomas to buy R ones, but I am waiting).
No other outstanding gear / dyes / skill enchants have been done yet. I have about 135 mil currently, but looking ahead to first 500 mil or so.

Thank you.
+15 wit (+5-4 the cheapest, 7-9kk each 30 peaces)
Tal*DLE +4 for HP and MP boost (when in hard situations)
U got sigil ?
enchant passive skills +2-3 (if u feel lucky 4-5)
try to have fun even when ur party is :) censored :D
Sorry I forgot that point. I have a +0 Twilight Shield (defense type).
consider getting a freya neck, its like 150m~ or so depending on server
it will last for awhile and useful for you

D faq...this is a terrible way to spend money.

Dyes aren't necessary because half of your spells instantly cast...

Duals gimp your healing/hexing/nuking capability. The boost for MP and HP is not that great. Only reason why people have these duals are for the massive CP boosts which is mostly PvP.

Enchanting skills is a bad way to spend money early on as your chances of success are much better at 99.

Don't listen to this guy. Save up for a good set of R95 robes with at least 120 element of each element. Your Apoc/Requiem caster will serve its purpose so no need to get Specter Weapons ASAP. Freya is a good investment as well as Top Grade Resistance Jewels from CoC.

As a Healer your role in PvE is to survive. Armor and Jewels help out tremendously with this and should be your top priority.
First of all if you need armor to stay alive (we talk in PvE) better reroll.

+ wit is good for ressing (yes people die) and faster casting of e verything. difference between 1400 and 1999 is large. +wit gives debuff resists also ( not all but some of them)
tal*dle is helpfull when your party screams for mana (esp strom screamers with theyr old skills ..) and you'r rebirth isn't going to be ready soon

as 85 lvl eva saint with vesper {PvP} robe set +3 3 x60 i didn't died even once in soa (and untill 90 you won't see harder place than that) and almost never dropped some 1 from my party

Additional, that is an alt, and i could spend some adena to it. Maximizing casting speed worth for me, dyes aren`t expensive now, nor is tal*dle+4. Freya neck is around 60kk (Naia)

Enchanting passives. 2-2.5kk for book and max 1.5kk (Depends of skill) for +1 at 88% chances (goes +1% for 1 lvl or sort of) and 2kk max for second click isn`t such a big investment.(adena side) but it gives survivability, lower cost for skills etc

@HeirToRune gl with your bad behavior

OP stated that he have dual sa buster (w/ mana up) so why the hell he would need s gr duals to lose cast speed? he's human, not elf, so he needs atleast +10 wit to get decent cast speed. as for you.. being elf (i think you are elf, right?) it's just crazy to go +15 wit.. with just +4 wit and weapon w/o acu i had max cast speed on my LE healer. better learn to play yourself before telling everyone else to do so :)
Forget about races. The more WIT you ahve the more EXP you return from ressurrection.
Also OP is intending to do PvP ... PvP doesn't exist at 85+ lvl ?
Botted pvp-ers can interrupt skills that in one hand are instant cast with other that aren't. The more cast you get the better

I just threw some suggestions and you guys went crazy "lol l2p".. i said that is alt and i like it +15 wit, i like it with easy to get PvP items, and i am ha ving fun when i play it.
End of story!

you can't restore more than 100% of exp with ressurection, so no point to add more wit just for that (every awakened healer will restore 100% exp due to high base wit)
I think in PVE, you are fine until 95+. Honestly, I run around in requiem armor 900 ele with apoc buster w/ acumen. I rarely die and never run out of MP, so no need stressing yourself until 95+. The hardest thing I do is probably istina as far as how often I have to heal or pay attention. Freya you can easily get by farming the boss twice a week. Make some alts and you should get it in no time...CoC jewels are pretty easy to get just takes some time and fast clicking. Just sign and forget about trying to win...just play an alt while you do it. I'd save for a seraph set, maybe get some really cheap dyes if you want, but not hugely necessary until later...

If you want to be pvp oriented then only focus on getting lv 99 cheaply. Save and spend your money on r99/top gear. I think a seraph set + apoc weapon will get you to 99...get a freya/coc jewels...don't worry about rings until you can afford endgame ones. Don't use diplomas for R jewels if you got S80. Just get some Spiritshots.
There is so much misinformation in this thread it hurts me to read.

If you are level 85, and awakened, and you have 77 or more WIT, your level 85 rez is already 100%.

The only point in you obtaining more WIT at this point is to get casting speed capped which is 1999. It is obscenely easy to do, even with knights harmony - which you won't need to worry about for a while since you won't be pvping at level 87. Well not effectively at least. I wouldn't invest any money into tattoos at lvl 87 if you can obtain 1999 cast speed without them (set bonus, acumen weapon, buffs)

Your Twilight robes should have at least the base 60x3 ele on each piece. Putting more on is useless but 60x3 is doable and for very cheap. When you get seraph you can decide whether or not you want to invest more, if you are pvping before 99 you will want full 120 ele on your seraph. If you manage to get that far. Also remember that a +6 seraph robe set will yield you better stats than a +3/4/5 eternal robe set.

You will always wear robes, there was a time when heavy was preferred but with the recent update NCSoft has made Robes the more appealing option. You do lose a bit of pdef over heavy with full buffs, but you gain shittons of MDef, HP, and other bonuses heavy does not offer you.

You should be wearing a sigil until you get into pvp, then you should get a shield. I am 99 and I still am undecided which one I prefer, sometimes I feel like I live better with the sigil (Flat pdef), sometimes I feel I live better with the shield (chance to add shield's pdef to your base pdef when blocking + critical blocks).

Your ultimate goal at level 99 is to obtain 1999 casting speed with regular buffs that you can without needlessly wasting stats going over (read as +15 WIT). Your tattoos for survivability will most likely end up being 1 +5 WIT, and from there +5 CON, or INT if you want to be an olympiad ***** with boosts to matk and heals.

Your gear isn't what makes you a good healer though, your knowledge of the class does. You need to keep your party listing debuffs always, you need to learn these debuffs, you need to learn which is going to be a prioritize to cleanse when you get into PvP. You need to learn what each of your cooldowns does, and when you want to use them. You need to learn how to purge, and purge, and purge, and purge some more. Your fairy is your friend.. if your tank is dying fast your progressive heal can sometimes do more for your party than your balance life.

Did i mention you need to learn to cleanse? You have a single target and will eventually get an AOE cleanse for your party, (and one for ally with a ****** cooldown). Your party one will also make your group immune to debuffs for 8 seconds.

You have a skill called sustain, it increases your healing on a target you put it on, and stacks on yourself up to 3 times, use it often, it is your friend.

Don't be a celestial *****. Just because you have celestial doesn't mean you should be instantly using it in pvp. It should be a last resort, if you need to stabilize your party, or save someone from dying while balance life comes off cooldown, or if you need to rez someone. It is also nice to use through the enemy's BR if you find yourself unable to heal through it. You also have a skill called giant's favor - it turns you into a baby tank for 30 seconds. But it has a long cooldown. Use it when you feel you are unable to keep yourself alive while healing your party, or if you know you have something else to do while being attacked (like rezzing, etc).

these 2 statements aren't entirely corrects, as any healer player can notice. Healers have passive for robes (and light), but not always they must wear them, of course. The Robe/Light choice might be good for already 99 healers, which can hand over some AP to increase their stats such pdef/hp, but for 98- healers, heavy still withstands being far far more worth, both in cost or survivability wise.

Remember that healers can do fine in pve with pvp gear, but not the contrary - and even with all the boosts from robes, it still is a considerable pve gear (even if not +6 OE'ed, at minimun), imo, principally when, apart from a bunch of pdef newly add to the mastery, all dds also got nice boosts in their damage output capability.

Shield or sigil is a question for personal preference, to say the minimum. The healer's passive for sigil is lame, no discuss about it, but the pdef that's increased by it is nice, 'cause is a flat add to the current pdef you have, instead of what shields give - that only will work if you are in front of the attacker target (which healer will stand in front of its enemy, waiting to be plowed up, lol) and with a low rate random probability.

I have better perfomance with the combo heavy set + sigil + wizard harmony plus pdef increasing items than with shield. But again, its the minimum to stress about, since no one of the two really have a such impact in anything valuable (what's 50-100+ pdef against a DD with will shoot you with 20-60k d damage, anyways?)
