- It does not block cheat programs, never did.
- Slows game performance a lot.
- Way too many false-positives(wrong detections), making game unplayable.
- Not the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th........ time it have problems.
Also, its not clear what is it porpuse, nor what all it does on the background, witch can lead to serious privacy concerns, as it dosent do what its suposed to and even so its not replaced or removed.

when sace was community manager they made one insane ban hammer with the success of today's maitenance :) the effect was 2 days waiting for unbanning 100% of the people banned (incl me) wit hout even excuse
I completely back removing gameguard. Sense it was put in the game it has done nothing but cause crashes and bugs for everyone. Doesnt stop botters we all see them everywhere, always have and seems we always will Gameguard definitely hasn't been the solution there. Think it's time for a new anti-hacking tool.
After removing GG they will add another useless trash (which is also easy to bypass with bot and which create problems for legits), what's the point of removing GG?
i think that ur right, gameguard dont make any diference on people that use programs to farm adena etc,
so to avoid those things
the problem is that game is made for those people,
is design that only farming bot parties can get all adena, all items in events, and all kind of drops that we all need
normal people, need a way to make adena and items in game like daily quest, instances marks, petras, mentee marks etc (BUT WITH REAL PRICES, NOT ABSURDS LIKE ALWAYS THAT U NEED 5 YEARS TO GET A WEAPON LOL )
or adena wining contest where all people can participate all days, (not only 1% of psico donatas that spend 10,000 dolars a e year ) or dudes that have 10 parties boting all day and thas why they are full tuned)
only that way u will make adena sellers stop bussines (giving the people legit a way to get stuff in game)
Gameguard does nothing positive and disables or prevents a lot of other programs from running which I need to do my work while I leave my char to afk in the background for the benefit of my mentees.
While GG might have had a purpose in Korea where the majority of the players were playing from unsafe internet cafes, that hardly describes the NA or EU markets. So for us GG has been useless from the beginning because we play it on our personal PCs and don't need the heightened security.
Actually it is, but I see your intent and am being needlessly obtuse. GG is more of a player protection tool that is supposed to stop key logger's and such, more client side/source than third source. But its also supposed to protect from third source as well, was just never really effective seeing as the third source provider's put more into their effort's to make themselves viable then GG does to protect against them ( they work for month's at a time without being stopped, GG comes up with a fix to block them, one week later the third source has found a fix for the fix~~ ) so they win in the end. Funny thing is at its root GG itself is a key logger, which most don't know~~
Anyway's GG has alway's caused more issues than it solved and should have been replaced long ago, but I bet NCsoft has a contract and that has something to do with GG remaining~~

Yeah, they do, with nProtect. I don't see the point in it, since Gameguard is a total piece of garbage software.
Since according to Wiki it's supposed to block 3rd party software too, Koreans should have realized that by now, since their servers are literally clogged with baby bots.
