Hi folks. It would seem that my dark rain skill doesn't work in Zaken. Last two times in there I have tested it by getting as close to middle as I can and even though Zaken was there it didn't give me the Zaken resist message. I tried about 4 times, shifting slightly each time in both cases. Is it possible that I have a problem peculiar to my toon? I had thought it was working so may have missed finding him on previous occasions. Thanks. Toon is lvl 87 ***. LOL, that would be Aeore Shilien Saint.
i tell every healer who thinks they can find zaken...
healer is unreliable.
Dark rain only displays if it crits.
because it isn't a debuff.
any aoe debuffing skill will display zaken's location.
tank hates, area stuns, poisons, anything which has an effect other than just raw damage.
you can find zaken with dark rain, it just needs to crit, so i try to tell them it's unreliable. let the tyrr find zaken.
or summoner with tank summon.
if for some reason tank reuse is too high, try summoning one cute bear, and one racial tank summon.
Thanks for the reply. It seemed unreliable to me. When I was doing one yesterday with another toon, the healer found it. I asked what she used to find it, and she said she used Dark Rain. I told her it didn't work for me, and she said it worked 100% for her. That was why I came here.

maybe some races have a higher crit rate?
all i know is... i've failed to crit before, and we ended up searching the whole place twice. that is when i discovered the unreliability of dark rain.

it must be a low chance to not crit.
it's not the case, dark rain just does aoe dmg, that counts too
