Hero Coin System too much?

So i was doing some math on the hero coin thing and i think its kind of crazy u need 1,800,000 NC Coin (considering u buy everything with the 10% extra reward) to get 250k hero coins.
Thats far over 2k dls, for 1 item.
I think the hero coin system needs a review i dont see how ppl will blow 2k+ dls for 1 item when theres at least 5+ items very appealing at 200k+ hero coins.
me to +1

That's far over $2,000 just for 1 item.
I think the hero coin system needs a review I don't see how people will blow $2,000 or more just for 1 item when there's at least 5 items that is very appealing at 200 thousand or more hero coins."

We Americans are notoriously lazy, but we do put an effort to type out "Euros" in regards to financial denominations. But, in the future feel free to use "bucks", "semoleons", "greenbacks", or "dollars cash money" so we can understand you better.

Ya welcome, Pilgrim.
You are not supposed to manage your acquisition of in game items via the Hero coin "bonus system". However, if you do spend a ton of real life money on this virtual world there is a buy $230,000 and get one item free program for you.

Similar too:

A frequent-flyer program (FFP) is a loyalty program offered by many airlines. Typically, airline customers enrolled in the program accumulate frequent-flyer miles (kilometers, points, segments) corresponding to the distance flown on that airline or its partners. There are other ways to accumulate miles. In recent years, more miles were awarded for using co-branded credit and debit cards than for air travel. Acquired miles can be redeemed for air travel, other goods or services, or for increased benefits, such as travel class upgrades, airport lounge access, or priority bookings.

If it was any lower. Top clans would RMT a crapton of gear and become invincible.

I think the system is fine as is.

Are you being serious? You used "dls" again. What in the world does "dls" mean now? Since you did ask about my usage of proper use of "big words", I shall tell you. I use "big words", as you so brutally describe it, because I can. I possess the verbal and literary dexterity to communicate using the English language. However, feel free to correct my "text/L33t/urban" speak if you happen to catch me utilizing them anywhere on any forum, foreign or domestic, and you have the urge to become a "grammar ****" as you so callously, but clumsily, describe me. Showing a lack of effort to use the proper words in their proper places is a hindrance to your personal, financial, and/or professional growth. Once again, I offer the advice of proper words for clarity of posts. But, I do agree that Hero Coin system is overbalanced in NCSoft's favor, just to keep it on subject.

Ya welcome, young student.

99% of the player base doesnt spend 1000 dollars a year on a video game. the hero coin is meant for the top 1%, everyone else need not worry about it.

That 1% probably has 0 life in real life...to spend $250k in game...I could buy a house, a new gaming setup, a PS3, PS4, WiiU, and a T.V....

Seriously. I would not spend more than $300 a year on this game.

Those ppl might already have all that.

And why would they have 0 life in real life?

mmm we are talking its 250k per item, i dont think a game should have items that require spending that much money, you're talking that theres at least 4 very good items worth having 250k ea?
I think thats just wrong.
This topic was discussed in the announcement thread... but of course it's not likely to go away either, as it's certainly controversial.

To be fair, this has nothing to do with that... you're not even talking about the top 1% being catered to with the COC belt. Even you, who has spend a pretty good amount of cash in this game, have still not spent enough in a year to get those top items. And I'd be shocked if there was anyone that has spent much more than you have in a single year on this game.

So you're talking about... maybe, 1-2 people across all the servers who MIGHT spend enough in a single year to be able to get one of the expensive items.

The only ones who have anything to gain by it are people making money off the game. Using RMT to get nc coins to invest in items to make more adena. Farmer accounts moving around hundreds of billions of adena around and constantly recycling a portion of it into NC coin to make more adena.

Even those characters would be hard pressed to spend that much NC coin on a single character in a single year.

If the hero coins rolled over this would be a non issue. Those items would be a pipe dream still, and the game probably wouldn't last long enough for even one of the top 1% of spenders to earn that many hero coins... but at least it would be feasible to do.

I dont think you are able to read AND/OR understand my post.

Based on your response ofc.

And I can put words in my own mouth, thank you very much.

Noone buys the 250k hero coin items. Dont be ridiculous.

It is a slap in the face to me by ncwest. If I am their top ncoin buyer they put the item closest to what I have spent still a couple thousand out of reach. so imo it wasnt a reward for supporting them or this game but another lure to spend more money...like 30 grand wasnt enough.

If I really wanted something, I would just ask Nova to "give" it to me...lol
