Tyrr Titan Help

Hey guys,

Been playing my Tyrr Titan to level 90, But as i have now awakened my offensive skills have dramatically changed. I am primarily PvE focused and enjoy doing dungeons and raid bosses in between my leveling.

I just had a few questions, I apologize is some of them seem super obvious. I have been rather lazy with my Titan as it doesn't take much to play them, but i am now looking to really go beyond that and truly be the best i can with my class.

Questions;

1. Is there currently a 'correct' order or system to use the Tyrr abilities in, in between normal attacks?

2. What would be the best skills to enchant?

3. Is there a definitive best Weapon/Gear selection? (Currently using Twilight Heavy Attack Armor and a +3 Apo Slasher) I have heard people say for PvE Light gear and Duals are better but am not convinced because nobody has explained the reasoning.

4. Best PvE buff? (Ogre, Bear, Rabbit etc) Currently using Ogre.

5. Best PvE dyes?

Thanks in advance.
I'll give it a go, havent played Tyrr as much as the other classes, but based on experience from playing most classes in party settings and observing other Tyrrs, and having played my dual Tyrr to 95, here goes:

1. PVE is pretty boring and there is not really much for you to do. Using aoe stun helps keep party members from being damaged by mobs in aoe. So thats good to use. Any knockback/knockdown is mostly for pvp, using them in pve will just mess up the mobs for all melee, losing dps while moving back to the target. If you are aoeing you round up mob in one location, dont spread em out again by knocking them all back. You have a pdef debuff, low mp cost, spam it. But dont spam any of the skills to the extent that you run out of mp in just a few minutes.

2. Dont worry about oeing anything but passives until you are alot higher lvl. For now try to get your passive in the armor and wep you use to atleast 3.

3. Some weapons will get bonuses from your passives. For Tyrr Titan I think thats 2handsword and polearm. All tyrrs are good at aoe (and some excel at it), so getting a polearm is always a good idea. As for armor, I have tried both heavy and light armor, and light armor seems better for me. If you cant really put element on your armor though, go for heavy, since you might need the extra pdef (I never wear anything that isnt 120*3).

4. Check your crit stat. If its low, try Hawk. If its high use Bear. If you need extra defense (tough mobs etc) use Ogre. Both Hawk and Bear have crit dmg multiplier of 30%, ogre has only 10%, but Ogre offers more defensive stats.

5. Some go all +++STR. I went all ++CON. I still have no trouble soloing, and it gives me a bit more survivability in aoe and pvp. If you cant afford a weapon with 300 element, maybe try going +++STR.
Cool, Thanks.

Appreciate the response even though you said you aren't that up to date. Hopefully will get more responses as people start waking up and coming online :P

So, in PvE i should avoid Stun and Knockback/Down abilities? Hopefully someone can give me an advanced list of most useful and/or used abilities in PvE. I will be STRICTLY PvE, So PvP won't matter.

Even with a +300 weapon, +++STR wouldn't be a good idea? Guess the extra survivability is nice, Even at 99. That's why i was asking about the enchanting of skills. I'm pretty good at farming adena so money isnt usually an issue.

Generally i am asking not only for Leveling but also End Game and Max Level as i am nearly there.

Again, Appreciate the help.
Smittie was spot on for everything. Using skills in pve is a no no unless you need the stun/cancel from eruption. The damage from eruption sucks in pve as do all other skills. Power bomber and eruption do zero damage to any mob that resists the debuff like raids.
Stun is still good most of the time, and fairly mp efficiant.

Knockback should very rarely be used in pve.
Knock back should only be used when your healer lags or your staring death in the face :p if you are tanking as a tyrr it's better to keep hitting than to stun typically.
