About Cardinal armor and dyes

Aeore Healer Started Last reply 41 posts
Hello i want to ask what is the best dyes, sub class and armor for cardinal/aeore healer class coz i started that last weeks since i stopped on hi5 client!thnx for your help(as far as i remember the best dyes was 5wit 4 con robe set and ud/cele resist critical or spirit depends what u want to play but here many things has changed so any help is wlc)
In regards to subclasses it does not matter what you make anymore as all subclass skills are given by any class (they are all passives now).

In regards to armour, Defense Type Heavy or Recovery Type Robes. I would suggest using heavy for PvP unless you have a highly enchanted robe set, for pve it doesn't matter.
I have full + con setup, because of pvp for oly i would change it to +INT/WIT. Because i'm not so rich as i would love to be i have normal dyes, not legendary.

About armor - i use robe set even in pvp (magic type). You have to test your char in hvy and robe, i know that i can play in robe (even if it's only +3 coz i fail every single enchant :) ) in pvp. For pve is robe enough :)

Subs doesnt matter, i have +cast + def + evasion and dual skill + 9% mdef/pdef

just some wonderings:

1) by full con, do you mean straight +15 con dyes? and if y, how much hp increase you got by it;

2) as you speak about robes in pvp, and I understand as mass pvp aswell, so why not the recovery type, since you wont be focused on nuking, anyway?

3) ok with the evasion from sub skills, regarding to what @Juji tested, I think I will change mine soon. Also, I'd love to hear about the resist physical/magical treats from dual passive skills, and how efficient they are on the day by day.
1) No i mean that i use everything + con (except my hair acc which is +5%pdef), so i have dye con (only +13), +con stew, AP, +con bracelet.

2) Because of olympiad.

3) Which skill exactly you mean?
Pretty sure he meant the evasion certificates from subclass. I personally didn't take them because the increase seemed to be of little significance...
well as i saw the answers was helpfull but i think im gonna use robe for the start and in the future ill see now about dyes it will take time and search to find a good set :D
Everything just depends on your game style ;)
true! since with all the help i took from this post i want to ask also the dyes is like the old dyes or it changed too and where i can get dyes?(i used to play on cardinal w+5 men-5 con+4 str-4) also what colour soul crystal needs the r buster and on which lvl i can enchant my skills?
i am sorry that i ask so many questions but all this game its kinda new to me after the update to god. thnx again for the help guys
Dyes - auction house, NPC where you can randomly get some dyes (near grocery or in gorcery), drop from RB, you can also trade cubic fragments for dyes, dont remember more.

About weapon i suppose you ask for acumen, so its -red crystal.

You can enchant only skills what you have on maximal level, but honestly i don't remember when i get every single on max lvl.
yeah for acumen. well thnx a lot its a great help !
For weapons always follow the RGB rule. SA n.1 = red crystal, SA n.2= green crystal, SA n.3 = blue crystal. The additional SA then depends mainly from the first SA you put on the weapon andthe mammon helps you identifying which is better to put first to have the desired bonuses, but it's a topic that can be talked about much later...
is it worthy to take with diplomas armor set weapon etc from the npc after the awakening? or i should keep the diplomas and play with s80 till 90+?
From diplomas you can keep blessed spirit shots. If we talk about PvE you can play in dynasty or s80 till 90+, i also had dynasty robe on my second healer ;)

For PvP it's ofc not enough.

P.S. If you want just add me on skype ;)
Unenchanted S80 is still a bit risky, but if you want to save the diplomas for spiritshots, by any means it's a good choice... I still have my event shots after a year ;)
yeah that i thought :)
hello i have some questions. 1)i saw some human class that have as dualclass feoh soulhound so the question is. since i have an aeore cardinal as main class how i can take the kamael sub class to awaken in feoh soulhound since i cant take kamael class from raina? 2) also as many u said about passive certif stats is it bad idea to take everything on pdef/mdef since c speed can be max in lvl 99 with full buffs? 3) what attrib is good for cardinals weapon? thnx

1) It's simple: first you pick any nuker-type subclass you want and enjoy playing (sph, sps, necro or sorc), awaken it at 85 (feoh Sts, MM, Soultaker or Archmage), then return to raina and, by paying 100m adena, change that dualclass of yours to Feoh Soulhound. This can be done with any race and class, except for Dominators and Maestros (race-specific only).

2) If you talk about duaclass certs, there's no problem. Any tiny bit of pdef/mdef is always welcome. But you might consider another options associated with this setup, since nowadays its not only about pdef/mdef when you reach 99.
well about certif in my mind is that i want to play a pvp cardinal with robe set and try to make a good set++ so coz of robe i ll take a bit c speed also with buffs and in higher lvl and i think that more pdef and mdef it would be nice but i would like more opinions in pvp cardinals with robe set thnx for help though

3) Which skill exactly you mean?

1) Atm I'm rebuilding my toon regarding dyes (I had only cheap ones for wit, lol), and going into + WIT + CON mix, since I dont care much for matck - its enough as it is. See, I'm not 99 yet (mainly 'cause I always bored to death and the game seems more efficient kicking me off than catching me, instead), so I'm using heavy set still (with robe set for instances and solo). Pretty fine.

Funny enough, I'm giving a break by playing more actively my 2nd toon (mine beloved Iss Hiero, created to live in the shadow of my main, but on pair for the crown) and while doing oly with her, I'm using WIT accessory and I'm surprised how good it works for her. Although she is really cheap (no seed talisman, no lvl 7 element on armor/weap, no sub skills, no enchantments on skills, no dyes, lol), some 99 peeps are having a heavy time trying to beat her up - if they ever do, sometimes.

2) I'm using magic-type since ever, too. The only catchy thing about recovery-type is that + WIT and stun resist - when I get a 10% Matck hat, I'll try switching that type set and see how it works. Ofc, with some +4 retributer to work it out.

3) About the duaclass passive skill I was talking about:

Dual - Physical Trait Increase Increases success rate for physical attacks and physical defense by 20%.
Dual - Mental Trait Increase Increases success rate for mental attacks and mental defense by 20%.

They cost 2 cert each, but I dunno how it works, and if it's worth. I mean, does that physical resistance apply to normal attacks, skills attacks or both? or is it just regarding skills?

But every person I ask or talk about, they always dont a have a clue, or dont bother with it.

ps.: sry for the long time btw the replies :D

edit: @Ntemi, with cheap WIT dyes, you can almost max your casting speed while using robes, but if you'r not 99 yet, surely you will need more to keep going along. 99 characters did hit hard before, so 99 characters with AP hit even more harder than ever, now. My advice? Unless you r willing to spend some $$ on L2Store for pvp items, nor have a supportive clan/cp to help you gear up, or the worst, not have the basic gear to start with (I mean, boss jewels, good element/oe armor, vanity items like stats agathions, shirts etc), then you better no bother with pvp at all (I mean, being mainly focused on it, as you seem to imply). First just care to xp efficiently and peacefully and try to improve and build yourself up till 99 - where the s.h.t really gonna start to matter, and when the AP will have a heavy impact on that robe setup.
Hm, i use matk hat only for oly, for PvP it's pointless. There is still better bonus from mdef/pdef/con.

About rest, almost all healers 99 who do proper PvP change setup to CON. I even started play with R sword with healt, which is +25% HP. WIT dyes are for me without bonus because even without them you can catch max cast speed very easy.

About dual skills - never tried those two. I had triger for pdef but i changed it for passive deff, which is better for me.

(Ofc my setup can be for someone bad, so as i said - people need to try what fit to their gameplay)
^ Pretty hardcore CON setup, I'd say. Anyway, I'm always afraid of that minus of add in WIT - you know, as DE, casting speed is a ***ing factor that matter sometimes.

Too, according to what @Juji said (http://boards.lineage2.com/showpost.php?p=3406503&postcount=40) in regards of WIT and debuff landing/defense rate, it's something to think about. See, although all the damage receveid for almost 6 members in an enemy part, I and any healer will fall only if they efficiently land some sort of 2-3 stacked debuffs in those ~10s between a BP cooldown.

But I'll test it myself (cutter health + con stew buff + 10 WIT + 5 CON + robe set + wizard harmony + divine elixir).
I'm kamael so i also do not have so much WIT :) And i do not have problems with debuff in PvP.

As i said, my setup is good for me but for someone else can be strange. Also depends on enemies you fight.

Also for PvE and olympiad i would choose very different setup :) So depends what people want.
guys i got another newbie question i took my first subclass since i finished the awakening with main so its time to make the dualclass but i cant take any quests from adventure npc why?
Uh not sure but i think you cant make them when you have done quests on main.
Uh not sure but i think you cant make them when you have done quests on main.

so to lvl up the subs i need to exp them only w/o quests? not even dailys?
People exp like this for ages;)
People exp like this for ages;)

well mostly i asked coz in the clan i am they told me that they took quests to lvl up all their subs so...
I had done my subs long time before GoD so i have no idea tbh about those new daily q for low lvl and stuff
ah ok ty anyway :)
about revalation skills any suggestion for aeore cardinal?
I have disparation and undying will
so to lvl up the subs i need to exp them only w/o quests? not even dailys?

daily quests start post lvl 60, and yeah, if you have done them in any sub for that day, you cant take it again till next day - so watch out wich sub you wanna finish that quest for that specific day, and claim the reward on it.

I'm not sure when you started the game nor if you have done the Kekropus's Letter chain quest, but you can visit your race master (master of the race of your current subclass) in Gludio, and see if there's any quest from him/her. If he/she does, then you can start the chain quest and receive the steel door coin (nice to buy equips/weaps for your 3 subclasses, remember to not trash the coins nor try to OE the items, just the safe enchant is enough).

The Kekropus's chain quest is 1-time only, so you'll only be able to do them with 1 of your subclasses (or neither, if you already have them done with your main - this mainly for characters created post-Valiance update).

@iNoisia: Good to know. I'm pretty low on WIT base, too, and that sucks. Btw, since 99+ is all about robes, I have no problem with getting max casting speed while in party. For oly, I'm using a retributer sometimes, and for that purpose, the WIT seems better than INT. Anyway, I need that 10% Matck hat yet.
is it a good idea to play with knights harmony and robe set instead of hvy armor and con/wit dyes to replace the casting speed that u lose from the knights harmony buff?
Well depends on.
There are some guys who like playing with Robe + Knights but I would prefer Hvy + Wiz because of Reuse, M.Critical Rate +100%, MP Recovery Bonus + 20%, MP Consumption for magic skills - 15%.

And you got a quite decent Cast Speed even with Hvy. According to your race you might add some wit dyes, but still.
People play in robe set because of HP bonus, then cast speed. If you have decent AP you can easy max your pdef in robe so hvy is not necessary. Also if you have more luck than me and your set is +6 playing in heavy set lose point.

Theres no need to play on knight harmony since archers are not ur main problem anymore, Even facing end game archers u can survive them without knights,This days the real Damage comes from Feohs and daggers,Knight will make u easy target to feohs but will not help u to survive against daggers.
I Took Wit leg dyes, Robe set, allways playing on wizard. This is pretty much how my toon looks at important pvps.

Can u tell me if there is a big difference in healing between for example r99 cutter and forgetten blade (s-grade)? I ask coz of agu costs.

Yes theres difference, around 1/2k on panic heal. But once again all goes to the gear u can afford in ur toon Top call would be r99 cutter bloody or dark(25% from health and 15% cp mp hp from bloody/dark option),Mid call R99 cutter, Last call would be bellow that with reflect, mainly problem fighting top end players is they are stacked to resist ur reflect so this make ur call difficult .
Yes, there is a difference. Well chain heal and balance life are not affected. The problem is when you need to restore CP. Then you can feel the difference. To be honest if you dont have money just buy some mysterious swords and go for active augments. And use high grade weapon without augment.
I have active :) I was thinking about passive in cutter.

Did you stack 1 million like I did before the PtA Mentee Cert Fix?
