Anyone have any news on Lineage Eternal??? I played Lineage 1 for very long time and have tried lineage2 but it was just so full of bots I couldnt stand it! Anyway, My old char in Lineage 1 was named Botnaked or ladygrrr. I am just looking for info on the danm game that was suppose to be released this year! Thanx Guys!
good chance we won't see it.
it's not particularly lineage style.
it's not a massively multi player game.
more of a single player, or small group game.
I'm also an old Lineage 1 player who didn't like Lineage 2 and is waiting for Lineage Eternal. LE is in development since 2008 when the project started, and still is in development hell, probably in late 2014-beginning 2015 beta will open.

otherwise...
i haven't heard anything on it.
if you don't know, Lineage 1 looks like Lineage Eternal and it is an MMORPG, LE can be seen as a Lineage 1 with better graphics and a much more awesome gameplay(actually LE is the sequel to L1).

And Lineage 2 takes place in an alternate universe. I get that it was supposed to be a prequel, but when you really start to think about Lineage 1's setting you realize it is just dumb. And anyways Lineage 2 has strayed so far from Lineage 1 and our characters have seen so much incharacter story related power creep that the two games are no longer reconcilable.
I mean at this point all our characters literally have the powers of a god, and some of our characters are so long lived (Elves and Kamael [and from what I understand there are no Kamael in Lineage 1 nor even a vague mention of them despite them being incredibly prominent NPCS in Lineage 2 now]) that they'd still be around by the time that Lineage 1 is supposed to take place a mere 150 years down the road (for example some of the Kamaels who were part of the original Giant uprising are still alive and fairly young looking). These god characters would make it impossible for the events that were supposed to have occurred just prior to Lineage 1 to actually occur. Like that titular witch and her spell whose functionality has zero basis in Lineage 2's lore. I'm pretty sure that all our Kamael and Elf characters who were by that point parents of rather large broods would have struck her down with a lightning bolt.
Well actually, that would make for an interesting sequel. As all the humans died off and only the Elves and Kamaels with god powers were left, they'd be able to easily take over the world and turn the humans back into the slaves they started as. Well I guess it wouldn't really be that interesting since that would basically be all there is to the game. Unless the Kamaels and Elves decided to duke it out in one last epic war that threatens destroy the entire planet itself. But I guess as gods they could just make a new one. But I don't think that anyone should really take the Terry Goodkind copout.
Unfortunately for you, humans kicked, kick and will always kick a@ss in Lineage. And it won't be changed unless you apply for a lineage direction-writing job at NCSoft Korea. The fact that all characters shown at G-Star 2011 Lineage Eternal gameplay are all humans shows that, but other races and classes will be added in LE according to the lore.

That's because the amount of human loving by the head of the development team is so extreme as to make the fiction laughably implausible.
The intentional ignorance and refusal to consider and take into account the implications of the elves greater longevity and magical potency was one of the biggest flaws of the setting behind Lineage 1 and even the lore in Lineage 2.

Nobody actually cares about that, just look at any MMO with human race like WoW, TERA, ArcheAge, Bless, Elder Scrolls online, etc.
In all of them humans have equal power and skills compared to other races, why Lineage should be different?
I just hope they continue the story and not a reboot i'm really tired of always the same i just want to PLAY the final chapter of this great story, i really want to see the final battle against Shilen with all races united.
the final battle against Shilen with all races united.
riiiight
You mean the final battle of Bots against more buggy Shilen minions, right?
Newsflash: the lore in L2 is one of the vaguest in all the game lore out on the market, and that is because they don't need to have a coherent story which to end, they just need to have some money milking machine in order to fund other projects.
From some few promo videos I've seen about this Lineage Eternal project, it shows a gameplay drastically different from what we used to have now, reason why I doubt it will be too heartbeating as people here is hoping, along making me wonder why all this fuzz about it.
Good graphics, stereotyped characters, more of a single player gameplay, linear storyline and game advance - all in all, just more of the same, nothing new.
Also, I think the major part of players (who used to play for more than 5 years or more, since the early times) is too tired of all this s.h.t, to say it simple. Exhaustion is the word. Geez, I cant even try @Innova 'cause only the thinking about starting all this crap over again makes me creep deep on my bones - so even if I'm addicted, I aint getting more of this s.h.t, no way.

if they could, Lineage 1 would have the gameplay shown in Lineage Eternal, but the tech in 1998 didn't allow that.
Due to the success of Lineage 1, NCSoft will release a version of the game for tablet-smartphone, the game is the same, but the controls were changed in order to implement some hold and drag features:

i was actually under the impression that lineage eternal was a sort of co-op action game rather than an mmo.
something along the lines of diablo, with more siege based command roll rather than down and dirty grunts.
i haven't really looked into it in a while though.
is there a site detailing the game dynamics?
All sites refer to what was said on the G-Star Game Exhibition 2011. At that time there were already videos and everything, but when you look at the recruitment section on the NCKorea page, they seem to be completely reworking the game. So the information from 2011 is probably not accurate any more, and no new information has been published. The best summary of the old stuff is this: http://www.inven.co.kr/webzine/news/?news=39881
(check also the blue links at the end of the article)
If you want to play Lineage 3, just go to play TERA. Is pretty much all we hate from L2 fixed, plus a real combat action system without crappy targeting, infinite grinding and pay to win.
That game is made by the same developers of L2 that left NC Soft.
