Testing: DEX Skill crit influence past the 85 value.
Question: What is the skill crit chance, past the 85 DEX. Tests were done using just 80 DEX as maximum. I can go to 90 DEX soon, so if I can go everyone that has an ELF can. So please do this test to see if skill crit changes past 80DEX.
And if it's possible to test it till 95 DEX. That would be great.
Reason: If it's worth going past 80/85 DEX or not. So I can focus my build on STR or CON.IMPORTANT: This lab test shows how DEX and STR influence Critical Skill Rate for Archers. I will be conducting an additional test for Rogues.

Each chronicle there are new Dye's Effects to Archers...
Besides the Nerf, now Archers may have to change their Dyes if they wanna keep their old Critic. Skill Chance, which was influenced by DEX before Valiance.

LF Juji confirmation. Essentially DEX is useless on Yul's now.

There we go. I knew something was off. For what the Test Requester was asking for, I assumed that light armor was worn to test the different in DEX so it could be used in comparison.
Come on Juji, I expect stuff like that from the lab amateurs at Innova, not you. :P
What these numbers mean: 77/1000?
you crit 77 times out of 1000?
I'd like to find out more about accuracy and how evasion works these days.
Want more accuracy, get to the side of them for some more or get behind them for even more or get to the side and above them for even more or get behind and above for the most.
Every blow-type attack that lands is reported as critical hit.
Unless this is a text error, I'm not sure how increasing skill critical rate would affect them.
Also, does anyone know what exactly "vital spot attack rate" does? Does it increase land rate of Reverse and Heart Breaker? ( in their descriptions it says "attempts a vital spot attack" )
So, is Vital Spot attack a chance to land such a skill, or some sort of a higher damage hit?
Juji, if you could shed some light on this, I'd be grateful.

All 4 blow-type skills have half-kill, but only Reverse and Heart Breaker "attempt a vital spot attack". The way this is worded makes it seem as if they are not the same thing. But it could be due to translation.
I could never find any official description of "vital spot attack". Would be great to see an official word from Juji.
Even looking at Korean translations, they never specifically mention a relation between vital spot attack and half kill.
since i can't find any exaustive topic about it, what exactly are the effects of an half-kill, i mean, What it does to CP? What it does to HP? What it does when land multiple times?
In less words, i would like to have a full explaination with details.. until now i'm still confused by all the topics i did read

In pvp it drains all cp. In pve it drains 50% of the target's current hp.
Doesn't work on raids and certain rare monsters.
So, the formula is: IF CP are active on the target, Half-Kill make CP 0. But what happen if there are no CP? You get the target's HP drained by 50% or the Half Kill have no effect?
half kill rates are fixed, vital spot means you do x2 dmg on your blows aka skill crits
Some say its 2x dmg, some say its half kill, some say its both..
But again, the description never specifically mentions any relation between any of them. And all 4 blow type skills can crit and half kill, vital spot is mentioned only on two.
Hopefully Juji can clarify what it actually does.

No)
Angel of Death skill text was changed to "Vital Spot Attack Rate" instead of “Critical Rate” to match the skill functionality.
See)

If you get, half kill with all stabs other then backstab only cp will be lowered. If you get half kill with backstab, both will be lowered. And if you use all other stabs instead of backstab, and target has some CP and halfkill lands only CP will be drowned. So critrate= pvp, halfkill=pve. Tested it with a D grade dagger). That's why Angel of death is nothing more then an UE skill)
And reverse has more chance to land halfkill then backstab)
Anyway go elf, go wr, go full dex, ignore str stuff, make 98 dex, and enjoy)

Wait wait wait, you run a lot.. i need schematics details or it will confuse me more..
let's see if i got it correctly:
1) IF the target have CP, Halfkill make target's CP became 1.
2) IF the target does have not CP, Halfkill does not work.
3) IF you use backstab, Halfkill make target's CP and HP goes to 1
Do these 3 phrases are correct? If n.3, is correct, there is something wrong.. wasn't lethal strike (HP=1) removed as effect few patches ago?

1. CP is 0.
2. Half kill always works.
2.a) The big question is what everyone is asking I assume is if:
CP= 0/30.000
HP= 50.000/80.000
To get CP and HP to the above value you used backstab it was a half kill, and it critted.
So now you use other blows. And it halfkills. Does it do any damage? Or not?
That's what I would like to know. My bet is it's 0 damage. But then again, you need a few second to "cast" "animation" the skill. So with that time would a target's CP go up by 1?
3. No, target's HP goes down to the damage the skill has dealt.
3.a) There is still 1 more lethal skill. I was a fool for deleting it, it has really good looking animation. And it's 5% lethal chance. Though I have no idea if the % is the same for a 99 toon)
So many years have passes, the skill got lost in translation. Noone knows what it gives. I bet not even Koreans)
It's Half kill rate.
The Russian translation says it increases lethal strike chance by 10%. But lethal strike has been removed from Reverse in Tauti update, after GoD.
If we look at the English portion in H5, GoD, Glory Days, it remains the same - increases vital spot attack rate by 10%.
But the Russian translation changes from Critical Damage in H5, Critical Rate in GoD, Lethal strike chance in Glory Days.
Would be nice to know what it actually does today.
Silly buff, it was only usefull for pre god blows. Now blows land, all the time)
One less buff to use then.
Can you see if Blood Stab can be affected by no reuse/cool down reset, that is triggered by Superior Dagger Mastery?
I never had 0sec reuse with that skill.
Thank you.If the attack gives a debuff or a self buff, you receive double duration instead of skill reset. This applies to skills like Blood Stab and Heart Breaker and other class skills like Armor Destruction and Shadow Blade.

You can get skill reset on buffs. I should know, I always accidently use them twice and a row and waste it. :(

Heart Breaker and Blood Stab are self buff and debuff skills. Skill mastery will double the duration of their buff/debuff.

As it appears, there are actually TWO graphs of diminishing returns for DEX (Imagine the graph of f(x)=x^(1/2) connected to another graph of f(x)=x^(1/2)). In other words, skill critical chance is increased at diminishing marginal returns until ~70 DEX (i.e. DEX is more significant from 40-50 range than 50-60 range). At this estimated point, DEX experiences a jump in significance and follows a new graph of diminishing marginal returns in which a point of DEX in 70-80 range is more significant than one in 80-90 range and 60-70 range. The producers of Lineage 2 had a plan after all: each class has different base stats where the power curve is greatly magnified.
TL;DR DEX is not worthy to add if your base DEX is under 55 and you cannot increase it to 75-80, where you receive a significant boost. Inversely, decreasing your DEX (e.g. +4 STR, -3 DEX dyes) in the low 50's and high 40's range yields detrimental effects.

Not sure what you're talking about.
Juji explained what "vital spot attack rate" does. And that's the end of that.
And no, Heart Breaker doesn't trigger a vital spot attack. It itself is a vital spot attack skill and thus is affected by vital spot attack rate.
It's also a self buff skill that will give you increased Spd. + 40, Evasion + 5, and Rear Critical Damage + 30% for 5 seconds, or 10 if skill mastery is triggered.
Which was also pointed out previously.
So, what is the best DYE for Archer on this time? I play Lineage 2 since Chronicle 2 and always i have used DEX for archer and STR for dagger. Did something changed with this new version? I'm confused with this explanations.

Good afternoon!
Sorry more use google translator to read the post, it is very poorly translated and can not understand well the meaning of these formulas that put.
Archer'm finding very weak after these updates.
To put an end!
Archer should use STR or DEX?
Or what exact point of DEX and STR?

tks
It's kinda hard to determine DPS since archers are not autoattack toons anymore... So the combination of skill usage (including stances) is what determines your DPS and there are *way* too many permutations.
If you're autoattacking all the time (which you shouldn't), then str is better.
I do not believe str affects skill damage (except for the part where your normal attack patk is factored into the damage, which is minimal compared to the skill's patk rating), nor skill crit damage, so dex (to me) seems like the better stat for archers since dex affects skill crit rate more than str does.
