I have never played l2 before, i played long time ago a pserver for a while.
Now i want to try the real one.
What would you guys recommend as far as a Server and class to duo with a friend?
And what is the mentor thing?
From all the games..i mean welcome but the game is in very bad state with auto-farm, auto-pvp proggrams and other.. just keep in mind those major problems.
As an answer to your question Shielen,Naia,Chronos are the best choices.
For class its good 1 support + DD but you can go anything you like
Err guys new here means i have no idea what a good DD or support is...can u give me duos by the name like elf fighter with elf mage or something like that xD
There's no class called "elf mage", since there's more than one.
Quick outline on the classes (although a bit outdated) here (http://www.lineage2.com/en/game/classes/). There's a reason this forum has got a website attached to it.
in /partymatching some times you see players looking for mentor.
however, having a mentor or not, you basically hit level 20 at the same pace.
the difference is you need to talk to an npc to get buffs without.
when you hit 20 in what... 2 hours...
you can start to shout lookin' fer mentor.
Is it true now theres an option to avoid transfer quest by paying adena and the noblesse quest doesnt require barakiel?
Lol, you're a bit outdated. Class transfer quests last 10 mins at best and noble quest is just a random porting around while collecting items.

lol back when i played i think it was when valakas came out....transfer quests were tedious as all *** and noblesse quest was such a chore and actually finding and kill barakiel u'd have to be enlighten or have a summoner in the spot 24/7
So is there any guide or walkthrough i can check for those quests to see what they are now?
ha, yes there was a way to pay adena to transfer second class transfer.
it required a much quicker quest from dwarves in giran.
now first and second are part of the quest line so you almost automatically change class as you go. third class is a quest which takes a short time involving protecting some npcs from waves of mobs.
you could probably afk the whole process...
Dominators rely on clans to level them up. Shillien Knights are tanks.
Make your mind up about what class to play (Iss Enchanter or Sigel Knight). Then you can plan your path out. A Dominator isn't really recommended to new players, tho, given that they need strong support and strong ties to efficiently level up.
Well since im new and just got 1 extra friend playing with me what would u recommend, tank? dd? buffer? i love all the roles in the game i just want something that wont struggle finding pts or being useful in pt.

Tank, buffer and healer are the holy trinity without which any party can't play group content.
Obviously there will be people telling you that tank is useless, but that's only for certain PvE instances and only with good gear on the squishier party members. Not every Tyrr can tank whole rooms in Fortuna, after all.
In PvP tanks are a must, and PvP is generally the end game goal for everyone challenging this game.
I'll continue to assume you are a kid.....okay thanks!
BTW, it's well over 10% with that opinion, stick around and you will see.
LMAO!
zzzz at least im not a forum troll flaming a game i dont like lol. i might be a kid but at least im not stupid to stick around a game i dont like and QQ all day. so yeah... :)
is there any place where i can see the skills of the chars, i wanna know the difference between the tanks and buffers :s
Or you guys have any recommendations?
Try l2gc (http://www.l2gc.com/db/). A tad outdated, but still a decent site, with decently organized info. Some skills have changed names or have been added, so take l2gc's skill database with a grain of salt.
But summarizing it, a tank is a protector, a buffer gives strengthening magic to the party members. Definitely a class that can't be left out. A buffless party is a party made of thin paper.
